Replacing Throttle Body on 2007 5.3L for $95

- Well I was having problems out of my truck and it was kinda skipping/hesitating while driving down the road and starting off. It also wasn’t shifting just right either. So the other day the the engine light came on and the truck lost half of its power as I was coming up on a stop sign. The display said service stabilitrak, low idle and the Traction control light was on. So I had a friend check it and he said the throttle body needed to be replaced. So I ordered a brand new one from 1A Auto for $94.95 with FREE SHIPPING. Took all of about 20 min to install. I will put the links below for the parts. I hope this helps someone out. Hey! About to follow this guide here on replacing the throttle body and just wondered if you recommend removing the negative battery or ground cable first? It didn't look like you did here but I've read some other people recommend doing that first, wasn't sure if it would lead to having to relearn the sensor? Anyways, I really appreciate your video, soo helpful, thank you!! :)

I have an 07 yukon have you had an issue were the idle would bounce up and down while at a stop light... mine will drop below 500 rpm's and go back up to about 6-700 then drop again

Yeah I tend to notice that the oil pressure sensor gets a little clogged
I have to change that two with the throttle body and knock sensor
I have a 5.3 2009 same motor. I had the AFM (Active fuel Management) bite me in the butt. Cylinder 4 fail, lifter not even moving while engine running. before that it consumed oil. no leaking or burning. replaced motor for $5k Now i have it in V8 mode at all times by using the OBD2 module to bypass AFM. it costs about $189 for the module. hope this dont happen to you. Thanks for the video i need to try this, the guy did not replace this when he changed the motor.
Shane Adams -WOW!!! Crazy!!! Bro I just now replaced my engine to. Lol. I was on my way to Rome one Wednesday evening to take my son to a dentist appointment and the engine light comes on so I thought 🤔well I guess that throttle body is acting up again. So I keep going. While sitting in drive through at Steak & Shake I happen to look down and see my oil pressure gauge was on 5 pounds. 😬 BUT the motor still running great. No knocking or anything. Then I said well...I guess it was the oil sending unit going out again. (Which I replaced two years ago) so I Drive it on straight to church that Wednesday night and when I get out I followed my wife to go get dinner and I stop at a red light and when I hit the gas that truck sounded JUST LIKE A Diesel. Every valve in it was rattling so I left off the gas and coast over the hill and stop and said well...🤔 I guess it’s the dang oil pump. So I called a record to come get me and take my truck to my mechanic. Long story long he replaced oil pump throttle management plate. Well $1,700 worth of work and didn’t fix it. Lifters STILL rattling like a Diesel. He calls and said my cam bearings are wore out so I replaced the motor with a brand new motor from Auto Zone. Then $6,800 & 1,100 miles later she’s running great. 😁👍🏼 CRAZY!!! Anyways good luck bro! Let me know how it works out for ya. I need to put that module on mine to turn off that4 cyl CRAP.
I too got rid of the dod/afm as well via tune. Hopefully that will stop the oil problem.

About you 5.3 using oil replace your driver side valve cover it will stop using oil the pcv is pulling oil out of crank case they have a updated valve cover now to stop oil usage

@@locklearoutlawscl21 yes sir. It will say a bunch of different stuff on the dash. Like Stabilitrack or SOMETHING. And it only runs on like 4 cylinders and has no power. A few months ago it started acting up AGAIN and I thought well crap that didn’t last long at all. BUT it was the gas peddle that time.
My lifters went to knocking took it were I got it cause I’m only had it two months a 2008 Tahoe an they fixed the lifter knocking but I’m still having a problem kinda jumping I clean my throttle body but they had already did it but it’s still jumping not wanting to go an my lights come back on I think ima change both my throttle body an pedal sensor
