"Many Moons had passed, since the Worms went to War. Onwards and upwards."
"Bigger weapons than before. Boggy B took cover, he shivered on patrol. The arms race crazy, simply way out of control."
"Then his friend threw it, the latest device. Boggy B went and got it against all advice."
Boggy B: "What the f-"
(())
"His tail was split and his energy lost. How many more will this dreaded war cost?!"
"Then came the Nuke. The disease tumbling down. If the bug didnt get you, you'd probably drowned."
"The WÓRMS battled on. Through Hunger and Pain. Living to fight, just to victor again."
"And now it's the curtain call, the final onslaught. No better bullet you could have possibly have bought."
"But spare a thought for Boggy and with it, his friend. So fight with their honor and fight until the end."
12 years ago i discovered worms with this game. always skipped the title screen and never got to hear this past 0:15+ lmao. got it on steam last year and got the time to hear this at the title screen.
masterpiece
I used to listen to it all the time on my PS1 when I was 5. I had the whole thing memorized and wrote it down in a school copybook when I was bored xD
I got to listen to it by complete accident as a kid, because one time I decided to boot up the game and go afk, and by the time I got back I heard the banger part and instantly loved it.
@@erikhanseisenheber Thank you, I'm happy to hear you like it.
@@bjornlynneofficial Absolute legend. I still remember the first time I was sat on the menu long enough for the vocals to come in and it scared 8 y/o me shitless! Thank you for your service
The best Wormsong
this is wormsome
I absolutely adore this Wormsong! I find it impressive how you managed to convey the horrors of war through the somewhat comedic lense of a kids games soundtrack. Again, I just love this track!
"convey the horrors of war" this is a massive bruh moment
@@me67galaxylife typing out massive bruh moment unironically is a bit of a bruh moment 😂
@@Cheecken oh right sorry zoomer it's not "cool" anymore, also using a boomer emoji, can't you smell the irony
Thank you so much the compliment. Very happy to hear you enjoyed it.
@@bjornlynneofficial damn still replying after all this time
GGs for your work
You made this song? Absolute legend. Menu themes are important. When you get past the logo screens it's the first thing you hear and this blew me away as a kid.
Thank you. I made this music in like 1997 or 1998 while I was working at Team17 Software as the in-house musician.
@@bjornlynneofficial I've started playing worms games in 2010, and this theme got into my head. And some remixes as well. And, man, 0:30. It's just Am E but why does it sound so bittersweet
This song is basically my childhood lol. Thank you so much for composing it ❤👏😍
Thank you very much for listening and commenting. Glad to hear you liked it!

Oh, the memories of playing Worms Armageddon for the first time!
I played this Game in 2000 in My PS1...good times
This song was part of my childhood and brought tears of happiness in my eye to just discover it now after years. Thank you for this masterpiece.
Thank you for listening, both back in 1998 and still today. :)
I remember being a little mad that this iteration didnt have the chorus but, other than that, I think it's my favorite version.
Childhood in one song.
Thanks a lot for making such a masterpiece.
Thank you for the kind comment. 🙏🙏
My favourite worms game.♥️
La musica de menu mas asombrosa que conozco ! gracias por crearla
His tail was split and his energy lost how many more will this dread war cost :(
R u serious??
I've never wanted any War!!!¡¡!!!¡!!
Everybody gangsta til the worms start bopin'
Hup!
@@MAGNUSWAKERS Whoa!
still a banger
this is wholesome
this is wormsome
I absolutely love this theme song. Loved it from the moment I put the game disk in my CD player back in the day. Thanks for sharing and making such a badass track 🤩!
Thanks for this fine track Bjorn, it evokes strong memories from the early 2000's when I first obtained a copy of the game & got totally hooked on it!
back then this music was a blessing to hear.
Absolute banger! Been playing a bunch of Armageddon with friends lately and the one consistent thing they all say is that the music is pretty sick.
