Regarding the Red Album, I absolutely love it. I've been playing it non stop and I've been around since the Beatles were on the go. I do find some tracks better than others of course. But I've found on my smaller stereo "I am the Walrus" does sound flat (it sounds like the phase is reversed). But on my high end setup it sounds fine. I don't mind the ending one bit. I also LOVE "Magical Mystery Tour" as it's massive sounding now. Likewise "Norwegian Wood" - being able to hear ALL the bass notes now makes the song much, much better and fuller. I generally like the improvement of proper stereo for most of the earliest tracks, but the Rubber Soul tracks are fantastic. I seriously hope there's an imminent remaster of that album, as it's one of my favourites. All in all I think Giles did a fabulous job. I guess I don't fear change ;)

Nice video. My favorite was buying the Now and Then 7 inch single. I didn't buy much vinyl this year. I attended 6 concerts in 2023. Sting, Crowed House, Blondie, Squeeze, Duran Duran and John Mellencamp. It's fun to reflect on the fun we had in 2023.

I got the Walmart version of A Love Supreme, and love it. It was under $20, mastered by Ryan K. Smith, and it sounds phenomenal. That said, I'm sure the UHQR version sounds better, so in your case it makes sense when the only version you have of an amazing LP is of the utmost quality. It just didn't make sense for me to get it when I have a cheap copy that sounds outstanding.

I have steered away from it this year and became focused more on the new music. We each have our happy spots. 10 years from now you will still have these wonderful classics and I may be wondering what the heck was I thinking lol

Ah ! Received my Andrew Hill yesterday and gave it a spin a few hours ago. Didn't know anything about it but had the chance to buy it more than half price, so I trusted the Tone Poet Series and oh my, what an incredible album ! Sound quality is superb, the playing is fantastic. The only flaw but maybe I'm picky is as the record what not issued until the 80's and the album cover was done for the 2004 edition, I found the font type a bit too anachronistic for a 1968 recording. But a gorgeous cover nevertheless, can't go wrong with Tone Poet !

I really liked the video and of course I am happy with the Stones mono box but I am very happy with the Japanese Budokan 8 LP box. I have got box of springsteen at a good price volume 1, the only thing missing is the born to run which I bought separately The 7 versions Hackney Diamonds and box of tina turner and brussels affeir red vinyl Japanese edition of the stones. MoFi definitely made the correct choice with those thinner boxes. They still give a “premium” and deluxe experience, while not unnecessarily having 1 album take up the same space as 6 albums on your shelf.

I have the exact opposite reaction of my 313 Grant Green vs. the Electric Byrd - I got all the 313 series from Bluenote - so I got the BLUE and WHITE Mix - not the Yellow and Black Mix - and I gotta say - these are ALL a BIG Disappointment to me with the exception of Live at Mozambique - but I might be more swayed by the session on that rather then the sound quality - I think these Third Man 313 series missed the boat by a mile - when compared even to the Bluenote Classic series. Mine have lots of noise and they are slightly dish warped as well.
I agree! The quality just wasn't there. I'm spoiled by Blue Note and this just wasn't up to their standards. I do agree that the music of the Grant Green album is wonderful. I wish it had better sound quality. Thank you and take care.
Good show. It’s good that you buy records even though the Record Companies and Labels don’t deserve your dollars and loyalty. Because they ripped off Artists for years and would take 90 per cent of a records profit. Leaving the Artist practically nothing. Prince resented this and sued to acquire the rights to his Master tapes. He finally won. He famously said if you don’t own your Masters, your Masters own you! He was right! Then he died soon after. I won’t get into Conspiracy theories as too why. Probably money. He was probably worth more to Warner Bros dead than alive. Then they could raid his vast Vault of unreleased songs for one thing. Anyway, I finally got rid of my LPs and cassettes then I switched to CDs. And now they want me to go back to LPs? Heck no! I’m not rebuying hundreds of albums all over again! But that’s the Record Companies. They expect me to go back. What’s next? 8 Tracks? Nothing doing. But as long as you love the music that’s what matters most. Not collecting just to own it and not break the seal. That practice annoys me to no end. Anyway, I must say you look incredibly beautiful in this video! 😮 You have beautiful Blond 🙎🏼♀️Hair! In most cases, I'm not rebuying anything. I had some cassettes as a teenager but not a huge collection like today. I think artists get more money from vinyl and CD's than from streaming so at least I am putting more money in their pocket. Thank you and take care. ♥️🤗

