Video I made about the Battle of Britain for an English class. Includes songs "We'll Meet Again by Vera Lynn" and "Goodbye Blue Sky" by Pink Floyd. Don't sue me, I'm a poor college student.
wow, i really love this video. you're such a good video editor! the pink floyd part was AWESOME. (well i loved the first part, too, but you know how i love pink floyd tooo!)
@Francis1930 Actually, it is a 4hp "Motor Syren" built by Gents Of Leicester. Carters of Burnley built industrial sirens post-WW2, but the term "Carter" is applied to any UK dual-tone horizontal siren. I was told this by a contact of mine who has restored one of the models as shown in the video- see the build-plate!
@Francis1930 You need to chill out, my man. Personal issues aside, I was merely stating information for the siren enthusiasts who DO wish to know this information. The comment was not a personal "dig", it was purely in reply to the original comment.
the word is siren not siren - that is an americanisim! but god do I love the sound of them you certainly know if there is a problem -like the ruskies flying into British airspace

Having "been there" during the blitz in London 1940 - 1942 I can tell you for a fact that the siren is a Carter Gents siren.
Nice video....one small criticism.....the air raid siren was sounding the 'All Clear' not the alert!
Thanks for the Vera Lynn song. She's still alive today!
Nice audio of the tbolt
That's audio of a carter, not a tbolt
blue10AEMia is right this is a fluted carter gents of leicester siren at the end not a tbolt they look completely different
