  • Hey, just dropped a new video giving you a sneak peek into my day as a Japanese language school student in Tokyo's lively sharehouse scene. I spill the beans on everything - from the daily grind of studying at our shared dining table to the ups and downs of sharehouse life. Dive in to see my Tokyo routine, complete with subway rides, bustling Akihabara walks, trying to create some personal time, and the unique challenges of share house living.

    Looks like a bit more polished old UA-cam video, actually edits them, voice overs, camera quality because of technology is actually decent other than video stabilization which makes it look like a normal person filmed and edited something to share with the world rather than being a full time job. Definitely something that more people would appreciate in their home feeds.

      Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. I do hope to up the quality when I can but will stick to filming with my phone probably.

    Hey! I've been using wani kani as well. Really enjoy it. Ive been on it for several months now. I'm in lesson 8, which im sure is way behind you as I understood nothing on your laptop screen 😅. I feel a bit loppsided now: I'm a much stronger reader than listener, but hopefully that changes as I learn more verb conjugation and stuff. Thanks for the video!
    Might look into language school myself, but for now, my wife and I are taking our first visit there in this summer possibly.

      Wanikani is awesome, I can’t recommend it enough. It definitely got harder as I kept going but so worth it. There are some awesome podcasts with simple Japanese if you want to improve your listening.
      I’m glad you liked the video.
      Hope you enjoy your trip and get to experience Japan to the fullest!😊

    Thanks for this. I'm filling out an application to attend a language school right now. I already passed N2, but tired of thinking that some day I will move to Japan. Language school seems to be the easiest and fastest way to make this dream come true

      im on your same boat, though im not even sure i can pass N5 😅 been learning the language since last year but this year my study rate has decreased due to reasons, I do intent to learn more while being there but i'll have a few basics going in

    Sorry I haven’t really checked on all of your videos but what are you long term plans for Japan? Do you plan to live in Japan when you are done school? What are your job plans for Japan, or do you already have one? ありがとうございます!

    im thinking about going to a language school next year! If you don't mind answering how much did you save before going?

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  3 місяці тому +1

      I think it was about 10k USD because I knew that I it would take some time before I could work. But it really depends on your expected expenses. Language school is not cheap as well. But the price of living could be quite affordable, depending of the lifestyle you want of course.

    OMG You do Pole in Japan?? How is it? I'll be going to a language school in Kyoto next April and I want to visit the pole studio there to get into contact with locals and all

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  17 днів тому +1

      Yes! It’s a great way to make some friends. It was my plan to meeting locals as well. Just make sure to actually go to lessons and not just open pole. It’s way easier to connect with people during lessons.

    Anyway you could be my guide for just a couple days? Kinda nervous of going this summer 🤦🏽‍♂️

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  4 місяці тому +2

      Haha I really get that feeling.
      Not sure my full time job will be happy about it though. 😂
      It’s gonna be fine as long as you come with an open mind and do some basic research in advance . Let me know if there’s anything specific you are worried about.

      I’m glad you liked it. ❤️I think I might share the name of the school at a later point but I don’t feel comfortable doing it yet. Very sorry🥺, hope you stick around.

    I lived in Okinawa for a year. Student visa. Was epic. Impossible to date Japanese people, but I got a great Vietnamese girlfriend while there. What nationality gaijin are you dating? Ha.

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  Місяць тому

      Wow a year in Okinawa sounds awesome. I get what you mean, dating Japanese people can be very challenging. Communication is even harder than it usually is in a relationship. I just happen to date the right person I guess.

    Nice vlog..am about applying for October 2024 intake, plz is there any age limit as am a mother of an 2years old

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  2 місяці тому +1

      That’s really awesome! You should definitely apply, studying in Japan is an experience I would recommend for anybody.
      As far as I know most major schools don’t have an age limit, only a minimum age restriction. I definitely had some parents studying with me at my language school.
      I found this post that might be helpful.

    Why you decided to move inJapan?

    • @RenaExplores
      @RenaExplores  4 місяці тому

      I was always curious about Japan, and the timing was just right. I had too much time on my hands, which led me to research Japan and realize that it’s not as impossible as I thought it was.

    Me parece una irresponsabilidad con el medio ambiente poner más de 40 minutos de lavadora para esas dos toallitas 😮

      You are so right, I would never do that usually. Unfortunately I had to wash the last of my laundry before moving out on the next day.
