- Paul Williams (My Favorite Member) gives a heartwarming performance singing for in my life. RIP Paul Williams (1939-1973) A Tempt 4 Life.🕊️🙏🎤🎼🎶🎵📀
Paul put all his heart and soul into this performance. There have been other renditions of this song, but Paul's is my fave.
Mine too
Paul, Master Baritone and Choreographer, The GOAT!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
I can't watch him sing this without crying. Sad as he appears, this was his moment and it was beautiful. He truly felt this. God bless him. I'm crying 😭😭. Damn.
Every time 😭 why do I do this to myself but it’s so beautiful
Girl, maybe you need to get out of the house more often
@@baja8072 No. I think I may need to be less sensitive 🤗.

Paul sang the hell out of this. So sad that he was suffering with Sickle Cell. RIP Paul. 🙏🏼
Who told you he was suffering from Sickle Cell? That's a damn lie Paul had a serious drinking problem he was an alcoholic.
On August 17, 1973, at the age of 34, Williams was found dead inside a car parked in an alley having just left the new house of his then-girlfriend after an argument. A gun was found near his body. His death was ruled as an apparent suicide.According to Otis Williams, Paul had expressed suicidal thoughts to him and Melvin Franklin months before his death.
The circumstances surrounding Williams's death caused the Williams family to suspect that some form of foul play was the actual cause of Williams's death. According to the coroner, Williams had used his right hand to shoot himself on the left side of his head. In addition, a bottle of alcohol was found near Williams's left side, as if he had dropped it while being shot. The gun used in the shooting was found to have fired two shots, only one of which had killed Williams.
@@MusicLoverPearson Sickle cell caused severe pain. That's not how he died. I am saying because of the pain drinking may have buffered the pain and may have contributed to him drinking along with Depression. My sister had sickle and remember back in the 60's no one knew of sickle cell like they do know. I am a witness to the countless times she spent at the hospital with pain. I grew up in the 50's. I never said sickle cell Was the cause of death. Alcohol may have caused him to become an alcholic. No we don't know what really happened to him. I think you assumed I was saying he died because of sickle cell.
@@MusicLoverPearsonit was a known fact that Paul did suffer from Sickle Cell, and was always in tremendous pain, hence why he started drinking. Sadly, he did end up taking his life. What an incredible talent taken far too soon. RIP Paul. 🙏🏾
@@MusicLoverPearsonit’s well known and well documented that Paul Williams drank as a way to relieve the pain of sickle cell. It turned into alcohol dependency over time. It’s in every book written about The Temptations. Otis Williams has discussed it numerous times.
Yes Indeed
Rest in Peace Paul Williams 🙏🙏🙏
Stop with all the pity party for this man. I was there in his heyday, seen him twice on-stage , and I do not think he would want the "oh woe is me " about him. He was a magnificent performer. Too many are playing that movie in your heads. This man just makes me happy and grateful he was ever here on earth to bless us with his talents. And man, was he sexy!!!!
Agree 100%. My man is performing the song. He was always about the performance
No pity party people are just goin on what they see period
I would have love to have experience that ❤
I get it. I think the movie failing to mention he had sickle cell and there was a high possibility that he was shot by sometime else put people in that mindset.
@@Groovy4ever24Omgee that’s what pissed me off and is they tried to make him like he was a drunk when he really had sickle cell!
He looks
so sad😢
Paul Williams My Favorite Member on the Temptations
He looks so sad singing this , outstanding performance..
Stupid ass comment
He Do Looks Very Sad And He Is Truly Been Miss
2 me Paul had the voice. He's my favorite lead singer. His voce pulled from somewhere else
That quick turn at 1:21 is pain right there
Truly a masterpiece... the most heart felt song I've ever heard
He’s living his entire life in this moment a true old soul singer
I wish he was given the care and love he needed in his LAST YEARS
They tried.
He was just a young bunny when he died at 34. That way way to young to die
Rip Paul fly high brother
My favorite Temptations
Paul Williams will always be my favorite singer out of this group.
He was the Best dancer
Paul Williams sacrificed a lot not to be a lead singer.
Because his voice and talent was golden and under appreciated by Motown.
Reason being is Simply this,
He was overlooked because so much talent was in one amazing company.
Temptations was a super group that was supposed to share the spotlight.
Sad fact is even in that paul truly was taken for granted as he never got pushed as a household name. It possible Paul thought about this fact as he reflected on this truth.
Never will he be highlighted like
David, Eddie & Dennis.
Thus, all we have is this incredible performance he so sadly left behind.
He had the potential of a NAT KING COLE.
Check their Anthology.
