Yeah well that's the fun part. You wouldn't lose that. It was going to tie in originally. The different art style and everything was still part of it. All that keeps it from being canon is any actual mention.
I always hated that show. It never felt actual DC to me. They wore uniforms eating pizza, had no secret identity whatsoever and it always felt a bit ridiculous that Robin and Starfire were clearly a couple and they didn't even share a room.

What's confusing about that ? Both were Wally west, so that's why they got Michael Rosenbaum to voice him on TT. TT was in separate Universe considering Dick was Robin on that show.
The kid flash in the flash museum is probably a early costume that the flash wore when him first started or something. Like Batman in the mask of the phantasm when with the costume he has that’s not the one from btas.
If The Gray Ghost was Batman's hero and John was inspired by the Green Gurdsman. Perhaps Wally's first costume was a Halloween costume of The Streak's sidekick: Streak Jr.? Zippy The Teen? Fast Lad? Quick Foot Kid? Lil Hermes? Superfeetsdon'tfailmenow Boy? Oh I got it: The Brave Bolt. Yup "The Streak & The Brave Bold" has a perfect Golden/Silver age vibe.
Call me crazy, I know he's never referenced, but I think the Kid Flash suit implies that Barry Allen was Flash prior to Wally, it's possible that Wally was still Kid Flash. The reasoning is that in Brave and the Bold Flash has a bunch of hallucinations as well, maybe the fear of not being able to live up to his predecessor made him imagine himself in Barry's shoes, since he lives in Barry's shoes every day he's on the team.
In my mind John Wesley Shipp (1s live Action TV Flash from 1991) should voice Barry Allan. I'd have him in a wheelchair much the way John Stewart was in the 90's comics. If they ever did any "Special edition" type meddling, I'd get him to re-voice The Flash we see in STAS. We already know Hal Jordan exists as Green Lantern along some version of an alternate timeline in the DCAU thanks to Once and Future Thing. I'd like to think the "Brave and the Bold" Flash and GL that started the Silver Age revolution are retired in the DCAU due to the effects of some timeline altering Crisis...
I'd just like to point out there were several DCAU tie-in Justice League novels (not comics) a while back. It's been years, but I remember one of them in particular mentioned that Wally was taught by Barry Allen, who held the mantle of Flash before him. The novels are most likely non-canon, but they do still introduce the possibility of Barry in the DCAU.
In Brazil, the voice actor for Flash had a much lower voice register in his appearance in STAS. He was also written totally diferent. So, to me, it was always obvious Barry had hung the cowl by "Secret Origins"
"This team also included Jason Todd's Robin, who we know doesn't exist in the DCAU." Oh the joy of rewatching old episodes and being all "Ha! You thought!" when stuff like this happens because guess who exists now

Because it breaks the brains of us uber-nerdy types who need to try to explain things, even when they clearly aren't supposed to fit into continuity...
They should make a DCAU Titans feature film considering the fact they made Batman and Harley Quinn last year, can someone please make this happen? Please? I want more DCAU content 😭 (And done right of course)
Pro bot, I think it is very worth it. I mean it's what, only $5 to go see the movie. I've also seen a lot of reviews for the movie as well, and some of them say it isn't that bad. There's also a teaser trailer at the post-end credits of the ORIGINAL Teen Titans.
Hopefully with the new streaming service from DC we will get another dcau series of cartoon's or spin offs... That would make the 75$ per year worth it
I always kinda thought it would be neat if Galatea would have had a change of heart after the whole Cadmus arc was completed, especially after Supergirl left for the future in season 2 (and assuming Galatea survived, though being a clone of Supergirl I don't see how electricity could kill her) and maybe became Powergirl and possibly even eventually joined the JLU (after season 2, obviously), but if this hypothetical change of heart did occur, it makes it a possibility that she could have signed on with the Titans as a means of learning how to be a 'real' hero (rather than a soldier/weapon who just follows orders and takes pleasure in the suffering of her enemies). That would also explain her similarities to the character upon which she was based from the comics (i.e. Powergirl) and the fact that a Powergirl representation existed in the not-Hooters scene in the Batman and Harley movie. Of course it's all just speculation as you say though, and in reality it was just a name drop in a single episode which itself was a crossover between shows whose interlaced continuity was questionable at best (especially since Bang Babies are never ever referenced, mentioned or seen ever outside of Static crossover episodes other than Static himself when shown in time travel episodes of JLU). It's a lot like Inhumans in the MCU, actually, especially when the Netflix shows are taken into account. Shield should be everywhere checking out these powered individuals as possible threats/Inhumans, yet 0 crossovers or mentions. The DCAU had the same problem with the whole Bang Baby thing, but at least they had the excuse that the area of effect was limited to basically one city (but still). Either way, it would have been neat to have had a DCAU incarnation of the Titans I think, especially if it was developed by the same creative team behind JL/JLU etc.
