Would love to see a clear video of changing the two air filters on these things. Not looking forward to it, but I know it needs to be done, :)

Just bought a 2009 that sat a few years and needed carbs cleaned. That is quite a process on these things since there is absolutely no room to do anything. But as far as air filters go they aren't to terrible to change, you can get to the screws on the rear air box if you pull seat and move some wires and air boot. Front filter you have to pull tank, remove air boot and you can get to it decently. Take pics so you can see how all the wiring is routed.

Thank you and yes, I did it on the kickstand based off of your statement. Thanks again, I appreciate you sharing your work and making it look easy!

Another suggestion if you don't have a lift is to roll the back wheel onto a 2x6 to give a little more ground clearance, then also put a 2x6 (or even a 2x4) under the kickstand, just so it's sits more level and gives a more accurate reading in the sight glass.

Yeah that was all clutch. Long story short I was just going to change the oil and service it. I ended up changing the oil 3 times, changed the slave cylinder and the clutch. That oil was pretty nasty.

@@pilgrimsgarage Yeah and that window for oil is a pain in the ass to check without a stand. Mine was dirty and given the position I missed time oil was too low. Good thing I checked twice but forced my girl to sit on it so I could check lol xD

@@EnhancedNightmare that’s a good idea though… have her hold it up. One thing, when you go to change the battery, be sure to buy a good one… they’re a pain to change

I noticed that on my bike that the oil was dirty right after. Thats caused by the clutch?@pilgrimsgarage
