Years later, this video helped me out on determining why I heard a weird rubbing noise on my new to me 2007 Honda XR650XL. I already ordered the part and will be using this as guidance for installation. Thanks!

Too easy LOL. I didn't see any videos on this so I figured I do a video on this.
I just had a great ride yesterday and after I loaded up my bike I found out one of my front shocks was bleeding some fluid :( and my old boots are all torn up. Need to wait for a few paychecks before returning to the mountains.

it was a fast and easy process I'm glad that it was so easy to remove . the funny thing is I fix my gas tank and this chain slider and now my front shock is leaking. I will return back to reading after I have fixed everything. thank you so much for watching and commenting. I recorded a bunch of stuff for Labor Day but I'm not sure it's a good idea to upload it since it's so late already. Aloha my friend

There is no mod. That's the factory set up for the CR.
All you had to do was sand the clamps down or paint them.

What is exactly the use of a Chain Slider?
I have a '07 Suzuki GS500F and I see a lot of motorcycle parts shop that have these in stock to fit specifically for my motorcycle?
Are they entirely just aesthetic?
Hi Jonas, the purpose for the chain slider is to protect the swing from getting wacked by the chain.