I think Cyborg is a strong maybe... If we ever see more of the DCAU they would problaby shove the character somewhere around the universe...And I think the Titans would be the best place to do it.
12:43 Couldnt the yellow flash suit be just wally first costume and he change that later to his regular costume, being a reference to his first apparition in comics???
Batman Nightwing & Harley. had a little cannon movie adapted years after JLU ended why can’t we get one where Tim Drake meets and forms the titans. Even if the titans was a failed experiment. It’d be nice to see the continuity flow nicely. # keepepilogueasecret
Space Taste right? I’d love for it to end as robin is flying through Gotham alone when he famously says “hero time” very grim idea but kind of really exiting.
What if when batman said "you'll meet them someday", he wasn't really talking to Static, but the audience? Since the TT cartoon was still in development, maybe it was meant as a sort of in-joke?
Honestly the Kid Flash costume is easeleye explained. Its what Wally was wearing first, a sort of Proto Flash Suit before he decided on the red suit. Its what makes the most sense in my eyes.
3:26 - It's clearly a reference to how Wally West from Young Justice actually warped into the DCAU during his "death" at the end of YJS2, despite coming many years before YJ was even a thing. This totally isn't my favorite headcanon (of course I have to ignore that scene in Brave and the Bold to do so).
Nowadays the word "Titans" were grayson's group, jason in the outlaws, tim in young justice, damian in teen titans. Where titans academy is headed by grayson
I think wally might work as adult supervision for the titans, like a sidegig for credit with his Justice League work, that and i think he'd like working with the titans
Thank you for this video! You did much better than I expected. You came up with a plausible team of a DCAU compatible Teen Titans, and one that had five members on it. I thought you would only be able to get four members at most due to the DCAU having quite a few major changes when it comes to sidekicks than the comic book continuity. However, I am still not fond of this lineup for a first iteration of the Titans. I have nothing against these characters, but this lineup was made not to do something different and tell a unique story with these characters, but to go through a bunch of continuity gymnastics in order to come up with a sensible version for the DCAU. I know adapted works don't have to be exactly like the source material, but to me, a version of the Titans that doesn't have Dick Grayson as one of its founding members is a deal breaker for me. Neither Jason Todd or Tim Drake have the same relationships like Dick Grayson does with characters like Wally West, Beast Boy, or Starfire. It would be like having a first iteration of the Justice League and not have Superman be a part of it. There are some things you can change about comic characters, but there are some things about characters that you just can't alter. Would you ever except a version of Superman that wasn't an alien, or a version of Bruce Wayne who became Batman without his parents dying? Also, I am not exactly fond of the amalgamation the DCAU made with Tim Drake and Kyle Rayner. The only reasons I was able to live with these changes is because I recognize that you couldn't cram their comic book origins in 22 minutes and need something more digestible since one needs so much context for these characters' origins. Some of it, I don't think the producers of these shows could do even if they wanted to because of censorship or just lack of time for side characters. It also helps that in Kyle Rayner's case, he was largely ignored when Justice League came along in favor of John Stewart who became my favorite Green Lantern.
I can agree with a lot of this. However, I don’t personally feel weird about the idea of a Titans team originating without Dick Grayson. I grew up with the DCAU, so for me, that is who any of its characters are “supposed to be.” Even though I know Kyle Rayner isn’t supposed to get Abin Sur’s ring, or that J’onn J’onzz’ family was supposed to be killed by White Martians, or that Tim Drake is supposed to be the third Robin, or any number of other things, the DCAU saying “this is what it is” has always been a-okay to me. So if it turned out officially that “the Titans existed in 1996 with Dick Grayson, Speedy, Hawk, Dove, Wally West, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, Aqualad, Harley Quinn, Condiment King, and the Spectre,” I guess I’d have to accept that.
But what if due to some weird rip in space and time James and the rest of the watch tower data base crew end up in a universe where the dcau titans exist and the yellow batman beyond suit exists along with other charcaters not shown in our timeline universe thingy.
Well, the New Batman Adventures miniseries by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm is coming out. And Both of them confirmed that they'll introduce the DCAU version of Jason Todd/Red Hood and Deathstroke. So there's that.
I wouldn't discount cyborg. Though the comic is questionable for his appearance, if they were going to round out the team and have more than 4 members before static maybe meets them, he'd be one of the most likely choices. Raven probably too, but you can't prove she exists in any way. As for the kid flash costume, note the size and how it's has about the same proportions as Wally does now. He like stopped wearing it at a later age like Dick did with Robin. With the flashback with him it's entirely possible that he was younger there than he looked (my guess is that they drew him that way so that the younger audience could more easily recognize it was supposed to be him). Either way when it comes to the kid flash suit, it comes across most of the time that your approaching it as "It look like this, so it must be that and nothing else", you could probably be a bit looser with it. You have said yourself that the creators take liberties with the universe a lot of the time, so I don't get why Wally was probably Kid Flash at some time is such a sticking point.
