"Teen Titans" was the only DC cartoon to come out during the original run of the DC Animated Universe that didn't hit you over the head with "duh, of course this is in the same continuity." Because of that, fans have debated for years and years whether or not "Teen Titans" is part of the DCAU. Well, today we're here to set the record straight. Either that, or...to spawn 16 more years worth of arguing.

Did you know? We'll do a "Will It Canon?" on whether "Teen Titans" and "The Batman" take place in the same continuity, but only if we get to 200 Patreon supporters...

I haven't watched the video, but I'm going to jump in with my pro se opinion... No!!!
I grew up on the best intro to a cartoon ever and a live action stunt show at Six Flags... When Axis Chemicals exploded the heat would dry out your eyeballs. Teen Titans and TT Go! are way too goofy to come from the same universe.
Anyway as actual proof I got bored one day and watched the teen Titans go movie as background noise. It's a multiverse movie and the actual DCAU Teen Titans show up in the exact BAS/TNBA style.
@john2g1 there aren't the teen titans in the dcau
@@jacthomas-qk6dj read what I said again... I'll simplify it for you.
Teen Titans Go! had a multiverse movie that started out as TT vs TT Go!. However, by the end of the movie TT from various ages of comics appeared including a cameo of DCAU drawn Titans.
@john2g1 I just watched the scene and couldn't see them do you have a screenshot or link or timestamp?
Nope. Nada. Nyet!! But the figures are!
Old Wounds says Dick never wore his Robin costume again after quitting. That alone kills off any idea TT somehow happens post-college graduation.
Yeah, also TT robin definitely isn't a college student.
😊😊
It's also a different Robin costume. In the DCAU Dick wears Tim's Robin costume: Red leotard over green tunic and, um, hose? (Dick's in the comics was a red tunic over a green leotard.) The show has a very different animation style, much more surreal. And there's the question of the Flash. Wally West, voiced by Michael Rosenbaum in both Teen Titans and Justice League/JLU.
The Teen Titans stories are also lightened for the cartoon. (Brother Blood leads a cult in the comics; here, he's a very generic big bad. Oh, and Beast Boy kills Madame Rouge and General Zahl for what they did to the Doom Patrol; here, the Doom Patrol are all alive and well, rather than being retcon'd later.)
Robin's age during this period in the comics is a mess. He turns 20 during Crisis on Infinite Earths, but he and Speedy have comics hinting at their age in the 70s. For instance, Speedy owns his own place during the famous heroin storyline, suggesting he's older than the other Teen Titans. Robin is...well...from 1972 to 1980 is two years in-universe. Enough for Batgirl to serve one term in Congress and then promptly be voted out. So he's 17, right? But he also starts college in 1969, and went to prom in 1965. And he has ties to the Justice League and the CBI (a CIA pastiche used mostly in Speedy and Danny Chase stories) when the Titans start.
Whatever the case, I seriously doubt they could keep their TV-Y7 rating if they'd done Terror of Trigon exactly as it was in the comics: The Good People Have Good Sex trope is fully in play here, with a heartwarming afterglow in contrast to Wally's nightmarish vision of Raven; also we can assume Dick and Kory were at least 18 at the time, since George Perez said so.
Titans Robin is 17 at the start of the show.
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1id So, something like in New Teen Titans. (Robin was like, 18 in 1980 there. He turns 20 in 1986 during Crisis on Infinite Earths. Meaning his birthday party, everyone's invited, lots of deaths, and no one will remember a thing.) How are all these teenagers owning their own place?
I just always assume its in continuity with The batman TV show.
killerdino17 Same
Killer Moth kinda messes that up though. His Teen Titans look & his The Batman Charaxas look don't look anything alike.
killerdino17 YES Thank you I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought that. I remember watching both of them as a kid thinking they were connected.
@@wesleywiggins958 It's not implausible that two people can use the same name. I'm pretty sure The Batman had two Clayfaces.
Could probably throw the Legion of Superheroes with those
To address the Slade in Robin's head thing, its implied it's a chemical agent/toxin in the dust on Slade's mask making Robin hallucinate, almost like Scarecrow's fear toxin or the stuff cheetah used on WW in JL:Doom.
Wasn't it implied slade was alive at the end of the episode?
@XDarksoulX1129 It's complicated. There was an open ended twist at the end that the mask had been triggered by remote signal from outside the tower.
