Well done! Love the knobs and the drawer handles especially. You made a huge difference without ripping out the soul of the room. Why replace perfectly good cupboards that do the job? Designers tend to overlook the fact that ultimately a kitchen is a functional space - not a showroom. Go to professional kitchens and all you see are dull aluminium pans and aluminium worktops. Unless our kitchens are huge spaces able to accomodate bankquettes and stately kitchen tables seating 12 people, I don't see the point of treating them as reception rooms. That's actually a relatively new concept and for me a bit of a con to fleece homeowners. Spend it on comfy communal spaces instead I say.

I have recently learned that most people pronounce it dee-cals like you - I think it may be regional as everyone I know personally pronounces it the same way as I do but when I posted a video about this makeover on TikTok I got lots of comments on the funny pronunciation!
I was surprised at how well the dark upper cabinets turned out - I tend to think of light colours for uppers. This was really nice! And the decals added so much cheer!

The green paint is a lovely color. Funny but I pronounce decals as dee cals. The makeover is so cute.
