I've been using various Aliexpress (mostly Spexcel and YKYW) bibs on my bike commute and they have held up surprisingly well. I also prefer my Asos bibs but for a quick 30 minute spin to work in the rain, they work perfectly fine. Bibs get massive abuse in the winter from the rain, sand, grit and dirt with road riding alone that it is worth having a few pairs of beater bibs lying around. This is my 3rd winter on them and one of them is starting to pill and get thin.
I’ve been trying ykyw since November for indoor rides. They’re initially nice and comfortable, but the chamois seems like it is not good for rides longer than 30 minutes. I think I’d rather get a more expensive bib for longer rides.
Been using Spexcel and YKYW for years. I find, the Spexcel are good for 1hr max. The YKYW with an 8 hr pad are good. Done 6hr rides on them without discomfort.
The ykyw are fairly comfortable for my anatomy for even multi hour rides. Their real benefit is that I can buy a bunch and have a whole week of bibs for winter indoor rides. No need to do daily laundry is such a boon. @@JimUe1
I recommend the Lameda bibs. They’re sold on Aliexpress but have a presence here in Asia. I rode them for a 150 mile ride for 6 hours and I had no issues. Plus the build quality is also fantastic.
I third...I dont have any "premium" bibs, but these feel glorious. LAMEDA Summer Cycling Bib Shorts, as a search, should bring up some for £38. They feel so smooth to the touch.
@ I’m so glad that someone else enjoys them. I payed 78,000 Korean won for them here, 43 pounds, and I’ve never had an issue. It made saddle sores reduce significantly. I really just want everyone to hear about them. Also their winter bibs disconnect like many women’s bibs do, so endurance rides are much nicer when nature calls.

That's good to know. I obviously haven't tested the longevity but it seems like you have!

Maybe that will be the next pair I test
I second the Lameda bibs, they are the best option on ali express.

@piercemorrison1202 I also got the Lameda Bicycles Bike Long Sleeve Jersey Sets Men Cycling Sets, in Blue. £66 here. Absolutely lovely.
Happy to hear spexcel bibs have improved, found mixed results over the years. Their jerseys are awesome though!
Jerseys have always been good. I had a pair maybe 5 years ago and they weren't great, but these are a big step up.
Santic bibs also good i think and it's not expensive😊
ykyw bibs, 15 hrs ride no problem.
Any of these have the old fashion shorter inseams?
Not that I know of
Where did you get your Assos Mille bibs in Vancouver? Have you ever owned 7mesh bibs and if so, how do they compare?
Bici carries assos, but I got mine a long time ago before moving to Vancouver. Never tried 7 mesh.
Try a bib with the Paris HP/Italy Pad (it’s blue). Rion and YKYW bike habe them
I'll put that on the list!
YKYW bibs for me.
Seems like there's a lot of love for ykyw in the comments