@XDarksoulX1129 It's left open ended, but it's revealed that Slade is dead by Season 4 and working for Trigon, so either he was actually dead in "Haunted" or he died after

Most people believe that "The Batman" cartoon share the same universe in the Teen Titains cartoon because both Robin and the style almost look a like. But even it doesn't existed, maybe the Teen Titains elements share similar to DCAU just like crisis on two earths.
Although in the tie-in comics for Teen Titan we do see Batman who has his exact same design as The Batman
@@joeker5208 Which leaves a better theory that Teen Titans existed in The Batman universe.
@@dontemorgan1517 that’s what I’m implying, although if it is or isn’t in same universe I don’t think it adds all that molucj or takes away.
@@joeker5208 It will be easy unlike DCAU continuity.
@@dontemorgan1517 no denying that, but if DC or someone who works on either shows says they aren’t canon to one another then I can’t say I’ll be heart broken, even though I didn’t grow up with the DCAU and instead grew up with The Batman and Teen Titans
I hope someday Bruce timm makes a teen titans movie that models their original plans
A lot of buildup for what we know is ultimately a NO. 😏
It's not just a "NO", it's a very hyped "NO" :D
Well a lot of people assumed it was at least possibly canon, myself including. That's until I started watching more of this channel and realized the continuity was incompatible. The BTAS, in particular, is very much set in the mid-90s when it was released, rather than a vague present day whenever "now" is. TT was set at least in the early 2000s with technology level that would be in line with JL/JLU. Which is impossible since Dick, who is the Robin in BTAS and TT, was already Nightwing by that time.
@@foldabotZ Not necessarily the case as BTAS has interesting tech and setting, sure it’s supposed to be the 90s, originally, but it also has a lot of influences from 1940s and 50s America, in Batman and Harley Quinn they mention things that are from modern 2015-2021.
it's somewhat of a video essay. they had to present their research to show how they came to that conclusion. that's how an essay works.
There's no real way that it fits in canon with the DCAU; but I do think it could fit rather well into canon with The Batman. I'm not 100% sure on The Batman's last season where they had other heroes show up is the one I never caught all the way through when I watched it as a kid, but I remember as a kid watching the show and thinking how it actually made more sense that the Dick Grayson of that series was the one of TT way, WAY more than the Dick of BTAS.
Same
Not that this has to do with the topic, but the Gordanians in Justice League always felt off to me, because they and Tamaran are just so associated with the Teen Titans that pitting either of them against any other character or team just seems wrong for their role in the comics.

I’m just going to assume it takes place in The Batman universe. Robin looks similar in both series.
But Killer Moth doesn't
@@wesleywiggins958 Costume change maybe?
@@dbchoobie1924 He doesn't wear a costume in Teen Titans. He's a giant moth man. In The Batman, he gets turned into a giant moth man, but it doesn't at all resemble his Teen Titans design.
Peter Not Peter that, and TT has an older more experienced Robin. Assuming it’s a few years ahead of The Batman, it would be feasible. Plus The Batman’s version of Batman appeared in a tie in Comic.
Agreed
At the end of a Teen Titans tie-in comic, we see Batman, and he looks almost exactly like Batman from “The Batman”. Also, Robin in “The Batman” looks so much like a young version of Robin from Teen Titans. I believe these two are linked, but like you, I’ve never watched The Batman all the way through. I’ve also never watched a full episode of Teen Titans, admittedly.
Similar artstyle to the Legion of Superheroes too
You’re missing out of Teen Titans. That show was literally my childhood.
I’ve watched both all the way through and from what I can gather Teen Titans takes place after “the Batman”
And even though killer moth looks different he still is all mutated so we could just imagine that his different design is like the design changes from Batman tas to tnba
@@declanmorden Yeah, either Killer Moth mutated further, or its another Killer Moth, which isn't all that unusual of a concept in this stuff.
I mean, there's a whole video on this channel detailing all the Man-Bats.
I always thought the Slade thing was an advanced form of Scarecrow's fear gas.
One of my favorite things in Teen Titans Go is Control Freak. They use him to basically establish that CF made his own continuity of the Titans and whenever they get too troublesome (or he gets bored) he just reboots them again.
Such a good show, such a loss.
The Joker creped me out.

@Non-Ugandan Knuckles I knew someone was going to bring that up.
Does Teen Titans take place in the same universe as 'The Batman' cartoon in 2004?
@Elemental King All in due time.
@23:47 Bruce Timm: My influence would have been more of a hindrance than a help.