I'm a fan of Electric Byrd. I'm a fan of this period of Donald Byrd. For me it is much more enjoyable than Gil Evans, Chet Baker, Grant Green and most Blue Note albums. You should have picked up the WalMart exclusive Love Supreme. It sounds great for a fraction of the money.

The tree looks great! I picked up the Beatles blue release but have not listened to it yet. I don't get too picky about remixes because I see them as just an addition to the catalog and not a replacement so if I don't like some of them that's ok. Which Miles Davis are you missing? I only have one Mofi Davis and it's ON THE CORNER and it's fantastic. I love that record so much I practically have it memorized and when I first spun the Mofi I heard so many new things I was blown away! What a record! Great video and take care!

Great video. I totally agree with your comments on AJA , UHQR edition. It sounds good but not great. I have a few other albums , some UHQR's and other labels which sound better to my ears. And before someone gets on my case, I have a decent HiFi set up. Also I am very selective about buying live albums. I saw mixed reviews on the sound quality for the live Grant Green so gave it a hard pass. Happy Christmas.
Unlike you, I had pre-ordered the Grant Green album. I wish I had waited. Aja does sound very good but I think so many people raced about it that my expectations were way too high. Great video ! I'm aligned with you on several of these. Hackney Diamonds, find my self going to it often. Same goes for the Hotel CA One-Step. The sound quality is top tier, lately been playing the The Last Resort a lot. Furthermore, glad to see how you feel about the UHQR AJA. It's my go to copy of AJA. Also purchased Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow recently which is a great one, and some Fiona Apple reissues. RSD I picked up Gram Parsons, Linkin Park Demos, The Doors, and a few others. I think my favorite jazz purchase was Cannonball Adderley in Chicago-Verve Acoustic Sounds Series. Thanks for the fun video once again.

I’m a big fan of Steely Dan but I hesitated at putting out $170 for the Aja UHQR after all’s said and done but it is the best copy I’ve heard; definitely something you have give full attention to because you’re getting up so often to change sides. I saw the bad reviews for Pretzel Logic and decided to pass on that, even though my only copy is the ABCD-808 reissue and sounds absolutely horrible; the Qobuz copy is so much better.
I agree the Aja release is very good and made a lot of people happy. I just heard the high praise before I heard the album. Nothing could live up to that kind of hype. Lol. My copy of Pretzel Logic isn't great but it will have to do. Thank you and take care.

Great Job as always Malinda. I found the Coltrane to be top three of the UHQR series for 2023. In my opinion Aja was #1 with the 45 Miles Davis Kind of Blue taking the second spot. Thank you for your work Happy Holidays beautiful tree!
My favorite Tone Poet (so far) is the Chet Baker reissue, it lives up to the hype! That being said, I have seven Grant Green Tone poets, I love jazz guitar, and his "I want to hold your hand" is due this weekend, can't wait! Great video, as always and Merry Christmas!
Number one I don't think the Christmas tree is affecting anything it's a big room number two I purchase new speakers this summer they are smaller than my Martin Logans so I also got me a R e l subwoofer for my Christmas present. which makes two for the room I did keep my mirage on the left side and the Rel on the right side both are 12-in and I'm getting some amazing bass I think I have mine set a little higher than you do. Congratulations on those beautiful subwoofers great choices. I got the new acoustic sound Genesis selling England by the pound 2LP 45 RPM really big base on that record. Omg that blood sweat and tears I have the ORG 2LP 45 RPM One of the best sounding records in my collection The music literally jumps off the speakers. You folks have an amazing stereo system better than probably 99% of everyone in the world. Remember the law of diminishing returns you have some Superior audio equipment that represents great value from this point the differences become a lot smaller and the prices get a lot bigger. Best part of my stereo is my Dood battery-powered tube preamplifier it's been stated to preamplifier is the heart of your stereo and it really made a big difference in my sound. But probably not as much as that amazing subwoofer That's a game changer there The bottom end wow.

