My late Mom and I lived in one that had an angled hall which I thought was so neat. It had an expand-o family room that let the western sun in making it Hot! We could not afford to run the a/c not even at night so it stayed a hot box most of the year. The laundry room was a weird awkward triangle. Scorpions came in and we had to watch for diamondbacks under the steps. It burnt to the ground a few weeks after we sold it. I like the better, more escapable windows they put in them now. Those jalousie windows were common but not safe in a fire.
Good point, I lived in a single wide back in the late 80’s and really liked it, it was only a two bedroom, but had two full baths, the down side was my babies were at one end of the house, and the master was at the other, AND the water heater was hidden in the kids room behind the paneling, scared me to death cuz we were on propane. But the boys were right, we didn’t have a pantry there, but the mobile home park was set up in a way that most people used their back doors as the main entry point, there wasn’t even a walkway to the front door, so I turned the coat closet into a pantry by putting a book shelf in there. I really enjoyed living in that park it was managed well, the house is still there, my exhusband lived there for about ten more years then rented it to an older couple until just before he passed, he basically signed it over to them, they had a special needs adult grand son and he just really didn’t want them to get screwed over if he sold it as an investment property. They gave him around $2,700 for it, he could have easily sold it for $25,000 to $35,000 as he was handy and so was the tenant. Anyway, those windows scared me, are you referring to the fact they had those spring loaded locks that we had to push inward towards the center of the window frame to lift them up, and they’d click into place? I was always scared we’d get trapped so my husband hung a little hammer 🔨 up towards the top but behind the curtains so if we needed to I could smash out the window, push out the frame and throw a blanket over the edge to get out, I always worried about fire, still do all these years later, 37 years later lol, and I don’t even live in a mobile home, but am thinking about retiring in one, ok, sorry I blabbered your eyes out, I think my pain meds are kicking in LMBO 🤤

Dear lord, was this an animal hoarding situation, or did they just live like hogs? Looks like a mental health emergency for whoever lived there. Maybe they abandoned it and left the animals? I live in a 2003 Castle Housing of PA, 28x80 model Majestic, with my family and three moronic Beagles and I cannot fathom how a home gets like that. Even the tops of the washer and dryer are filthy. My house looks like it just came off the lot, usually, lol. It’s the modular package, primed and painted finished drywall, plywood subfloors, the same floor joists and rafters used in stick built. Probably why they had to declare bankruptcy, lol. They weren’t turning out junk, AND we don’t live like hogs. Love this layout, too bad they ruined it, and the kitchen….who’s idea was it to paint the entire room, including the cupboards, to look like 40,000 lemons exploded. And why paint real oak cabinets such a horrific color? Seems like everyone paints these mfgd homes right over the wallpaper, using the ugliest colors in the pallet. Think ahead folks. Make your home “your own” within reason. If you ever need to sell, nobody is going to pay you $50 bucks for that even if it is clean. That wallpaper is the same wallpaper that was in my 1995 Skyline bathroom, which I sold and the place still is in beautiful condition. I don’t get it. There is no reason for it. If you aren’t going to clean up dog or cat crap, let the pet find a home that cares about it. That’s animal abuse. That long stain on the wall could be bodily fluids from a deceased person or animal. Passed away on the bed perhaps. Unless you’re going to get this for $800 bucks and totally gut it, I would have to pass on this mess guys. It’s too bad because the layout is awesome. Great video though, as always.

Thanks for watching this one was bad and they said they wanted 25,000
TRYING TO REPLACE THE CHEAP DOUBLE WINDOWS IS A BIG PROBLEM. IT IS EASIER TO REPLACE THE 2 WINDOWS WITH A SINGLE ONE. ORDERED FROM A MOBILE HOME DEALER, OF COURSE. NOTE! NOT ALL CONTRACTORS WILL WORK ON A MOBILE HOME, BECAUSE OF ITS ECCENTRICITIES. UNLESS, THEY ARE DESPERATE. FINIS PAX

I have not financed any of mine so I can go to a regular insurance company and they tell me the dollar amount they’re going to insure in the last 16 x 80 they told me they would give me $160,000. If something was to happen to it that’s a 97 model.