We try to be as fair as possible when assuming anything, basing it only on evidence the DCAU shows/comics/etc. present us with. That’s why it’s so frustrating-there’s really no way to know what age, if any, Wally was when he wore that suit, if it’s even his, or any number of other factors.
That's fair, it's something to bring up if you ever get in contact with some of the people behind Brave and the Bold or Flash and Substance, like Matt Wayne or Dan Riba or the like, if Wally was younger than he looked in the flashback/vision thing he had or if the suit was supposed to be his. It's clear like with Kyle than Wally's a mixture of himself and his predecessor so who knows. I guess my point was leaving open the possibility that Wally was Kid flash at some point wouldn't be so off-base.
XD Great pointless video! Judging from the information you brought up, however, I think the first forming of the Titans was just four people, those being: *Robin* (Tim Drake) *Beast Boy* *Starfire* (and. I have to disagree with you on this one, but) *Cyborg* Eventually, though, I do think people like Static and Supergirl did join at some point, though that's just my speculation. #KeepEpilogueASecet
Maadsy sorry that’s dick not Tim go watch teen titans dick had green on his robin suit and Tim has never had green on his that’s why he is called Red Robin
I get what you’re saying, I just always kinda thought they a reimagined version of the white martians, as the DCAU loved doing it’s own spin on characters and concepts
Baby in this universe the kid flash costume was his proto flash costume, but at some point he felt like it was too yellow or the trickster made fun of it and he made a new one instead. But Bart Allen was inspired by the yellow suit so he wore a modernised version of it
I love coming back to old WDB videos and hearing them talk about how white martians/Miss Martian aren't in the DCAU because it feels like opening a hilarious and frustrating time capsule
Speedy was probably among the titans, too. As he's clearly parted ways with Ollie and is just the right age to join the JLU just by the time of Patriot Act
I think it was implied that DCAU was connected, just very loosely, yeah Dick LOOKS holder in DCAU but discounting that it all fits pretty well, you can just chalk it up to artstyle making him look younger in titans
My theory is the original Titans was just a club of sidekicks and teen superheroes to just hang out and since Dick and Wally are huge dorks they gave it the name "Teen Titans". Dick told Tim about this later and Tim made an actual team
It would feel more natrual to me if titans was a designation given to superheros on a waiting list to enter the justice league proper, sort of like a national guard unit, they'll have there duties, but unless things are really bad they are given safer assignments while being free of the more critical aspects of the league proper
I'm only 2 minutes in so you may mention some of this, but I love the idea of the titans existing in the DCAU, and one of the biggest reasons is that 1. I love Wally in the DCAU, so that version having been Kid Flash (one of my favorite DC characters) in a titans team, is a dream and 2. This means that Dick has met Starfire, another major love interest, which makes me feel better after knowing that Batman and Barbara happen, I feel so hard for Dick, knowing he has a sexy space goddess possibly available as his endgame love interest puts me at ease a bit If they did a DCAU Titans. I would have it be Dick, Wally, and Roy, then, see if you could fit in a Donna Troy, maybe make her connection to Wonder Woman a bit less integral, and with Aqualad, Garth isn't even from Atlantis I don't think? You could just have him start out as Tempest, or have him know of Aquaman and take up the Aqualad name but he doesn't have as close a relationship with Aquaman except for points where it makes sense in the timeline So have that original team, Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Aqualad/Tempest, just for a couple episodes, have them meet Cyborg and Starfire during the arc, then have a time jump where we see all of those characters a bit more grown up, and then in this new arc introduce the new Tim Drake Robin, Beast Boy, Raven, Connor Kent Superboy, maybe do a Judas Contract arc with Nightwing, Starfire and Cyborg leading the team, with Roy being Red Arrow off doing heroin or something, Donna probably died in the last arc or in between timeframes, Wally is on the Justice League, Garth is off being a good or an evil wizard, etc. And then even later on we get an arc bringing in Bart Allen, Damian Wayne, Jonathan Kent Superboy, and Cassie Sandsmark Wonder Girl We'd be able to have a silver age Teen Titans, New Teen Titans, and Young Justice all in the DCAU haha
Poor Donna, she just can't get any Animated Titans love whether it's DCAU or non DCAU. By the way, I absolutely love the DCAU Supergirl, such a great character.
We know that Two-Face exists, so Joker's Daughter (who is, confusingly, actually Two-Face's daughter) could also be a viable member. And while we've never seen anything to make us think Mal Duncan exists, we also don't see anything to confirm he _doesn't._
+Will N I'm not sure I accept that as canon. I was referring to the pre-Crisis Duela Dent (the post-Crisis Duela Dent is a mess), and we never get confirmation of Nightwing's deduction except the completely unreliable agreement by Duela herself, who never provides any additional information.