And my Van Halen one step came in today! Listened to it for the first time before I watched this video. I’ve never heard that album sound like that! Every instrument and vocal was in perfect unison, and I felt the drive and energy of every song. It felt like I was at a live concert! PS: Love the tree and Christmas sweater!

When I think back to all of your videos in 2023, it struck me just how much ground you've covered. Some of he artists you mentioned in this video leave me cold. 😜 That's okay, because I have some highlights in my vinyl acquisitions this year too. The very best 33 1/3 rpm records released this year are the all analogue Craft Recordings Bill Evans Waltz for Debby and Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Sunday at the Village Vanguard is truly great. When I heard that record for the first time, it sounded like being in a jazz club I used to frequent when I lived in the Silicon Valley. When you get a record to sound that good, you know that you really have something. Coltrane's A Love Supreme UHQR is a great version of the album from AP/QRP. 😻 It is everything that I hoped it would be. It sounds better than AP/QRP's 45 rpm version mastered from the master tapes years ago. Everything that comes with this UHQR makes it a true celebration of the greatest jazz album of all time. Another highlight in 2023 was the Craft Recordings release of The Complete Jazz at Massey Hall album set. This album is a must have for any serious jazz collector, since this concert showcases some of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. 👍👍👍👍👍 The joy of new releases in 2023 isn't over yet. Larkin Poe is issuing a vinyl EP of acoustic versions of some of their songs on their most recent Blood Harmony album. It just shipped. That is very likely to be a gem for Larkin Poe fans like me. 😻

Yes, Craft Recordings are excellent. Trust me, the BET's OJC's are so good that I'd make an exception for one or both of the albums. You don't have to flip 33's as much and you have less wear on your 45 by alternating. Hot House has master takes, alternates, and bass overdubs (Mingus recorded bass tracks to improve the original recordings). You can hear the album on YT. Thank you and you take care too. I'm pissed off today, as I've been waiting weeks for delivery of The Beatles red album on red vinyl along with a tshirt (which held the order up). I finally get it today after all, and I go to play it, and my amp packs up two songs in. Why do things always go wrong when you haven't got any money? This is going to be expensive - what great timing.

I also bought War The World Is A Ghetto RSR Day Black Friday release and it’s great. It’s super expensive. But, I love War. $125.00 dollars is pretty expensive.
I’ve bought 450 albums this year, lots of gems especially Grant Green Nigeria, however my favourite is the new Peter Gabriel album, the Brightside version, just so interesting blew me away.

Though I buy CD's as opposed to vinyl, I'm always going to be biased toward most things Brian Jones-era Stones related and have to admit that mono box looks particularly tasty. As for the Red & Blue, I'm with the consensus that while the Blue is definitely flawed, it's the revamped clarity of those crucial, early Beatlemania-defining cuts on the Red album that are a major plus for me, even if I agree that the original I Saw Her Standing There and the incendiary Twist & Shout in mono will always possess a punchier, proto-punkish edge. Either way, time to give Ringo his due! And bring on the Rubber Soul remixes!