Out of all the temptations mega hits
This is hands down the most elegant & classiest song
THE TEMPTATIONS EVER RECORDED!
& That’s saying a lot about
THE LATE GREAT PAUL WILLIAMS.
Because In this one particular spotlight.
He showed us all what a timeless yet elegant Masterpiece looks like!
❤😢😮😊 😎💡👍🥹
Paul had the most commercial voice of the Classic Five
Mighty God of Daniel, why we don't have singers like these anymore
My fav Tempt. RIP Mr. Paul Williams.
They are looking like five kings standing there.
Paul!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Temptations forever 😢
Poor Paul. He always looked so sad. It was evident he was in pain throughout his career 😢
No every song he sang .. related to him. If you know Paul’s story from a child you would know he sang himself everytime
Where are songs like this in 2024 smh
Sounds like a king. singing
this should have been in the movie🤧😭🤧😭 not that piece of crap piano part in the movie😢😫😭😤
Hollon now they piano part was just as excellent as this
@10keeflo I know it was but I just feel that the piano wasn't needed and they should have used this but the performance was perfect
I hope someday we get a re release of this special.
he singing from the Heart, cause he lived every word & note
I never knew Paul could sang like this. They never really show him singing songs like they do the other original Temptations. That’s so SAD that his talent is not shown and disrespectful especially being an ORIGINAL. Rest in Peace MR. PAUL WILLIAMS.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙏🏽💜
Here are some songs you can check out that Paul led on: "Oh, Mother Of Mine," "Check Yourself," "The Further You Look, The Less You See," "I Want A Love I Can See," "Don't Look Back," which was a hit, "No More Water In The Well," "He Who Picks A Rose," "Last One Out Is A Brokenhearted," "Forever In My Heart," "How Can I Forget," "Pretty Little Brown Skin Girl," "Little Green Apples"
Add some more songs Paul sang Lead on: Who Can I Turn To ,Lonely, Lonely Man Am I, Give it Up, videos available on UA-cam of performances of Ed Sullivan (Best things in Life Are Free, Don't Look Back, - two not sole lead but a lot of Paul, Hello Young Lovers, Autum Leaves, September in the Rain) (there is the black and white video also), Running Away Ain't Gonna Help You.
@@VD-USA21 I already uploaded both the best things in life and hello young lovers recently if you look on my channel. I will be looking forward to uploading songs that fans rarely heard so be on the look out!
Cant forget "Just Another Lonely Night", one of my very favorite Temptations songs.
@@justpde Yes, another one of my favorites.
And God created Paul Williams❤
He looked so sad😢 Rip Paul Williams
Paul was the type of singer to take a song and made you feel what he was singing. It's like he's pouring his heart out to us, telling a story
I know his Pain all too well. Sang it in Heaven Paul.
we love you Paul Williams
What a wonderful voice and emotion, so unic… miss you Paul Williams
REST IN LOVE & PEACE, SIR❤️👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Sing it Paul Williams And You're Truly Been Miss
Who hurt this man to sing such a sad beautiful powerful song?😢
Paul is known for singing with soul and emotion. He brings the story to life by actually singing what he felt or how the song felt. That's the greatness of Paul Williams
Life did
His love song to heroin. When you love something so much that you can't walk away, even though it is killing you.
He just sang the song like all the other temptations sang their songs
The oppression of 1960s is the person who hurt him
Wish we got a Paul Williams solo album
Paul!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Paul poured his heart out in this performance! You don’t see that these days, folks are performing half dressed with lyrics that don’t make sense. He was a huge part of the Temptations! R.I.P Paul Williams 🕊️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Damn, Damn Paul. So touching. Sad. Gone too soon.
Sing Paul!!
thank you
I wish we had him singing the whole rendition of this song. It has more soul and passion than the original version sang by Paul Williams
Lawd!! I know his pain.
🥹
love 1:50
He shldv had MORE leads, Like Ricky Bell in New Edition
I'm trying to keep it together
I think Steve wonder sang this song first. But I think I like the version better
ONLY one ingredient was missing. Can you guess who ?
No one was missing. The Temps were whole regardless .
David ruffin
"I'm David Ruffin and these are the temptations"
Every time he says “once” it sounds like Frank Sinatra.
He Had a Drinking Habit 🍸 🍸
You would of too, if you were suffering from constant pain and no doctors could help you control it!
In fact, your additions would have been many! So have at least the consideration to understand this man’s pain and existence!
That's right Ese! Matter fact why does everyone keep listening to the goddamn movie?!? Either read otis book or do your godamn research!!
I know his story was sad but I can't help but think of his character in the movie drunk trying to sing this song lol. RIP brotha
