Awesome video. I currently have the G7. looking to get the GH5 or S5 for wedding gigs. The only worrying thing is the price range of the L mount lenses right now. Looking forward to more videos like these. Thanks mate
I do have that lens but have only used it a handful of times. Never used it for any professional work but it seemed decent when I used it! I would never choose that lens over any of my lumix primes however.@@JMXCzw
Great video! I have a quick question. Coming from a video production background, I typically use the Sennheiser G4 wireless system with my camera. However, I've noticed that many wedding videographers use the DR-10L, which records audio internally. My first question is, do the bride and groom typically allow recording throughout the entire day? I imagine there are a lot of private conversations and moments throughout the day. My second question is related to syncing audio and video clips recorded at different times. Isn't it challenging to find the right audio clips and sync them in post-production? Thank you in advance for your insights!
Thank you! The only time I’ve left the Tascams on is when I’ve actually forgotten to take them off. I’ve never needed/wanted to keep them on for longer than needed. Partly due to the risk of drinks being spilt/sweat/other guests fiddling about with them. However, I do put the mics back on for little special moments like the first look with dad or the couple:) With syncing, premiere pro has an auto synchronise feature. So, with one click I can sync up the Tascam track to the camera track!
Thank you! A huge difference: - You can save up to three focal lengths to the range finder. - You can track and swap between faces all over the screen rather than just in the middle with the 3d focus (without face tracking) - You can set focus points across the entire screen rather than just the middle. - You can use the range finder handheld as well in theory with a bit of work.
your footage is incredible
Thank you so much!

Thanks mate!
L mount lens can be pricey but there are some good catches out there for sure! I believe the 50mm 1.8 is £250 - £350:)
@@CreatedByCal Thats very affordable. Do you by any chance use the kit 20-60mm. If yes is it usable for pro work?

@@CreatedByCal thank you for taking the time to respond. I will definitely have to go for the 50mm and build from there. Thanks again.
Thank you for this informations. What about grading, how do you make color grade? Do you use Luts?

@@CreatedByCal thank you for the answer, I have seen alot of wedding filmmakers strapping tascam to the bride's leg all day.
@@purpleweddingfilms Can’t be comfortable for the bride!
Hey Cal, love your videos
Amazing content. I have a small question. What’s the difference for you when shooting with the 3d focus vs the rangefinder ?
Thank you!

@@CreatedByCal Oh, many useful things! that's awesome. Thanks and keep up the great work
Finally someone who uses Panasonic! Everyone uses Sony or Canon, but we all know the real ones use Panasonic. 😉
We got to stick together us Panny users!
what adapter do you use for the lenses?
Just a cheap manual Canon EF - L mount adapter