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Dirty on my Diamonds 💎 is so worth a listen. My big winner was Charley Crockett Live at the Ryman. Years from now it will be considered one of the greatest live albums ever

I bought the Carpenters Greatest Hits 1969 to 1973. First it’s warped, Second the hole was too small to sit on the plater. So I tried to make the hole bigger with a knife and I scratched the last song on side one 😢😢. Plus it doesn’t sound great. It’s definitely my jeers for 2023 and I just got it a couple weeks ago. I hate when the hole in the middle is to tight. Very annoying.
A little Beatle fatigue here,,still keep spending though. Clean sounding correct stereo separation,, and a black and red and blue vinyl box… money grab,, perhaps.

I am glad they stuck with the year titles than calling the new versions The Red and Blue albums its like calling that 1968 The Beatles self title album The White Album I would have been thrilled to have these three record sets 40 years ago when this was my go to Beatles albums just like you Melinda' we both never thought we would be interesting in owning the whole Beatles music catalog and that we would still be buying Records 40 years later after the Compact Disc was the big thing back then I will stick with the 2023 Red over the Blue for now I'm in ♥ with both of them and I Feel Fine L😂L Rich " Take Care Melinda .

Most have completely missed the boat on Steely Dan's "Pretzel Logic"...if they've even listened to the QHR rather than relying on inadequately auditioned reviews. Pretzel Logic originally was never engineered/mixed very well, with a notable undesirable shrillness to it that the QHR toned down so that album can actually be pleasant listening for a change. As the original had issues, the QHR can't be the knockout in sonics as are the other Steely Dan QHRs, but it is certainly a heck of a lot more enjoyable to listen to in its' QHR version.
I appreciate your feedback on this. I can understand that they were able to make Pretzel Logic sound better than it ever has. That's a great thing for the die hard fans. A lot of people that buy these UHQR type of releases expect to be dazzled, after all, it's a lot of money. AP did the best they could with what they had but I also get why people that spent that much money were unhappy. It's a tough call for music labels. Especially one like AP that rarely has a misfire. I give the one-step Hotel California a big jeer. The bottom end is so boosted it's unlistenable on my full range system. I don't get why so many people have said it's good or great when it's by far the worst MoFi record I own (30+). Is everyone listening to such bass starved systems they don't notice it?
Third Man Records routinely puts out sub standard pressings not sure why they are getting to handle classic jazz records. I would love to see reviews of newer records and artists - besides the newest rolling stones record I feel like the most recently released record was the phil collins record that came out 42 years ago. It’s kind of why I am tired of Mofi in general. I don’t care about Eagles records but I do like your reviews and commentary. It would be cool to hear what you think of the new Queens Of The Stone Age or the Boy Genius record.

The biggest chair ever would have to be the Beatles red and blue album actually I bought a couple of vinyl records one which was released in 2022 the revolver super deluxe box set a few months back and then recently I bought the Beatles red and blue expanded on CD and vinyl I love how the vinyl is unique in that you have the tracks in chronological order but separated while on the CD versions you have the tracks in chronological order of sequence like for example I want to hold your hand with this boy and please please me what I saw her standing there I love it.
A lot of people are enjoying the vinyl and CD releases for those different reasons. A lot of people also liked the affordability of the CDs. 🤗♥️ They were great releases for 2023. Thank you and take care.
Unfortunately I can’t play my vinyl records now because of the fact that I have a broken receiver I need to buy a new receiver but I love buying vinyl records so that way when I do buy a new receiver I have some wonderful records to listen to which I think is great. shopping online is OK but there’s something wonderful about going into a record store and looking at CDs cassettes and vinyl the only cassette album I have a Smokey Robinson and the miracles 35th anniversary edition but I think it’s a fantastic album the red and blue I also love the revolver super deluxe box set I decided to go with the LP version because the fifth desk has only four songs I love getting all the music especially on CD there should be more songs than there are on the revolver super deluxe but hearing the remix revolver tracks for the first time was such a mind blower for me especially on yellow submarine and here there and everywhere where everything is so clear and brought up