+christian crusader Yes and no. George Lucas can claim Greedo shot first all he likes, but we all know the _real_ canon. At a certain point characters become archetypal and take on their own identity apart from their creators, which is why no matter how many times they try to reinvent Superman, he keeps stubbornly reverting to his true identity. But all of that aside, in this case they didn't actually establish Duela's identity. They just had Dick deduce she couldn't be whom she claimed to be, and Duela agreeing. But Dick could be wrong and Duela was established to be a _highly_ unreliable source, so we never actually know for sure. I think in this case the uncertainty was by design, which is why I think _uncertainty_ is canon and we _can't_ know for sure because we're not supposed to.
Nah, Robin would've made it in if they went with this version, but Cartoon Network greenlit the series without ever having to see any samples, so they did away with the kid sidekicks. Check out our upscale of the promo from a couple years ago!
I kind of just assume it's the same group of people as the Teen Titans show. Not that the show is canon, but that it's a sort of mirror go what would have happened or existed in the DCAU.
I forgot Speedy was in the DCAU. Based off References and Existing Characters, The team would likely be Kid Flash, Robin, Speedy, Beast Boy, And Starfire. Cyborg and Raven are speculation due to Them being Nee TT. Hawk and Dove are likely to be in the Team since they have been, as well as Bumblebee.
My fan origin on the DCAU Teen Titans About 6-7 years before to the events of the flashback in Return of the Joker, Batman has a mission with the Justice League in deep space. With Barbara out of town and Nightwing not about, Batman leaves Robin in charge of Gotham. Robin has been asking Batman why he can't join the League, Batman evades the question and says he might be in deep space for at least a week,a month the most.Batman then unexpectedly gives Robin his regards and leaves. While Robin is out patrolling,he hears a loud explosion from a nearby bank.He swings into action and takes out the thugs. Meanwhile,he hears on the police scanner strange activity from Wayne Aerospace,he heads off to investigate. He discovers Braniac drones stealing technology,he tries engaging them, but is easily incapacitated. As he's about to be blasted by one of the drones, they're electrocuted and Static appears out of the shadows. He helps up Robin and Robin wonders why he's in Gotham.Static says he chased Ebon to Gotham and he saw the fireworks. While fighting off the remaining Braniac drones, Static is incapacitated by a psychic flash. Robin comes to his side while the Braniac drones get away with the technology. Static says it was like someone was trying to contact him Static flies off and Robin follows in the Batwing. They land outside a government facility.Robin tries to convince the guards to let them in,but they reveal themselves to be imperium soldiers and start firing at them. The duo defeats them easily. They enter and see a white monster looking thing.Static says this is what contacted him.Robin says he doesn't trust that thing.Static releases it and it morphs into who we know as Miss Martian. She states that she contacted them, and said she wanted to warn that Braniac and the surviving imperiums were working together. They make their way out of the facility and Miss Martian telepathically contacts other heroes nearby. They are soon joined by Supergirl, Impulse and the female Cyborg we see from the pilot which is presumably Natasha Irons. After familiarizing with each other. The team plans their move to infiltrate Braniacs ship.Robin tracks Braniac's ship hidden outside Metropolis.Robin tells them just like they planned. Supergirl, Static and Miss Martian create a distraction to draw Braniac's fire while Cyborg, Robin and Impulse infiltrate the ship They are met by imperium soldiers and a battle ensues, after taking out the imperium soldiers, they are greeted by Braniac who reveals his plan to collect Earth's data then destroy it.Robin says they won't allow it and a fight ensues between the heroes and Braniac's drones and more imperium soldiers.Outside the ship, the sun starts rising, realizing this,Robin says they need to get sunlight in the ship,he contacts Static, Supergirl and Miss Martian who start making the weapons fire at the ship's hull. The sunlight seeps through and dries up the imperium soldiers . Braniac says there's no escape.Robin and the others "retreat". Braniac thinking he's won gets ready to proceed with his plans, but his ship starts exploding and falling apart,it then falls out of the sky and crashes into the water below where it explodes . Watching from afar,Robin reveals to the team he planted explosives around the ship's weak points. At that moment, the Justice League return sooner than expected. Batman demands an explanation.Robin explains what happened and says this is a way the sidekicks can prove themselves worthy members of the Justice League.Unexpectedly, Batman agrees with the idea and says they'll need a base.He gives them a base established in Jump City. While looking over at the view of the city.Impulse wonders what they should call themselves.Static says they're Teens.Supergirl then says how about Teen Titans. They all put their hands together in a ring and Robin proudly says The Teen Titans If anything is contradictory or otherwise, feel free to correct me
I thought it was tied into that 2004 batman show “the Batman” like if you see the animation style and the way Robin is young and looks exactly like Teen Titans Robin it will look like it’s in the same universe
Here’s my theory about the KID FLASH costume: It was a prototype suit flash was originally going to wear before coming up with the red suit we all know and love. Admittedly a little bit of a week theory but I think it would explain away that suit.