*Video shows sketch of a Starfire wearing far less than her animated version did*
😆
in fact, a crossover with static could have been a more organic way to integrate the teen titans into the continuity of the timmverse than with the league. I say this because of the youthful and casual tone of both series. batman always having the answer for everything.
I always felt teen titans could be part of "The Batman" timeline
Imagine if Tim Drake becoming Joker Jr explained why he was so Dark and serious in the Titans show. Even though we know that was actually Dick Grayson.
My heart wants it to be canon, but my head knows it isn't. lol
I just know deep down in my heart Teen Titans is in the same universe as The Batman (2004). I just know it!
I always loved pretending that they were since it actually chronologically fits & there’s ZERO contradictions to disprove it😆!!
@@jeffrousseau4033 There are barely any points to prove it's canonicity. Besides Robin having that sick Spider-Man eye looking mask.
And Killer Moth? I guess he counts too, man probably worked out a bit and became a freaking goliath compared to his counterpart in The-Batman.
The Batman incarnation of Batman appears in a TT tie in comic
@Plague doctor Teen Titans Go! Issue #47 (The end). 'The Batman' Batman watches Robin from the distance.
@Will N There was a TV spot which contained both The Batman and Teen Titans: ua-cam.com/video/scJB123aBbo/v-deo.html
In my mind, the biggest obstacle to fitting Teen Titans and Justice League into the same universe is Titans season four. When Raven fulfilled her destiny and Trigon was able to invade the Titans' world, there was no Doctor Fate, or Etrigan, or Deadman, or any other supernaturally-affiliated hero come to address the situation.
Having Superman not show up when Slade takes over a city that had its own TV news broadcasts could be explained if he was off-world at the time. But for a Lord of Order or a high-caste demon of Hell to not be aware of Trigon's invasion... can only be explained by them being completely absent from this setting.
Heck no it won’t canon! Style is too different! I think the rule is that not everything that is Bruce Timm style is canon (Brainiac Attacks) but everything that is canon is Bruce Tim’s style
Man that collage of the five Joker designs all laughing is wallpaper worthy.
SHES THE KEY
I thought of that joke the second you said key, I’m proud of you for putting it in ♥️
It could be possible TT is instead canon to ‘The Batman’ or even ‘Legion of Superheroes’; I think I remember Derrick J Wyatt (one of the art directors on Titans) saying the Teen Titans’ version of Batman would have looked something like ‘The Batman’’s had he ever appeared on screen, and DJW also did art direction for LOSH’s first season!
I mean, _maybe_ Teen Titans Kid Flash is supposed to be Bart Allen, who took up the mantle of Kid Flash only a couple months after Teen Titans started airing? That being said, I simply cannot imagine Teen Titans taking place in the early to mid-1990s
Darn, another UA-cam Channel became Self-aware.
Maybe, DCAU Earth-12 is some kind of Flashpoint? Or "Teen Titans" is Pre-Crisis Era?
Or maybe it’s some Hypertime thing
I remember being so confused/annoyed when they did the Nightwing reveal in season 2. He wears Tim Drake’s suit, he’s got Tim’s suits, he’s a good detective like Tim, that Red X ploy was definitely something Tim would’ve tried (especially in the post Bruce “death” Red Robin series)... but nah. He’s Dick Grayson.
I mean I got over it eventually because Teen Titans is dope as hell as a series, but IT BOTHERED ME AT THE TIME!
LiamIsBatmanNow poor tim can't have his own suit, jason stole his black and red suit in under the res hood too.
it was no surprise though, the starfire/robin thing would be weird with tim instead of dick.
@@relev6567 i mean, they're apparently doing Jason/Starfire three days, so...
Death Stroke would have been a good mention. Robin makes it a point to try and find out who he is in the series but if he was the same Robin from TAS then it wouldn’t even be a question for him because he would already know that he’s Slade Wilson
Even as a kid, I never thought of this show as canon at all
DCAU theories in a nutshell. Yup, legend has it that some people also think Robin (The Batman) is also Robin (Teen Titans 2003).
That's the big question. We want to know if Robin is Robin! WE DON'T KNOW!
Well in a tie in comic for TT,Batman appears and he looks exactly like Batman from The Batman
Great video! I pretty much lost it when James just pulled a Bane on that DVD case.