Regarding the Red Album, I absolutely love it. I've been playing it non stop and I've been around since the Beatles were on the go. I do find some tracks better than others of course. But I've found on my smaller stereo "I am the Walrus" does sound flat (it sounds like the phase is reversed). But on my high end setup it sounds fine. I don't mind the ending one bit.
I also LOVE "Magical Mystery Tour" as it's massive sounding now. Likewise "Norwegian Wood" - being able to hear ALL the bass notes now makes the song much, much better and fuller.
I generally like the improvement of proper stereo for most of the earliest tracks, but the Rubber Soul tracks are fantastic. I seriously hope there's an imminent remaster of that album, as it's one of my favourites.
All in all I think Giles did a fabulous job. I guess I don't fear change ;)

I got the Walmart version of A Love Supreme, and love it. It was under $20, mastered by Ryan K. Smith, and it sounds phenomenal. That said, I'm sure the UHQR version sounds better, so in your case it makes sense when the only version you have of an amazing LP is of the utmost quality. It just didn't make sense for me to get it when I have a cheap copy that sounds outstanding.

Ah ! Received my Andrew Hill yesterday and gave it a spin a few hours ago. Didn't know anything about it but had the chance to buy it more than half price, so I trusted the Tone Poet Series and oh my, what an incredible album ! Sound quality is superb, the playing is fantastic. The only flaw but maybe I'm picky is as the record what not issued until the 80's and the album cover was done for the 2004 edition, I found the font type a bit too anachronistic for a 1968 recording. But a gorgeous cover nevertheless, can't go wrong with Tone Poet !

I really liked the video and of course I am happy with the Stones mono box but I am very happy with the Japanese Budokan 8 LP box. I have got box
of springsteen at a good price volume 1, the only thing missing is the born to run which I bought separately The 7 versions Hackney Diamonds and box of tina turner and brussels affeir red vinyl Japanese edition of the stones. Thank you for these wonderful videos and happy holidays to you.

For some reason, there is no middle ground with Hotel California. The people that love it really love it and others really dislike it. We definitely agree on the Coltrane UHQR and it should have been a bigger hit and received more praise. Thank you and take care.

MoFi definitely made the correct choice with those thinner boxes. They still give a “premium” and deluxe experience, while not unnecessarily having 1 album take up the same space as 6 albums on your shelf.

I have the exact opposite reaction of my 313 Grant Green vs. the Electric Byrd - I got all the 313 series from Bluenote - so I got the BLUE and WHITE Mix - not the Yellow and Black Mix - and I gotta say - these are ALL a BIG Disappointment to me with the exception of Live at Mozambique - but I might be more swayed by the session on that rather then the sound quality - I think these Third Man 313 series missed the boat by a mile - when compared even to the Bluenote Classic series. Mine have lots of noise and they are slightly dish warped as well.
I agree! The quality just wasn't there. I'm spoiled by Blue Note and this just wasn't up to their standards. I do agree that the music of the Grant Green album is wonderful. I wish it had better sound quality. Thank you and take care.
Good show. It’s good that you buy records even though the Record Companies and Labels don’t deserve your dollars and loyalty. Because they ripped off Artists for years and would take 90 per cent of a records profit. Leaving the Artist practically nothing.
Prince resented this and sued to acquire the rights to his Master tapes. He finally won. He famously said if you don’t own your Masters, your Masters own you! He was right! Then he died soon after. I won’t get into Conspiracy theories as too why. Probably money. He was probably worth more to Warner Bros dead than alive. Then they could raid his vast Vault of unreleased songs for one thing.
Anyway, I finally got rid of my LPs and cassettes then I switched to CDs. And now they want me to go back to LPs? Heck no! I’m not rebuying hundreds of albums all over again! But that’s the Record Companies. They expect me to go back. What’s next? 8 Tracks? Nothing doing.
But as long as you love the music that’s what matters most. Not collecting just to own it and not break the seal. That practice annoys me to no end.

