I’m so excited to share this kitchen makeover with you all! Today I’m showing you a few tips and tricks to make a boring small kitchen look like a Pinterest dream kitchen. Awesome job! If you decide to do an upgrade on those pantry shelves in the future, you could get new, deeper shelves that fit cut at the hardware store and then put a piece of molding on the front of them and paint them white to match. Could be cheap wood since you are just painting them and that way you have a real built in!
I didn’t think I would like the brass color with the chrome/ stainless steel color but it looks great!

I knows it’s been ten months, but the tiles are actually pretty durable and easy to clean! I just clean mine by either wiping up whatever I spilled or using a swiffer

Inspiring. I bet you wished you'd done this sooner so you could've lived in it like that. In Australia though, they wouldn't let you put the tile down, put holes in the wall or paint the light fitting, nor remove the contact paper either probably. In fact they don't let you do much at all, unless you have a VERY negotiable landlord and you get permission first and then they'd probably want you to put it all back the way it was when you left. I've known landlords to take literally 100s of photos prior to a tenancy and they check every one of those photos when you leave and if one thing is different you'll lose your bond deposit.

The drawer on the oven comes all the way out so you don't have to move the whole oven to finish. The floors look great. Wouldn't have noticed the pattern being slightly off until you said something. :)

you should be able to just remove the drawer for the oven! then you can add tile without moving the whole oven

You can remove the bottom oven drawer. You just left the drawer. If you can’t your maintenance guy will be able to remove it.

Thang Nguyen There are little legs that are attached to the oven, which is heavy, so it isn’t as easy to put the tile underneath! If the legs weren’t there, I would’ve done it in a heartbeat 🙈

I used these tiles in my last apartment but when I moved out it left gross glue residue which I was unable to remove, cost me $150 of my deposit. Recommend you put thick paper or cardboard down and tile on top.

🖼 Love wall art in kitchen, esp. in a room w/o windows too. It really can add pizzazz & elegance. Her selection works quite lovely with that soothing color palette. Unless she is thinking about adding a shelf or rack below at some point, I would only suggest those two pieces be lowered. Art is best at eye level (about 60" from floor to mid-print). They seem too high.

Don’t use peel and stick on your apartment floors. After 8 months I removed and it left a nasty glue residue which I was unable to clear enough. Cost me $150 of my deposit and $30 in cleaners that didn’t work. Lay cardboard or thick paper down (use heavy double stick tape to place on floor. Then tile. No cleanup!
no hate, just an observation... this isn't really renter friendly. I don't know many people who can spray paint their landlords light fixtures or place peel and stick laminate floors down without some protection to the original flooring. So, I'm commenting this in the case someone else comes by this video thinking it's actually renter friendly things they can do. Maybe they'll see this comment so they are aware. just my thoughts.

Thumbs up! Everything is very nice! I have a question and an observation please. You didn't explain the cloth on the paper towel dispenser. Is that just reusable cloth in place of disposable paper towels or something else? This is my first time here👋🏾. The dinnerware is gorgeously styled on the island. I was thinking that they would pick up floor debris on that lower shelf and need to be washed for every use. Or were they for decor purposes only? I make poster board mock ups of pictures and tape them to the wall with painters tape. I think the back paper really highlights when there is a discrepancy between the amount of area between two items being off. I think that it gives me the opportunity to see how things will look before putting holes into the wall and you have the opportunity to reposition a few times.