I think so too, if only for the similar Robin costumes. Fun fact, The Batman didn't introduce Robin until season 5 because he shared the same costume as Teen Titans Robin
We may not have to much in the DCAU that Raven can connect too, but new elements can always be added. Hey, with the lack of a connection Raven has to the elements, that could just make it all the easier for her to appear without causing any continuity problems. Plus with how much Raven is connected to the team itself, chances are if this Revival of the DCAU goes into showing the Teen Titans, there is almost no doubt in my mind that Raven would be included (the 2003 show definitely helped her get the popularity points needed as well).
This is the only video on UA-cam I could find that showed that clip from Static Shock and you have no idea how grateful I am to finally see it, nobody believed me and even I started to think I had made it up.
I believe that there has been a Teen Titans version in the DCAU, and when in Batman Beyond, Commissioner B. Gordon says “Tim tried once or twice, but you know Bruce...,” she meant that after Bruce had fired him, because of the tragic events in BBROTJ, Tim tried fighting crime with the Teen Titans. And furthermore, it seems that wow visiting Static Shock, he was already in the team, he was a bit older and a bit more resentful toward Bruce, saying that he had the intellect of Nobel laureates and manners of crocodiles.
With updated info, I'm gonna guess the Titans were Tim/Robin Supergirl Wally Starfire Static Miss Martian Stephanie/Spoiler Cyborg (the comics seem to have a lot of similarities) And I'm going to go out on a limb and say one of the things I've had as a headcanon is that Barry Allen existed but was erased from existence after the JLU's version of CoIE... which would be awesome to know the whole of JLU is a post-CoIE universe and both the people in the universe, and the viewers, have no idea of the vast universe that existed before Barry sacrificed himself.
I vote Robin (Tim Drake), Superboy (Conner Kent), Impulse (Bart Allen), and Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark) automatically because those four are always connected. And let's add Cyborgirl as well.
Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire, and Speedy would make sense as a starting team with Supergirl being a part timer just because she couldn’t be in the League, later Static and his buddy in the green(sorry I’m forgetting his name as I’m typing this comment don’t kill me) probably joined and a solid 6 person team is good, taking care of smaller and maybe some over looked threats by the League, again it’s a shame we never saw them officially, but then this fun fan speculation would never happen! I think the real question is how they would’ve reacted to what happened to Robin a few years later
Well, there was s movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans, with Starfire as instructor, Terra, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin (Damian Wayne) and I think Beast Boy.
Impulse was a member of the teen titans, in 2003 for a few issues before he became kid flash so maybe he could’ve been a member of the dcau titans because of his ties to the team
Fun Fact: In the DC Animated Movie Universe, the Teen Titans were around long before the Justice League formed in Justice League: War film (most likely due to the creators not doing a 5 Year time skip like the New 52 did).
Late to the party, but maybe the Speedy we see in JLU could have been on Tim's team? We never hear his age and his one liner about being Green Arrow's "ex-partner" makes it sound like maybe their break-up was recent? Maybe he was the same age as Starfire and could have served a slightly older leadership role on the team, rather than being a contemporary of Dick Grayson.

In my mind John Wesley Shipp (1s live Action TV Flash from 1991) should voice
Barry Allan.
"This team also included Jason Todd's Robin, who we know doesn't exist in the DCAU."
Oh the joy of rewatching old episodes and being all "Ha! You thought!" when stuff like this happens because guess who exists now
We see Gordanians, starfire exist.
We see Starfire waitress costume; we KNOW she's out there!
I want to believe... in this particular alien.
he literally says both of these things in the video please for the love of god watch the full video before commenting i don't understand why people find that so hard
And...? We never said that he didn't. We're responding, affirming what we saw.
It sounds more as if you should finish reading a comment before you reply.

Not necessarily
A message to WB Animation;
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP PUTTING RANDOM COSTUMES AS EASTER EGGS IN THE BACKGROUND! ANIMATION ERROR OR NOT.
It could almost be an episode of Watchtower Database at this point.
Why?
Because it breaks the brains of us uber-nerdy types who need to try to explain things, even when they clearly aren't supposed to fit into continuity...
@@SpencerN.C. Another message for WB Animation: Keep doing it- it makes us uber fans feel loved. It's fun. :)
They should make a DCAU Titans feature film considering the fact they made Batman and Harley Quinn last year, can someone please make this happen? Please? I want more DCAU content 😭
(And done right of course)
I heard they might do one if they get A LOT of money from the Teen Titans Go! Movie.
Damien Moloson it's not worth it.