I'm a fan of Electric Byrd. I'm a fan of this period of Donald Byrd. For me it is much more enjoyable than Gil Evans, Chet Baker, Grant Green and most Blue Note albums. You should have picked up the WalMart exclusive Love Supreme. It sounds great for a fraction of the money.
That's true. I think the Walmart version is from the same metal parts. 😳 The UHQR sounds amazing but it was a lot more expensive. Electric Byrd and Andrew Hill's Dance With Death were probably my favorite Blue Note reissues of the year. Thank you and Merry Christmas. 🎄🤗♥️

The tree looks great! I picked up the Beatles blue release but have not listened to it yet. I don't get too picky about remixes because I see them as just an addition to the catalog and not a replacement so if I don't like some of them that's ok. Which Miles Davis are you missing? I only have one Mofi Davis and it's ON THE CORNER and it's fantastic. I love that record so much I practically have it memorized and when I first spun the Mofi I heard so many new things I was blown away! What a record! Great video and take care!

Great video. I totally agree with your comments on AJA , UHQR edition. It sounds good but not great. I have a few other albums , some UHQR's and other labels which sound better to my ears. And before someone gets on my case, I have a decent HiFi set up. Also I am very selective about buying live albums. I saw mixed reviews on the sound quality for the live Grant Green so gave it a hard pass. Happy Christmas.
Unlike you, I had pre-ordered the Grant Green album. I wish I had waited. Aja does sound very good but I think so many people raced about it that my expectations were way too high. Like you, there are other UHQR'S that stand out more for me. Elephant is excellent and deserves the high praise. Thank you and take care.

Great video ! I'm aligned with you on several of these. Hackney Diamonds, find my self going to it often. Same goes for the Hotel CA One-Step. The sound quality is top tier, lately been playing the The Last Resort a lot. Furthermore, glad to see how you feel about the UHQR AJA. It's my go to copy of AJA. Hi again. I love the Aja UHQR and Bruce MoFi new releases, hope for more Bruce as well. Also love Hackney Diamonds, but the LA Dodgers variant is the best. Also purchased Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow recently which is a great one, and some Fiona Apple reissues. RSD I picked up Gram Parsons, Linkin Park Demos, The Doors, and a few others. I think my favorite jazz purchase was Cannonball Adderley in Chicago-Verve Acoustic Sounds Series. Thanks for the fun video once again.

I’m a big fan of Steely Dan but I hesitated at putting out $170 for the Aja UHQR after all’s said and done but it is the best copy I’ve heard; definitely something you have give full attention to because you’re getting up so often to change sides. I saw the bad reviews for Pretzel Logic and decided to pass on that, even though my only copy is the ABCD-808 reissue and sounds absolutely horrible; the Qobuz copy is so much better.
I agree the Aja release is very good and made a lot of people happy. I just heard the high praise before I heard the album. Nothing could live up to that kind of hype. Lol. My copy of Pretzel Logic isn't great but it will have to do. Thank you and take care.

Great Job as always Malinda. I found the Coltrane to be top three of the UHQR series for 2023. In my opinion Aja was #1 with the 45 Miles Davis Kind of Blue taking the second spot. Thank you for your work Happy Holidays beautiful tree!

My favorite Tone Poet (so far) is the Chet Baker reissue, it lives up to the hype! That being said, I have seven Grant Green Tone poets, I love jazz guitar, and his "I want to hold your hand" is due this weekend, can't wait! Great video, as always and Merry Christmas!

Number one I don't think the Christmas tree is affecting anything it's a big room number two I purchase new speakers this summer they are smaller than my Martin Logans so I also got me a R e l subwoofer for my Christmas present. which makes two for the room I did keep my mirage on the left side and the Rel on the right side both are 12-in and I'm getting some amazing bass I think I have mine set a little higher than you do. Congratulations on those beautiful subwoofers great choices. I got the new acoustic sound Genesis selling England by the pound 2LP 45 RPM really big base on that record. Omg that blood sweat and tears I have the ORG 2LP 45 RPM One of the best sounding records in my collection The music literally jumps off the speakers. You folks have an amazing stereo system better than probably 99% of everyone in the world. Remember the law of diminishing returns you have some Superior audio equipment that represents great value from this point the differences become a lot smaller and the prices get a lot bigger. Best part of my stereo is my Dood battery-powered tube preamplifier it's been stated to preamplifier is the heart of your stereo and it really made a big difference in my sound. But probably not as much as that amazing subwoofer That's a game changer there The bottom end wow.