I always assumed it was part of the same universe as The Batman (2004)
Nothing contradicts this, they're the only Robins I see that use birdarangs and a staff
Never thought about it but it makes much more sense for it to be apart of "The Batman". Not saying i think is is, its just more likely
i would say it's more connected to 2004 The Batman, with it's animation style
I loved to hear someone talk about this so in depth and imma let you finish,
But Slade didn’t project himself inside Robin’s mind. The dust he inhaled was a hallucinogenic type of deal, like Fear Gas in dust form. So it was actually Robin’s mind going off how he sees Slade and his own trauma...
...which also makes everything about 10 times darker.
I always wished there'd been a way to make it canon (I had playfully sort of headcanoned it as a still-young Robin telling Batman wildly exaggerated versions of his adventures), but when you're right, you're right. I think I read long ago that there had been vague talks or musings about a potential JLU/Titans crossover when the shows were still running, but that the creators didn't know what form it would take. But well, at least we got those little Easter eggs across shows, like Speedy showing up in JLU and Michael Rosenbaum voicing Kid Flash on TT
Oh James there is no way out. We are stuck here for all of eternity.
Loving the close-ups for emphasis and "intensity"
Teen Titans: I was SUPPOSE to be cannon
James: I WILL BREAK YOU!
Fun Fact, Scott Menville who voiced Robin, was also the voice of Tim Drake Robin in the DCAU videogame "Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu". Personally, that was what made me think it was canon.
One of many, many smaller/inconsequential bits of info we left out of this video, also for the sake of time. It’s definitely interesting that that happened, but it doesn’t mean DCAU Tim = TT Dick.
@@dcauwatchtower Why didn't Tim have the same voice in that game?
One of the biggest timeline problems with TT I've noticed is when BB says to the second Red X, "I still think you're Jason Todd" but the Robin of TT is most definitely Dick Grayson. In the Canon Dick would be Nightwing years before Jason Todd is trained by Bruce to be the next Robin and red x clearly has the same training as Robin.
Doesn’t mean much-could be a situation similar to the recent “Titans” show where Bruce took on Jason almost immediately after Dick left. Whatever they wanna write is what they gonna write.
If Teen Titans _was_ set in the DC Animated Universe, it would have to take place between Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures. Here are the reasons.
* There's no Justice League anywhere in the cartoon because they haven't been formed yet, and only Batman is mentioned, which could suggest Superman had not yet moved to Metropolis.
* The Dick Grayson Robin had split off from Batman, but had not yet become Nightwing.
* Wally West, who is voiced by his Justice League voice actor Michael Rosenbaum, appears in Teen Titans as Kid Flash, before he became the Flash. Whether or not this means that Barry Allen or even Jay Garrick already existed before is another story.
* Mike Erwin's Speedy appears in Justice League Unlimited and uses the same design, but he is much older than how he's depicted in Teen Titans.
* The Tim Drake Robin is said to be with the Titans in an episode of Static Shock. This would mean that it's no longer Dick Grayson's Teen Titans, the team that was in the cartoon, but a different team with different members since all the originals are now adults. The fact that Wally West and Speedy are both adults in Justice League/Justice League Unlimited proves this.
"They couldn't figure out how to do it".
The Technis Imperative: What am I, chopped liver?
Did the "James isn't real," thing more beyond this video? I've seen the bits from the Fatal Five videos, and now I'm trying to see if you guys continued that. The one with James' dad kind of seemed to follow that because of the beginning, but Mattie went to a random forest in the future and experienced a video call version of Will it Canon?
Just the fact that you've had a plot connected videos is cool. Even if you stopped. It's still fun.
Thanks! We didn’t plan to stop, it’s on pause due to not being able to get together and film because of the virus. But in the meantime, they’re all collected in a playlist of ours called “Quarantine Story Ketchup.”
It doesn't matter if they are from the same universe or from different universe, both were the best series.
No, Teen Titans is 100% not canon to the dcau, but it might be cannon to The Batman (2004)
Guess we’ll just cancel the debut! 😜
"Is it?" and "But can it?" are two fundamentally different questions.
And #3, WILL it?

It’s not surprising to me for it not to be canon to the DCAU.
why must you torture me with a 2 day wait!?!!?
It's Over 9000 Productions Ikr
I guess it might depend on where you grew up, but I had a graduation ceremony after completing junior high school (Grades 7 & 8). If he did so as well, then Robin could still be around 14 years old during the events of Go, and ages 15-18 throughout the rest of Teen Titans. This would make him and Kitten about the same age in Date with Destiny. She could even be a year or two older than him, even if she doesn't act like it.