BatBrickFlicks
Pro bot, I think it is very worth it. I mean it's what, only $5 to go see the movie. I've also seen a lot of reviews for the movie as well, and some of them say it isn't that bad. There's also a teaser trailer at the post-end credits of the ORIGINAL Teen Titans.
Damien Moloson the new 52 teen Titans movies are good enough
This topic has bothered me since I heard that line over 10 years ago... Thanks watchtower
And now you get to remember it all over again!
Hopefully with the new streaming service from DC we will get another dcau series of cartoon's or spin offs... That would make the 75$ per year worth it
Zerowing 321 same! That line still keeps me up at night till this very day
Michael Rosenbaum said at a panel that he wants a Smallville animated series hopefully that could come on the streaming service
Same
I always kinda thought it would be neat if Galatea would have had a change of heart after the whole Cadmus arc was completed, especially after Supergirl left for the future in season 2 (and assuming Galatea survived, though being a clone of Supergirl I don't see how electricity could kill her) and maybe became Powergirl and possibly even eventually joined the JLU (after season 2, obviously), but if this hypothetical change of heart did occur, it makes it a possibility that she could have signed on with the Titans as a means of learning how to be a 'real' hero (rather than a soldier/weapon who just follows orders and takes pleasure in the suffering of her enemies).
“Superhero hooters.” Best line ever.
I think Cyborg is a strong maybe...
If we ever see more of the DCAU they would problaby shove the character somewhere around the universe...And I think the Titans would be the best place to do it.
2:55 "Aw yeah..." - Batman from New York
I honestly assume the Kid Flash suit is just Wally's proto suit.
Matthew Heuel that'd be sick!!
Space Taste right? I’d love for it to end as robin is flying through Gotham alone when he famously says “hero time” very grim idea but kind of really exiting.
You're telling me that thing was canon? but.. eeew.. just eew, right? wasn't it?

After "Justice League VS The Fatal Five" this line gets ironic
Yarp
That 'tell me why not' at the end made me laugh more than it should.
What if when batman said "you'll meet them someday", he wasn't really talking to Static, but the audience? Since the TT cartoon was still in development, maybe it was meant as a sort of in-joke?
“Ms. Martian isn’t in the dcau.”
- James Strecker
WELL SHE WASNT THEN
Hi I'm back. I think Spider-Man and Danny Phantom are my favorite because they are teenage Superheroes that don't have mentor to teach them .
Honestly the Kid Flash costume is easeleye explained. Its what Wally was wearing first, a sort of Proto Flash Suit before he decided on the red suit. Its what makes the most sense in my eyes.
Check out our new Barry Allen video!
Wally West was on both Teen Titans & Justice League and it’s never stated they’re the same incarnation
Correct.
True. It's just assumed because of the supposed flashback from The Brave and The Bold
I think you’ll really enjoy our next video!
I would love this version of the team not saying the ones we got aren’t great but I would like to see how they reacted to one another
Nowadays the word "Titans" were grayson's group, jason in the outlaws, tim in young justice, damian in teen titans. Where titans academy is headed by grayson
James: Miss Martian doesn't exist in the DCAU
Bruce Timm, Eric Carrasco, etc. : Are you sure about that?
TELL ME ABOUT IT
3:28 Hahaha!
"... amorphous nonsense akin to the yellow batsuit of shame."
@@dcauwatchtower condiment king not being apart of JLU and being sad he always is left out along side booster gold is a huge missed opportunity
0:04 well he kept the promise
But what if due to some weird rip in space and time James and the rest of the watch tower data base crew end up in a universe where the dcau titans exist and the yellow batman beyond suit exists along with other charcaters not shown in our timeline universe thingy.
12:33 All-Star is in my top 10 favorite superheroes, despite having a 1 issue appearance
Definitely something to bring up...
XD Great pointless video!
Judging from the information you brought up, however, I think the first forming of the Titans was just four people, those being:
*Robin* (Tim Drake)
*Beast Boy*
*Starfire*
(and. I have to disagree with you on this one, but) *Cyborg*
Eventually, though, I do think people like Static and Supergirl did join at some point, though that's just my speculation.
#KeepEpilogueASecet
Maadsy sorry that’s dick not Tim go watch teen titans dick had green on his robin suit and Tim has never had green on his that’s why he is called Red Robin
I'm just seeing your reply now, Matthew. Like Will pointed out, I mean the DCAU Titans.
In Teen Titans, yeah, I know that Dick Grayson is Robin.
“The white martians don’t exist in this universe”
isn’t the white martian invasion the entire reason the league formed in the first place?
Those weren’t technically the White Martians. They were an unknown alien race led by the Imperium.
I get what you’re saying, I just always kinda thought they a reimagined version of the white martians, as the DCAU loved doing it’s own spin on characters and concepts
Oh sure! They definitely are. Which I suppose means we COULD say Miss Martian might exist, as one of those aliens. But we may never know...