When it comes to cheers, I agree how it was awesome that they repressed those Miles Davis records! And I’m with you on that one step hotel California..soooo good. Oh! And my Van Halen one step came in today! Listened to it for the first time before I watched this video. I’ve never heard that album sound like that! Every instrument and vocal was in perfect unison, and I felt the drive and energy of every song. It felt like I was at a live concert! PS: Love the tree and Christmas sweater!

When I think back to all of your videos in 2023, it struck me just how much ground you've covered. Some of he artists you mentioned in this video leave me cold. 😜 That's okay, because I have some highlights in my vinyl acquisitions this year too. The very best 33 1/3 rpm records released this year are the all analogue Craft Recordings Bill Evans Waltz for Debby and Sunday at the Village Vanguard. Sunday at the Village Vanguard is truly great. When I heard that record for the first time, it sounded like being in a jazz club I used to frequent when I lived in the Silicon Valley. When you get a record to sound that good, you know that you really have something. Coltrane's A Love Supreme UHQR is a great version of the album from AP/QRP. 😻 It is everything that I hoped it would be. It sounds better than AP/QRP's 45 rpm version mastered from the master tapes years ago. Everything that comes with this UHQR makes it a true celebration of the greatest jazz album of all time. Another highlight in 2023 was the Craft Recordings release of The Complete Jazz at Massey Hall album set. This album is a must have for any serious jazz collector, since this concert showcases some of the greatest jazz musicians of all time. 👍👍👍👍👍 The joy of new releases in 2023 isn't over yet. Larkin Poe is issuing a vinyl EP of acoustic versions of some of their songs on their most recent Blood Harmony album. It just shipped. That is very likely to be a gem for Larkin Poe fans like me. 😻
Thank you for sharing your favorite releases. The Bill Evans records are getting great reviews and I would have bought them immediately if I didn't already have the AP Bill Evans box set. I'm trying to quit buying duplicates. Hopefully, OJC will continue to put out releases I don't already have. It's a great label.

Yes, Craft Recordings are excellent. Trust me, the BET's OJC's are so good that I'd make an exception for one or both of the albums. You don't have to flip 33's as much and you have less wear on your 45 by alternating. Hot House has master takes, alternates, and bass overdubs (Mingus recorded bass tracks to improve the original recordings). You can hear the album on YT. Thank you and you take care too. I'm pissed off today, as I've been waiting weeks for delivery of The Beatles red album on red vinyl along with a tshirt (which held the order up). I finally get it today after all, and I go to play it, and my amp packs up two songs in.

I also bought War The World Is A Ghetto RSR Day Black Friday release and it’s great. It’s super expensive. But, I love War. $125.00 dollars is pretty expensive.

Though I buy CD's as opposed to vinyl, I'm always going to be biased toward most things Brian Jones-era Stones related and have to admit that mono box looks particularly tasty. As for the Red & Blue, I'm with the consensus that while the Blue is definitely flawed, it's the revamped clarity of those crucial, early Beatlemania-defining cuts on the Red album that are a major plus for me, even if I agree that the original I Saw Her Standing There and the incendiary Twist & Shout in mono will always possess a punchier, proto-punkish edge. Either way, time to give Ringo his due! And bring on the Rubber Soul remixes!