This makes me feel old so many good memories
I always thought they were in separate universes because Flash in justice league is Wally west yet kid flashes usual identity is wally west
Bruh we missed out on potential crossovers with Teen Titans AND Static Shock?! SMFH
21:42 The most underrated aspect of these 'Will It Canon?' episodes is when James, without remorse, destroys DCD cases. This is the kind of content I love on WDB.
I used to think that teen titans is part of the universe of "the batman" for the style of drawing and animation
I remember watching it as a kid and I thought it was a part of the batman 2004 series
Nothing contradicts this they're the only Robins I see use birdarangs and a staff
It could turn out that its actually Jason Todd and he just took up the name Dick Grayson he’s pretending to be dick grayson while dick grayson is in collage or when he quit as robin, that would explain why red x is kind of a redhood rip off and that Jason todd never shows up in BTAS and TNBA but Jason does exist in BTAS so this could be a possibility.
For me I agree with stuff you said teen titans probably takes place in an alternate dcau timeline where the justice league froms before b:tas Barry is the flash and robin quits earlier but your right they don’t need to be connected they can be there own thing and that’s fine
Fantastic video! So well made and funny!
And my mind was just blown with that theory that The Batman is connected to Teen Titans! I loved that show and the art styles seem fairly similar. And Legion of Superheroes?!
HOW DID I MISS THIS?!
There’s literally a UA-cam channel for my deepest thought since my childhood wtf
It could take place before BTAS as apparently Gotham tech has always been lacking in the comics or so I’m told
I think we can headcanon that a version of the events of Teen Titans happened in the DCAU, with changes where appropriate. Like Robin being older, Kid Flash being a young Wally and just called Flash, which would make sense with DCAU's Flash being portrayed as basically a teen or barely mature adult, etc.
i'd rather have an unseen Titans group where Tim Drake is the leader like Static Shock implies.
So speaking of timelines...does anyone wanna make the WatchTower Database timeline with me? Because I've watched to many videos to keep this all straight.

Wow..it's a shame that The Batman doesn't get the respect it should, i think it was very good.
Thanks for this video. I still remember reading the debates in the mid-2000s about whether or not Teen Titans was in continuity with the DCAU. I examined the series for myself and was able to determine that it wasn't and that trying to put Teen Titans into the DCAU just doesn't make sense and does more harm than good. Teen Titans is a self contained series and is better off for it.
There was an episode of "Justice League Unlimited" where a team of teen villains adopted by The Joker were voiced by the Teen Titans Team.... Does that count?
Also that Batman cartoon with Dredlock joker redesign, was a canon continuation of Teen Titans Robin. As he was abscent (until Teen Titans got cancelled) and showed up within a year after.
"The Batman" and "Teen Titans" have never been officially stated to be connected, and were not worked on by the same people (other than TT showrunner Glen Murakami being a producer on "The Batman," but again, see: Bruce Timm's quote at the end of this video). Honestly everyone's entire argument for their connection is always "Robin looks the same," when really...no he doesn't. Haha. He looks sort of similar, sure. But it's not the same art style, or the same voice actor, or the same showrunners. He's just...another spiky-lookin' Robin.
As for the Joker thing, you're thinking of the "Justice League" episode "Wild Cards," which featured the Royal Flush Gang. Yes, they were voiced by the "Teen Titans" voice actors, which was essentially just an Easter egg.
What I think so it’s an absolute praise to the shows how they’ve made a fan base that love them so much that they want shows in the same universe because they love them so much it just shows they made timeless shows that age well and will continue too
I always thought teen titans was connected to The Batman
You completely missed Dick saying “I never put on that costume again.” In the episode Old Wounds TNBA so why would he do it right after ditching the outfit?
Good point!
I always thought that the Robin from The Batman was just a younger version of the Robin from Teen Titans
And then there’s some people who think that the Teen Titans show is connected to the 04 The Batman cartoon cause they have similar artstyle
@Watchtower Database, perhaps the technology in Gotham is just years BEHIND that of Jump City, Metropolis, and other places.
Anyone else hoping they will it canon for The Green Lantern Animated series?
Is that show in the same universe as ‘Beware the Batman’?
Hal was probably a backup Lantern like Guy or Jon (in the comics).
Not to mention Fatal Five Killowog looking like GLTAS Killowog, appearances aren't very reliable for making things canon though.