Yeah lol. It’s kinda like the Raven and Cyborg thing, they might exist, but there’s no real canonical evidence
Yes thanks I have been waiting so long thanks alot
Baby in this universe the kid flash costume was his proto flash costume, but at some point he felt like it was too yellow or the trickster made fun of it and he made a new one instead. But Bart Allen was inspired by the yellow suit so he wore a modernised version of it
I love coming back to old WDB videos and hearing them talk about how white martians/Miss Martian aren't in the DCAU because it feels like opening a hilarious and frustrating time capsule
So, uh... Ms. Martian doesn’t exist, huh?
- We made this video last July
- We don’t know yet if the new movie is canon
- Shush
Can’t wait for the future Will it Canon?!
Speedy was probably among the titans, too. As he's clearly parted ways with Ollie and is just the right age to join the JLU just by the time of Patriot Act
Yes, but I'd wager he would be too old to be on a team with Tim Drake's Robin and co. He's more likely Dick Grayson or Wally West's age range.
Ms. Martian statement retracted
Yep! Check out our whole video about her DCAU origin!
@@dcauwatchtower already seen it 😎 (i have been binging your videos lol)
I think the titans in the dcau consist of:
Robin(Tim Drake)
Superboy(Conner Kent)
Impulse/Kid Flash(Bart Allen)
Wondergirl(Cassie Sandsmark)
Starfire
Cyborg
Beastboy
Raven
Aqualad(Jackson Hyde)
HOLY MOLEY THE YELLOW BAT SUIT OF SHAME. HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT
I think it was implied that DCAU was connected, just very loosely, yeah Dick LOOKS holder in DCAU but discounting that it all fits pretty well, you can just chalk it up to artstyle making him look younger in titans
Implied when/where/how (no) 😅
My theory is the original Titans was just a club of sidekicks and teen superheroes to just hang out and since Dick and Wally are huge dorks they gave it the name "Teen Titans".
This means that Dick has met Starfire, another major love interest, which makes me feel better after knowing that Batman and Barbara happen, I feel so hard for Dick, knowing he has a sexy space goddess possibly available as his endgame love interest puts me at ease a bit
If they did a DCAU Titans. I would have it be Dick, Wally, and Roy, then, see if you could fit in a Donna Troy, maybe make her connection to Wonder Woman a bit less integral, and with Aqualad, Garth isn't even from Atlantis I don't think? You could just have him start out as Tempest, or have him know of Aquaman and take up the Aqualad name but he doesn't have as close a relationship with Aquaman except for points where it makes sense in the timeline
So have that original team, Robin, Speedy, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, and Aqualad/Tempest, just for a couple episodes, have them meet Cyborg and Starfire during the arc, then have a time jump where we see all of those characters a bit more grown up, and then in this new arc introduce the new Tim Drake Robin, Beast Boy, Raven, Connor Kent Superboy, maybe do a Judas Contract arc with Nightwing, Starfire and Cyborg leading the team, with Roy being Red Arrow off doing heroin or something, Donna probably died in the last arc or in between timeframes, Wally is on the Justice League, Garth is off being a good or an evil wizard, etc. And then even later on we get an arc bringing in Bart Allen, Damian Wayne, Jonathan Kent Superboy, and Cassie Sandsmark Wonder Girl
We'd be able to have a silver age Teen Titans, New Teen Titans, and Young Justice all in the DCAU haha
8:42 whenever cartoon characters do that I just say it’s a lazy eye
Idk why but this has become a comfort video for me
Poor Donna, she just can't get any Animated Titans love whether it's DCAU or non DCAU.
By the way, I absolutely love the DCAU Supergirl, such a great character.
That "Of course!" at 11:35 was from when Donkey asked Shrek if he could stay with him
“Really?” “No.”
We know that Two-Face exists, so Joker's Daughter (who is, confusingly, actually Two-Face's daughter) could also be a viable member. And while we've never seen anything to make us think Mal Duncan exists, we also don't see anything to confirm he _doesn't._
NoJusticeNoPeace And twoface had a girlfriend before he was deformed.
NoJusticeNoPeace isn't it the creators who decide what's canon?
NoJusticeNoPeace that makes sense. So joker's daughter is just like the joker in that she has multiple possible backstories.
I wonder if they cut that version of Robin 0:40 because of what happened in the Return of the Joker. That design is 🔥
Nah, Robin would've made it in if they went with this version, but Cartoon Network greenlit the series without ever having to see any samples, so they did away with the kid sidekicks. Check out our upscale of the promo from a couple years ago!
2:49 dcamu did it too
I kind of just assume it's the same group of people as the Teen Titans show. Not that the show is canon, but that it's a sort of mirror go what would have happened or existed in the DCAU.
