You say to tape it to bond paper. Is bond paper heavy printer paper or normal printer paper? Also, what happens to the tissue as the candle melts? Are they still functional?I’m really excited to try this!! Thanks!!!🎉

When my 25year old was in elementary school, I printed his teachers name, along with 10-15 words that he chose to describe her, in different fonts & different colors scattered around her name in the center. I then melted it into the candle with my heat gun. They turned out so nicely and all of the teachers loved them!!

How does the tissue handle the heat when you light the candle? Does it burn at same rate of candle,or does paper flame up and burn faster? Or four you just use these as decorative candles?

Yeah, the melting candle is a concern for me with the tissue paper. I’m just going to buy readily decorated candles or just use plain ones to be safe. Cute craft idea though

Rita, I have been very lucky with finding some really WELL made a super detailed moulds on eBay of all places! Just be patient as things do come from China for the most part and definitely use a PayPal account so you are protected and never giving up your Credit Card number to anyone. Paypal will also protect you if your package doesn’t arrive so that is the BEST advice I have for you that was shared with me a long time ago!
Now, whenever I see something “crafty” like these moulds or even gold or silver (and copper foil) I always look on eBay FIRST and then I go the regular route of searching…Amazon, Michaels or Lowe’s etc depending on what it is and how fast I need it.
Insofar as Moulds that can be used for wax, Epoxy/resin, Plaster etc, I definitely look on EBay first and try to buy everything from the same buyer as most of them do combined shipping or their shipping is free regardless. Just remember that the average time for something about the size of a Manila Envelope, takes about 3-5 weeks to the US and about 6-8 weeks to Canada. To give you an idea on pricing and quality, I found a Latex mould I wanted badly of a Draonfly and it is gorgeous and very very detailed! I actually found it by accident on Amazon and it is about 4”x5” and 3/4” thick. On Amazon it was $14 and on eBay it was $4.23 (free Shipping). I wasn’t in a hurry by any means so EBay it was! Arrived in perfect condition and it is literally the EXACT mould I found on Amazon!
When I am looking for cute inexpensive stocking stuffers, I start ordering in July from EBay so I have a lot of time to purchase something else from another store if it doesn’t make it to me. I have had great success with EBay and have had very few things not make it to my mailbox. Sellers are usually very good to deal with and will refund you 100% usually without question other than to ask that you give them a 5 star rating (Which I do and then I put in my notes that the item was lost in transit but the seller refunded me 100% and was a joy to deal with) so I do not feel like I am lying. IF something DOES show up after I have been refunded I do get ahold of the seller and let them know. While it is past the allotted time I can leave feedback for the seller, I do forward the money to the Seller that was refunded to me as the parcel did arrive and I do not think that the seller should pay for that out of their own pocket when they work so hard to make a dollar as it is.
I have even found some items that are the same brand name as what Michaels sells, on eBay, but for a fraction of the cost and will purchase it from eBay. In some cases it has indeed been a knock off and that is where PayPal comes in and protects me financially as well as the Sellers Policy has a return section and while you have to pay the return (traceable) shipping if you are just not happy with the item, if it is damaged or does not work or is the wrong item or a counterfeit, the Seller MUST pay for the return shipping.
So, if you want to save a ton of money and are willing to search out what you need on EBay and you are NOT in a rush….then why not SAVE YOUR MONEY? 1/2 if not more of what I find on ebay is the exact same thing that American and Canadian Stores sell but for 10 x the amount of what I find it for on EBay. It is worth it to me to go on eBay and save a good chunk of change as well as find items that I otherwise could not afford. Again, a mould that was over $50 on Amazon, I found on EBay for $11!!!! Free Shipping and it arrived in 21 days, in perfect condition and again, it was EXACTLY the same mould that was on Amazon!
Don’t get me wrong, if Canada or the US starts making items like this “at home” of course I will ALWAYS Support 🇺🇸 & 🇨🇦 FIRST!!! Until then, if my hands are tied then it’s my money and I’ll save every buck I can!! Good luck and get your PayPal account set up! You should have one regardless because ANY online purchases I make are made with Paypal and that way my Credit Card is secure and never hacked as is my personal information!! I have had a PayPal account for over a decade and my Mom makes me buy her stuff with my Account! So, between PayPal and EBay, there is a small learning curve but it is certainly well worth the money I save!!! (And BOTH memberships are FREE by the way! And one last bit of person preference advice…..I do not use the Paypal App, I access it via my Browser like Safari or FireFox etc. I just find it easier to use than the App. Personal preference!).

Answering your questions about paper. She taped tissue paper to typing paper so it would feed through the printer. Later she said to use either waxed paper or the waxy side of freezer paper over the image on the candle whem you use the heat gun; each of these papers would not stick over the tissue paper image. She also said you can just carefully heat the image onto the candle.

1.) Cut the image out you like.
      2.) Get wax candle.
3.) Size image to your candle.
4.) Get wax paper. Cut to length/width of candle. Leaving you some to grasp in middle. To protect you from burning.
5.) Hair dryer or heat gun.
6.) With tissue or napkins on WAX candle, cover with WAX PAPER, using heat source (HEAT GUN or HAIR DRYER) on low, WAX from candle will melt and set the tissue on the candle.