Also Star Sapphire being a thing in both GLTAS and the DCAU.
@@jeffrousseau4033 Well it has the same artstyle but other than that... we have no contradictions to the fact it maybe be in the same universe. It could be like it could be not.
@@ethanmandengue3870 Most of the time it takes place in outer space, very far from Earth. It's still possible but one character is in the way of solidifying the connection: Carol Ferris AKA Star Sapphire. Star Sapphire debuted in the Justice League cartoon as part of Lex's, and later Aresia's, Injustice Gang, and then later as part of Grodd's new Secret Society(or Legion of Doom if you prefer). She was explicitly a villain and and was seemingly not a part of any Star Sapphire Corps(cuz the corps wouldn't exist in the comics until a year after JLU ended but then they can retcon it into the DCAU) but in GLTAS, Carol became Star Sapphire for the first time, meaning that would have to take place years before JL's Secret Origin. Hal Jordan was not yet a Green Lantern at that point, only John Stewart and Kyle Rayner were.
I feel as though it is because if the speedy appearance, also the line Batman had in Static Shock. It would also explain why Robin is only mentioned from Justice League onwards.
Wait something just occurred to me. Teen Titans had to call Deathstroke by his real name due to not wanting to have the word "death" being used in a kid's show, but they had no problem using KILLER Moth nor did they have a problem with visibly showing Terra kill Slade?!
It will not canon. Because flash/kid flash
For the sake of misinformation (though I agree re: everything Donna-related you said), Dwayne never confirmed anything about the Kid Flash costume or Jay helmet. He just tossed out possibilities: "It's not Jay's helmet, it belongs to Hermes. It's from an old Wally Flash costume. It's a trophy from a completely unrelated adventure and has nothing to do with any Flash costume whatsoever, et cetera... The only reason you think it's Jay's is because you know about Jay." Unless there's a different quote I've never seen before.
Do you have a link to a source? I’d love to see this quote.
When I was younger, I always thought that Teen Titans took place in the same continuity as The Batman, especially their versions of Robin always appeared very similar to me. Killer Moth might provide an issue though.
Killer Moth’s mutation probably evolved to the point of where he became a more competent villain👀
He pulled a Killer Croc, simple.
I would like too see a DCAU Titans somewhere down the line.
Like, right now.
Teen titans is truly fantastic! It was just the right superhero cartoon at just the right time for so many fans. It’s a lot of fun, in its own way and I don’t need it to be cannon to the DCAU. It was a lot of fun to see all the twists and turns that came up in this video. I think this is a reference to the bonus scene from Teen Titans Go to the movies, is that right? Amazing job Dude! I can see why so many people enjoy this channel a lot!
It was indeed! I'd highly recommend checking out the rest of the "I've Got Mattie in My Basement" playlist on our channel!
You should make a video ranking the DCAU shows from worst to best
That would be cool
But... all seven...ish of them are amazing.
Teen Titans = The Batman (2004)
Everything is cannon in a multiverse of opportunities
I love the head canon that the entirety of the teen titans show is batmite writing fanfiction
*James.exe has stopped working.*
I've just always thought Teen Titans took place later in The Batman timeline. The art styles are similar and the designs for Robin alike pretty well, along with the staff.
We're gonna do a "Will It Canon?" episode all about that once we hit 200 Patreon supporters!
The way I’m thinking about it is like this at some point they where both the same timeline but then a certain event made them split into two different parts like kid flash being there or Barry Allen either exciting or not, or when robin left. And then any other event could make a jump with tech and everything else. The only thing that could really connect the two universes being the speed force really
i want to point out that these shows go by the through a different lens theory where depending on who is telling the story affects how it looks. think of a 5 year old vs an adult telling a story about a car show or something. both may have completely different stories of it
Love this channel
Say IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK
What about Teen Titans and Beware the Batman? Murakami was a showrunner on both, and Deathstroke has a similar design in both. An older, wiser Slade could've tried to take Robin as an apprentice as revenge on Bruce for taking away his father figure in Alfred. Plus, even less inconsistencies than linking it to The Batman or DCAU.
I've thought about that, too! Never watched "Beware the Batman," though, so I'll have to do some research...
To me, the style of the show reminded me of the one seen in The Batman show. I was convinced they are connected
Teen Titans go mentions the DCAU a lot
I remember in a tie in comic, the Justice League appeared, and the resemble their DCAU counterparts