4:05 ha which origin she has five!
Yes
I forgot Speedy was in the DCAU. Based off References and Existing Characters, The team would likely be Kid Flash, Robin, Speedy, Beast Boy, And Starfire. Cyborg and Raven are speculation due to Them being Nee TT. Hawk and Dove are likely to be in the Team since they have been, as well as Bumblebee.
I’d love to see static in the art style of the old teen titans animated series
My fan origin on the DCAU Teen Titans
About 6-7 years before to the events of the flashback in Return of the Joker, Batman has a mission with the Justice League in deep space. They all put their hands together in a ring and Robin proudly says The Teen Titans
If anything is contradictory or otherwise, feel free to correct me
This origin could work
So many theories. . . .I can't keep up 😖
I thought it was tied into that 2004 batman show “the Batman” like if you see the animation style and the way Robin is young and looks exactly like Teen Titans Robin it will look like it’s in the same universe
Quality content buddy!
Great video. That possible line-up of heroes you made is my canon Titans. xD
“Miss Martian doesn’t exist” WELL WHOSE THE IDIOT NOW no lol jk but it’s funny how that worked
Here’s my theory about the KID FLASH costume:
It was a prototype suit flash was originally going to wear before coming up with the red suit we all know and love. Admittedly a little bit of a week theory but I think it would explain away that suit.
Hahahaha, the no miss Martian comment didn't age well. #JLAvsfatalfive
Fantastic video. You gave great explanations and your coverage and knowledge of the comics and cannon is second to none!
YEET THE TEENS
Okay so mini rant:
This was my first time ever watching one of your videos and i absolutely loved it! I loced how informative and factual it is despite it being essentially a theory video and i loved your delivery.
And as a writer myself, i have dived into the world of fanfiction more times than i can count and i have had this exact same thought going through my head since i was about 13 like i never understood why Static never met the Titans on screen but did in comics at least i didnt until i watched your video! Keep up the good work liked and subbed!!
Jerel McPhearson Thank you!
Where was the clip of Impulse and robin from
The unaired pilot for “Justice League.” It can be found as a special feature on the season 2 box set, I believe.
It's fun watching this years later and seeing characters like Jason Todd and Ms. Martian who "Don't" exist in the DCAU. Until maybe they do now.

I think the original teen titans is connected to “the Batman” cartoon
I'm sure not seeing Teen To Go to the Movies. I'm not supporting that
The only way I'll watch Teen Titans Go To The Movies is when they re title it Teen Titans Go To The Movies At Home when it comes out on DVD.
Seeing it supports the original show. Seeing it could make it possible for a season 6.
i need the OG TITANS BACK
Trust me I do too. Those guys are my childhood. My opinions of the movie have changed, but whether or not I'm gonna see it is up for debate
The movie was actually really good. Saw it with my daughter.
Where’s that line from?
Last
You'd think there'd be an interest in making a Teen Titans DCAU comic.
4:16 this would be such a cool team!
With updated info, I'm gonna guess the Titans were
Tim/Robin
Supergirl
Wally
Starfire
Static
Miss Martian
Stephanie/Spoiler
Cyborg (the comics seem to have a lot of similarities)
And I'm going to go out on a limb and say one of the things I've had as a headcanon is that Barry Allen existed but was erased from existence after the JLU's version of CoIE... which would be awesome to know the whole of JLU is a post-CoIE universe and both the people in the universe, and the viewers, have no idea of the vast universe that existed before Barry sacrificed himself.
I vote Robin (Tim Drake), Superboy (Conner Kent), Impulse (Bart Allen), and Wonder Girl (Cassandra Sandsmark) automatically because those four are always connected. And let's add Cyborgirl as well.
Glad I found this channel. I love it!
I think Raven is a possibility, as well as Impulse, Cyborg, Aqualad, and Captain Marvel Jr.
Yep, not part of this universe though.
Good point! Always seems weird to me to have them form first, though. - James
Watching this video after the DCAU Fatal Five movie is a thing. Miss Martian is a major character in the movie.
True, but we don't know anything about her yet. Looking forward to the movie!

10:18 famous last words? He's in JL Infinity so it counts right
Late to the party, but maybe the Speedy we see in JLU could have been on Tim's team? We never hear his age and his one liner about being Green Arrow's "ex-partner" makes it sound like maybe their break-up was recent? Maybe he was the same age as Starfire and could have served a slightly older leadership role on the team, rather than being a contemporary of Dick Grayson.
i did see it was goofy fun and action packed
The Kid Flash suit was likely some sort of prototype costume Wally used for like a month or two before upgrading to his modern suit.
"Miss Martian doesn't exist in DCAU" has surely aged poorly :P
Check out our DCAU Miss Martian Origin video if you haven't!
@@dcauwatchtower Yeah, I watched it before this!
