Love the idea off Mr. Hollis doing a podcast. I am saving it so I can listen to it often. Finding info regarding the Indian people that lived in my area is very difficult as it was sadly part of the Trail of Tears and even in schools their culture and history is not taught.
Setting one spot aside for a basic vegetable garden that the entire community contributes to maintaining and then a main library, a main greenhouse for starts, plants, perhaps a central location near the pond for any farm animal endeavors. Maybe a goat for milk, cheese or even a milk cow and all of these everyone could rotate in helping with? I'm just thinking. I love the idea of the homes being naturalized, like your cob wall or your yurts with recycled materials. This is a worthy and wonderful idea. Praying for your health. The Chinese gardens are so beautiful. The attention to detail and the varieties are so interesting.

We lost our adult daughter, had health issues come up and our straw bale home went off foundation , all in one year. Finding our feet again took a while, but we are living again! @@nicoledoucet6125 hi Nicole. Thank you. We built our straw bale similar to the old double pen log cabins..two cabins with breezeway (Dog Trot) in between.. the whole length was under one roof. used passive design.. heating and cooling was awesome. Earth plaster was a joy.. so beautiful and soothing to work with! But one side was on a dirt fill on raised piers… we made the assumption that with deep footings alll would be well. The ground had been heavily tamped by a dozer. Sadly when one of the fracking quakes happened near us, the ground basically liquified in that space. Piers rolled, the footings came out of the ground.. the house dropped and settled. The whole floor was like accordion folds. We were in bed when it happened..what a ride, lol.. terrifying at the time. If we were younger we would definitely rebuild with bale. I believe our walls were what saved our lives… had we been in a conventional home , I don’t think I’d be talking to you. The majority of our design was superior! Very warm in winter, cool in summer.. we did earth plaster, we’re careful in our orientation..used heat sink principles etc. The combination of poor site choice for the one cabin and not expecting a nasty quake added up to a painful lesson. Yet if health were better we’d jump straight back to straw bale again… I would strongly encourage you to build with straw bale! We built some years back..think there were only three bale homes here in Arkansas at the time…techniques have grown, design changed, new ideas are out there. Just do good research, and go for it! Hope this helps .
Just to give the heads up! I saw in one of your other videos that you were using adaptogens daily. While it's great to see you taking your healthy into your own hands it's been observed that adaptogens start to lose effect when you use them daily for a prolonged period of time, and some of the side effects of regular use are not always super great. I tend to use them on the busiest 3 days of my week. Now, if you were to take grean tea on a daily basis, and then accompany it with the occasional adaptogen, as a bolstering aspect you could very well find yourself looking at a work around for time. Especially if you were adding super-potent natural enzyhmes like the ones you're growing. I'd recommend you look into the potent benefits of stinging nettles. In a tea they make for a fantastic source of vitamin C, which the body largely seems to consider the root of healing. Also Pin Needle tea makes for a potent balm with an enormous list of benefits. I know you're likely aware, being so well read in the area. I thought I'd give the heads up though! BEcause of the likelihood that you're looking at local specimen. ^^ I was excited to hear about your new adaptogen though! I'm going to investigate right now! Thanks for the pro tip!

I love the lifestyle and the path that you have chosen to walk, as I sit here at my place of employment I think about the lifestyle my wife and I have created at home for our children, we are all so caught up in this system especially the children, that you feel they will never Escape oh, I tried to teach my kids that there's a whole different side of life out there not just the nine-to-five, forget this system find your own path to walk and love life everyday, because planning the future with retirement as the goal is a horrible way to live your whole life hoping to enjoy the last titbit
One thing I found profound with your story and the devastation of the library is that: The ancient Druids considered it profane to record their teachings in writing. All of their teachings were handed down by spoken word in verses or stories and here you are handing down your teachings in spoken word and verses.
I live in sweden and i plan to buy 200 ha. I dont know much books tho about herbs that grow here. If anyone knows books about this region of the world please send me recomendations.
