This video shows you how to install a new, engineered to fit TRQ throttle body on your 1999-2007 Chevy Silverado.

Good video. Just changed the throttle body on my 03. Piece of cake. A heads up though. The ECM had to relearn the TPS and I had to clear the codes to get the check engine light turned off.

I just did this on my 03 silverado. Great video, very helpful. Although I didn’t need to remove any studs it just came right out after disconnecting the coolant lines.

Heads Up. Bought just a sensor for the throttle body from O Reilly Auto Parts, The connectors on the sensor connectors are to deep in the sensor to plug into the throttle body. . Went back . The next one they brought out was the same way. Ended up buying a throttle body with the sensor. Mechanic is putting it on now. I hope the sensor on the throttle body is not like the others. Seems the machine that makes the sensor is out of adjustment. Be sure you take the old part with you. To make sure the connectors are not to deep in the sensor. Was having trouble with reduce power. Hope this will save sometime for someone.

Are you able to swap the sensor out without removing the throttle body? Thanks for the heads up cause I have a sensor from Autozone that I’m about to “attempt” to swap out.

Do you need to have it programmed when changing out throttle body or are you good just by swapping them?

Tip on diagnosis. If you get the dreaded reduced power while the cruise control is on it's not the accelerator pedal sensor.

06 1500, is torquing the mounting nuts imperative or recommended? Just curious if I have to purchase a torque wrench or if it just has to be tight but not stripped tight.

It is recommended and it’s super easy! After replacement let your truck idle for a few mins and then turn it off for a few minutes, after that shut it off and turn it back on for a minute or two. A code for the throttle body might pop up after that just clear it if it happens. After that take it for a drive around town and you should be set