Kenny Wayne Shepherd Dirty on my Diamonds 💎 is so worth a listen. My big winner was Charley Crockett Live at the Ryman. Years from now it will be considered one of the greatest live albums ever

I bought the Carpenters Greatest Hits 1969 to 1973. First it’s warped, Second the hole was too small to sit on the plater. So I tried to make the hole bigger with a knife and I scratched the last song on side one 😢😢. Plus it doesn’t sound great. It’s definitely my jeers for 2023 and I just got it a couple weeks ago. I hate when the hole in the middle is to tight. Very annoying.

I am glad they stuck with the year titles than calling the new versions The Red and Blue albums its like calling that 1968 The Beatles self title album The White Album I would have been thrilled to have these three record sets 40 years ago when this was my go to Beatles albums just like you Melinda' we both never thought we would be interesting in owning the whole Beatles music catalog and that we would still be buying Records 40 years later after the Compact Disc was the big thing back then I will stick with the 2023 Red over the Blue for now I'm in ♥ with both of them and I Feel Fine L😂L Rich " Take Care Melinda .

Most have completely missed the boat on Steely Dan's "Pretzel Logic"...if they've even listened to the QHR rather than relying on inadequately auditioned reviews. Pretzel Logic originally was never engineered/mixed very well, with a notable undesirable shrillness to it that the QHR toned down so that album can actually be pleasant listening for a change. As the original had issues, the QHR can't be the knockout in sonics as are the other Steely Dan QHRs, but it is certainly a heck of a lot more enjoyable to listen to in its' QHR version.
I appreciate your feedback on this. I can understand that they were able to make Pretzel Logic sound better than it ever has. That's a great thing for the die hard fans. A lot of people that buy these UHQR type of releases expect to be dazzled, after all, it's a lot of money. AP did the best they could with what they had but I also get why people that spent that much money were unhappy. It's a tough call for music labels. Especially one like AP that rarely has a misfire. I give the one-step Hotel California a big jeer. The bottom end is so boosted it's unlistenable on my full range system. I don't get why so many people have said it's good or great when it's by far the worst MoFi record I own (30+). Is everyone listening to such bass starved systems they don't notice it?
On my system, the MoFi sounds incredible. We just have different ears and set ups. I do appreciate and respect your opinion. Thank you and take care.

Third Man Records routinely puts out sub standard pressings not sure why they are getting to handle classic jazz records. I would love to see reviews of newer records and artists - besides the newest rolling stones record I feel like the most recently released record was the phil collins record that came out 42 years ago. It’s kind of why I am tired of Mofi in general. I don’t care about Eagles records but I do like your reviews and commentary. It would be cool to hear what you think of the new Queens Of The Stone Age or the Boy Genius record.

The biggest chair ever would have to be the Beatles red and blue album actually I bought a couple of vinyl records one which was released in 2022 the revolver super deluxe box set a few months back and then recently I bought the Beatles red and blue expanded on CD and vinyl I love how the vinyl is unique in that you have the tracks in chronological order but separated while on the CD versions you have the tracks in chronological order of sequence like for example I want to hold your hand with this boy and please please me what I saw her standing there I love it.
A lot of people are enjoying the vinyl and CD releases for those different reasons. A lot of people also liked the affordability of the CDs. 🤗♥️ They were great releases for 2023. Thank you and take care.
Unfortunately I can’t play my vinyl records now because of the fact that I have a broken receiver I need to buy a new receiver but I love buying vinyl records so that way when I do buy a new receiver I have some wonderful records to listen to which I think is great. shopping online is OK but there’s something wonderful about going into a record store and looking at CDs cassettes and vinyl the only cassette album I have a Smokey Robinson and the miracles 35th anniversary edition but I think it’s a fantastic album the red and blue I also love the revolver super deluxe box set I decided to go with the LP version because the fifth desk has only four songs I love getting all the music especially on CD there should be more songs than there are on the revolver super deluxe but hearing the remix revolver tracks for the first time was such a mind blower for me especially on yellow submarine and here there and everywhere where everything is so clear and brought up

If you notice, all your jeers, except for one record, came from Third Man. I don't have good luck with them either. I avoid them now.
