So, it's back to the grind so to speak, but before the work week starts, we have the weekend to explore. I was lucky enough to be informed that one of the favourite (and probably the best) buffet in Vancouver has re-opened. I couldn't resist and had a great dinner with friend Nicole with live Jazz performances, great food selections from a live pasta station, to perfectly prepared west coast seafood. And it keeps getting better as we were told not to miss the brunch buffet they have on Sundays!
I couldn't resist another visit and was glad I did! Tender roast lamb, a flakey salmon wellington and all seafoods and meats were done to succulent perfection. Thank you for joining!

The Pan Pacific Hotel looks beautiful inside. The Ocean 999 Restaurant is pretty big. You got some cheese, hams, salad, asparagus, potato, salmon, spring roll, bacon, sausage, NY steak, shrimp dumplings, pork siu mai, omelette, lamb, salmon Wellington and beautiful desserts. The view is awesome.

Welcome back! The breakfast buffets are always a favorite with me. Breakfast, for me, is eggs and bacon and sausage but can include so much more. Did they have pancakes or waffles? Everything looked perfectly prepared and so appetizing on your plate. Wasn’t it nice to eat leisurely without having a time limit like in Japan?!? You looked more relaxed. Until next time…. 👍🏻🌹👍🏻

NIce to see you showcase Vancouver. Looks lovely. Love the way the brunch stations are set up. Not too "sanitary". Creative. We fans need a tee-shirt "I saw Tim Lee eat a salad!" Ha, ha. I really like fennel. That halibut looked great. You so often do "two of this", maybe you are a Gemini.

Looks delicious, i grew up in Vancouver from the late 50's to the late 70's, they didn't have this kind of buffet back then lol. I have been in Calgary now for 40+ years , and while we have some good buffets .. we certainly don"t get the great selection of fresh seafood you do. I hope the next time I am in Vancouver I will get to try this restaurant out .. thanks for the review!!

What an amazing selection of brunch foods. I honestly couldn’t think of thing one might want for brunch that wasn’t there. I usually most follow your budget friendly suggestions. But I think this would be a treat worth saving up for, giving up some other outings for. Truly Spectacular! I often spend about half this amount on a simple dim sum, or a breakfast at The Sylvia. I got there with friends because it’s got such a great location and I live nearby. But, 999!! All I need to do is find a friend willing to spend $61 on brunch. We are all pensioned Seniors. What a great video!! Thanks so much. Wonderful to have such a fantastic buffet here in Vancouver.

When most people think about my side of the continent(Boston) they think of Lobster 🦞. When thinking of yours it's definitely Salmon. Serving it cooked Wellington style is so interesting 😋

Oop something went wrong with my earlier post continue on, I loved the setting of the restaurant and the food was enticing and I love they had unusual food pairing. Salmon Wellington and steak in an warmer so delicious. Thank u Tim for this share and the desserts were great, I love when they r small and u can try multiples. Thank you again. My wife and I always stay at the Pan Pacific the night before our cruises. Of course we enjoy the best brunch buffet anywhere at the Pan. We include this in our room fee. When we return we get off the ship in the AM and go to the buffet before we go home. After breakfast my wife and I visit the fine shops at the Hotel. This is a wonderful experience captured so lovingly by Tim!

I’m about a 5 hour drive south of Vancouver BC, so this wouldn’t be a stretch for me. I can conceive doing an extended weekend up there so I can do this buffet. It looks totally worth it. Nice little getaway 👌.
You know, whenever I think about west coast Canadian cuisine, salmon is always at the very top of the list. I think it’s that way for the entire Pacific Northwest as a whole because of the rich Native American history that’s here.
Sorry, I have to differ with you on the crème caramel. Not a huge fan. But good news is that this buffet carries both that *and* my favorite: *crème brûlée.* All of this looks so great. Tim, I’m so glad you trail blazed this place for me! I know where my next mini vaycay is gonna be now 😅!!!!

The brunch was pretty nice and the good thing is it's right in the heart of downtown. Hope you give it a try. Love visiting Nanaimo as well 😀
You really need to get to Myrtle Beach South Carolina and where there are like 100 seafood buffets. It's also a really nice area with probably 1,000 restaurants. It's tropical with palm trees. 👍🏻♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸🙏🏻

Wow! Great timing, Tim... My wife and I will be coming into Vancouver in a couple weeks to begin a cruise to Alaska... (our third time there) Then will be staying over in Canada for a couple weeks, afterwards... doing a Canadian rockies tour and a stay in Vancouver for about a week, after our tour. We'll actually be staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel. We will definitely be trying out this Sunday Brunch. Do you need a reservation for this? Also, are people still required to wear masks in certain places? Thanks.

Nicole and I went to their dinner buffet and the servers and host suggested we visit the brunch. I must say that the brunch is much better than the dinner buffet. But who knows, they may have changed things. The dinner didn't have too much seafood or steak options, just the pasta station back then.

I try to place the capers on the cream cheese, then top with the smoked salmon. Keeps it all together.

Its pretty much a block down the street from the ventral station. Just go out the front door and turn right. Its across from the cruise ship terminal and convention center. 900 Burrard
