    I thought the concrete pillows were going to be flowers. I think they would be cute garden stones painted as such.

    The cup dipping is really lovely. But I have to say that the "saucers" made of plaster are absurd! Trying to hold a clunky paper weight while drinking tea is nonsensical!

    • @KMF3
      @KMF3 Рік тому +10

      I don't think they're meant to be saucers I think they're meant to be more like coasters.

      @@KMF3 there's a shot of a woman holding the clumsy "coaster" in front of her like a saucer. Still a lot of trouble, & certainly NOT aesthetically pleasing, for a coaster!

      Yeah, I'm kinda confused as to how the pillow coaster is the slightest bit of practical 🤷‍♀️
      I guess each to their own, but I'm not rushing out to buy plaster to make a pillow coaster.

      @@l.medina6251 In my personal opinion, the end of the video speaks volumes when she's trying to balance the large clunky pillow coaster. It looks a tad bit heavy and cumbersome, but it might make one helluva great paperweight for holiday diy gifts 🤣🤷‍♀️

    I used that same technique to decorate Christmas ornaments. You can either use the clear glass or plastic ones, or colored ones you may already have. They make beautiful gifts, because you can customize them to your best friend's favorite colors. Try It You'll love it. Blessings to all from Central florida.

      That is a wonderful idea! I do that to clear glass whole Christmas & also hinged spheres. My friend's child loved penquins so I put thick glue on the top outside of the Christmas sphere, staggered to look like natural icicles & when glue was well set & tacky just sprinkled crushed crystal pieces & shook off excess - really looked like icicles. I don't use glitter anymore as it gets breathed into the body among some other bad qualities. I put some "cotton snow" inside with little origami penquins on an origami sleigh. I've made them for animal lovers, using whole & hinged spheres, & I have an Ocean Mammals tree year round. It reminds me to work to protect our Oceans & it's Residents every single day. For my friend who was mourning her beloved dog I used a hinged sphere & found a perfect small Dachshund statue with almost the same markings so I just painted them on to match. She actually thought I had someone make the statue from his picture. I used a marker & cursive writing for his name & dates & a flat Best Friend trophy I made from a Godiva Chocolate wrapper and glued on the outside. Goodfellow got into a Godiva box & had to have his tummy pumped when he was just two years. It reminded my friend how blessed she was to have Goodfellow live on to 14 years. It is so much fun coming up with ideas that make people feel better & be happy. One of my favorites was making a small living Christmas tree for my neighbor's daughter bound to college & dorm life. We filled the spheres with favorite memories of family, friends & school events, trips & fun & used her favorite colors to decorate the hinged spheres. We put in a small Church in one & a Bible in another sphere to gently remind her to stay true to herself & her faith. Also pics of every pet she had cared for with love - even a one-legged crow that could hop on his one leg. Astounding! Homemade gifts made with care are the best way to enjoy Christmas as it was meant.

      @@lindabell125 When my husband died I sold our home to downsize to a small home in another state. I foolishly left most of my "storage" items behind until I settled. Everything I left to be sent forward when I settled on a home was stolen. The worse included was my photo albums of my childhood, my wedding, my husband and my beautiful children. Also my paintings and sentimental family items. I wasn't sure of the move so I wanted to check it out before committing. So I traveled lightly half expecting not to make the move.
      I stopped making crafts many years ago as I have health challenges and holiday's have become just another day. I will write to those who may have pictures. Perhaps I will be able to make a few again. It is very simple just requiring a steady hand, patience and imagination. Long, thin surgical tweezers are needed. Amazon has stainless steel for under $15. I'm sure you would enjoy making and giving them as gifts, making them as completely your own special talent and imagination.

    You can't recycle zip loc bags. Especially not used, dirty ones. Also please don't try throwing trash in a recycling system out of wishful thinking. When a load of recyclables is too contaminated, it's not worth the time to sort it out, and most facilities will just dump it instead. By recycling only what is clean and easy and approved to recycle, you actually have a better chance of keeping stuff out of the landfill.

      I think they said if you use a dishwasher sealant you can. I’m guessing the dessert bowls/cups would be ok but I’m not up on the do’s and don’ts of the materials used. I would do a bit of research before I got into using the stuff.

    I'm sorry but I can't think of one practical reason I would do anything of these projects! And the one where you mix epoxy glue with paint to put on the rim of a cup or bowl is really baffling! Epoxy glue is toxic, but you're planning on putting it in your mouth. It probably can't go in the dishwasher like that and last. And worst of all, you have to sit there and babysit it to control the drip!! You LITERALLY have to sit there and WATCH PAINT DRY!!! Forget it!!!!