Whoa I just noticed you're the original creator!! This song has been damn amazing since I first heard it with the N64 you truly set up an intro!! That tone at around 30 seconds and lasts for only 14 seconds sounds just awesome I wish it lasted longer but def amazing work dude!
Thank you for listening and commenting. :-)
Played it on PS1 and got it on Evercade. :) Love the tune.
Oi. Do yourself a favor and play the PC version, perhaps on a Steam Deck?
Sincerely, it's just that, the PC version has infinitely more content and looks a lot better, too
@@Thornskade I didn't own one back then.
@@mathewdewsbury9456 But I'm talking about now, the Evercade is recent
Just booted up this on ps1 and greeted to this banger!
The cover of this game looks like 80's Crimson Chin.
How is this video so forgotten?
Not forgotten by me.
There's an older upload of this video with half a million views, so, you're looking in the wrong place XD
Thank you! Amazing!
Do you know how long you’d have to wait for it to come back on again?! 😂
El mejor juego de la historia
Upload this on Spotify ♥️
Hi, unfortunately this is not on Spotify, but it is on Bandcamp drawesome.bandcamp.com/ (album Worms Armageddon) :)
I don't know where my other comment went, but can I ask if this was created using Fasttracker II?
(You also used to make music tracker modules as well, right? Can I ask where to find those?)
Hi, I did work a lot with Fasttracker II, however this song was created with "Cakewalk" music software and a bunch of hardware synthesizers.
@@bjornlynneofficial Ah, okay.
Is there anywhere where you keep your old fasttracker songs on the internet?
@@green-lean-espeon Yes. :-) Go to Spotify, Amazon Music, iTunes / Apple Music, or even UA-cam music, and search for the artist name "Dr. Awesome". There is an album called Dr. Awesome "Original Amiga Works" and another called Dr. Awesome "Early Game Soundtracks". I hope you enjoy. :)
This song brings memories! But still pissed off why u put twice as much snares at 3:21 😂 should have keeped it as it is at 00:47
Was this made with tracker software or with hardware?
It was made with hardware.
@@bjornlynneofficial very cool! did you do the acid bass with a 303 or an equivalent?
@@nubman41 This was in 1998, now 26 years ago! So in general I do not remember exactly what I used for every individual sound, BUT, I think that acid bass was done on my hardware NOVATION BASS STATION synth.
Was this created using Fasttracker 2?
(I also heard that you made a few module music files before and I was wondering where I can find the modules you made.)
Lovely synthwork, thanks for the memories.
Were you inspired by late 90s trance when you were making this?
Bjørn Lynne came straght out of the 90s demoscene when he joined Team 17 so it's safe to say that 90s trance music is a major inspiration for his work. You can clearly hear the trance elements in this song, from the arpeggiated synths, "trancegates", 909 drums complete with snare rolls.
This sounds very Metal Gear Solid-esque!
And to think this game has a PS4/PS5 re-release.
It doesn't
I'm thinking of streaming this game on my Twitch channel at some point... Will this intro music trigger a copyright strike/vod mute? I'd hate to have to skip/mute it, but wouldn't want to infringe on copyrights just to play it
To the best of my knowledge, this music is not in any system that causes Twitch streams to get copyright strikes. The music does cause a 'copyright claim' on UA-cam (this is not the same as a copyright strike) but UA-cam videos do not get muted, blocked or removed -- they only get monetized. That is for UA-cam. For Twitch, I don't think this music is in any system like that.
@@bjornlynneofficial Awesome, thanks so much for the response! That'll scratch my retro gaming itch for a few streams at least!
Wormslogy
Liked for a good theme
What the heck are you even talking about.. I personally composed and recorded this music. Who do you accuse me of having stolen this from?
+buck9393 do research before accusing someone thanks. also there's no ads in the video(?)
@buck Imagine stealing the work you've done.
Lmao you're all flipping out and I didn't even do anything
Did you write the "worms" melody or the Armageddon version specifically or all of them?
