Iam using this transmission over 2 years. Let me explain some thing. This is automated manual transmission. First aim is fuel economy not sportiness. It was spend 1.75 seconds between gears. After new firmware upgrade at 2010 time drops to 0.75 sec. Honda said 1.8civic does 0-100kmh 8.9sec with manual transmission, 10.7sec with i-shift. After update it does 9.7sec +-0.1.

Kürşat selamlar. Bu güncellemeyi servisler yapıyor mu? kim yapıyor bunu?

@@bugraozkan8137yetkili servisler yapması lazım. Honda servis geçmişi sisteminde benim araç 2011de güncellenmiş görünüyordu.

So overall the automatic mode is better than the semi automatic mode

I didn't have any problems with it, but I am not sure of the general reliability, I guess its better to hit the civic forums with that question

1.3-1.4 secs for shifting, double with respect to manual shifting, 10 times against DSG. When oil is cold even slower (I have this car and this gearshift).

LASANDER DASERFER The car is very reliable, I had it for 8 years and 110.000 km and had only one problem at the front wheel, solved brillliantly by Honda. It’s only that you don’t have to expect a sporty gearshift.

Selespeed though the same type of transmission, does it much much quicker.

Selespeed was a complete disaster in terms of reliability though.

@@googlereviewer1944 It was unreliable until the 2004 upgrade, which almost completely eradicated all the problems. I know what I'm talking about, because I was an owner of 147 Selespeed from 2005 to 2014 and the only problem that ever appeared was the need to replace the pressure accumulator - a repair that cost me around 170 euro. Not to mention the version used in 156 and 147 GTAs, which was reliable from the very beginning.

@@adamnowak3279 Selespeed was a P.O.S. I don't know a single owner who hasn't had problems with them. The 147/156 was also unreliable junk (I owned 2 of them) in the long term as the components were made made of cheese and constantly needed replacing.

@@adamnowak3279 Selespeed was horrific throughout its entire lifetime and downright dangerous as times due to its inability to change gears properly eg. pulling into a roundabout and needing to accelerate through. Have seen a robotised manual on any Alfa since they canned Selespeed? There's a good reason for it getting binned.

the I shift while clever cuts the 0-100km time by nearly 2 seconds over a 6 speed manual.
    thats rather disappointing

The future is automatic anyways lol I don’t even think anyone will bother driving a manual in like 20 years time unless you just like shifting a car by yourself. But if you were to race you would lose every time . By the time you think about shifting to 2nd gear the automatic has already finished it’s shift lol
