- As we move into the summer, Havana's population in the ghettos suffer from a lack of basics. We will return to the streets of Centro Habana to experience the streets and get a taste of what its' like to be local.... Lets go!!!!!!!!
Thank you as always for looking out after Mr. Jefferson. There’s nothing more important than helping good people 🌞
Thanks Ronny! I agree, I think its what life is about..... + Rum and beautiful women.
@@KeenanLambert198 you got that right brother!
I wish that someone with alot of money bless Cuba with Clean Fresh Water... so much money in the world
What Cuba needs is a Chinese auto company to open up factories in Cuba.... Taking advantage of the low labor cost. I would give them their own factory complex about an hour east of Havana + a port.... They could manufacture cars at a faction of what they cost in the US and China..... And flood the U.S., Canadian and Caribbean market with cheap vehicles....
Yeah think they picked the wrong ally. Russia isn’t going to do that
@@KeenanLambert198That wouldn’t happen bro. Good to wish, but the reality is quite different. These people have been living under a biting U.S. EMBARGO that has caused them more than $300 billion USD, according to their statistics. The entire world is asking the U.S. to get their feet off of the necks of these people. What is their crime against the U.S.?
BYD is the largest electric car manufacturer in the world. A Chinese company. America just recently imposed a 100 percent tariff against the Chinese manufacturer. You think China can now set up a factory in Cuba and export to the U.S.? Again, is ok to dream.
Take care…
@@KeenanLambert198 WHAT CUBA NEEDS IS AMERICA TO STOP IT'S EMBARGO DRIVING THE COUNTRY INTO POVERTY.
If the car is "manufactured" by the Mexican subsidiary then it gets by via NAFTA? Si?

Man you are doing great work. Thank for everything you do bro. Me and my dad enjoyed helping the Cuban people thanks to you

Your warm heart and kindness to the locals is mind blowing. May God keep you safe and prosperous. I have to visit Cuba someday.

Keenan, I got the same affliction you now have many years ago, Cuba Fever!
Mariachi Music: Mostly out "En el Campo" (in the countryside), the Cubans love and listen to Mariachi music. There are many Mariachi bands that perform for parties, weddings and 'Quinceaneras" (the celebration when a girl turns 15, the transformation from childhood to being a young woman). These bands are comprised of world-class musicians and singers and often (I think) do a much better job musically than their Mexican counterparts.
The song you past-by listening to is heard all over the island. It is Vicente Fernandez's famous song "El Rey". The lyrics speak of an enduring, hopeful pride in spite of hard times, he is a king without money, a queen or a throne:
"With money or without money...
I always do what I want, my word is my law.
I have no throne or queen,
nor anyone who understands me
...BUT I AM STILL KING!"
Mr. Jefferson: He said he has Giardia Lamblia or "Giardiasis", a gastrointestinal disease caused by a parasite which you usually get from a dirty water source or, another infected person (hope you washed your hands, Keenan). It causes diahria but has other symptoms as well. Mr Jefferson wasn't asking for food, he was saying the illness takes away his appetite...so, he doesn't eat much.
Considering they walk and bicycle a lot in a very hot country, the Cubans do not drink nearly enough water. Nearly all of them will, sooner or later, suffer lower back pain, which of course usually means their kidneys are not doing well. They try to boil their water but because they can't afford bottled water, they often drink whaterever they can find. Not a good idea.
Bro you're a great inspiration and humanitarian. Respect every time
Thanks again for always giving quality information. Love to see how the people live. Respect my brother.

I absolutely adore Cuba, overall, and you make me wanna go back like right neooowww! Take me with you next time, ok?! 😩
cuba suffering while they have such a powerful diaspora in Florida, i don't understand why this beautiful country continues to suffer.
The government has to attract large industry to take advantage of the low labor cost... The US is going to hold onto this embargo hard...
The Cubans in America are cubas worst enemy
Top-down governments do that.
¡Que se vayan!
@@jamessitati7396 because that diaspora is the one who insist on keeping up sanctions and the ability of cuba to use the banking system and sanctioning companies who do business with Cuba. If all those were in place and Cuba failed then it would be the leadership. The Americans have back many murderous dictatorships that killed millions, backed an apartheid state times 2 but still sanction cuba

Budapest, the capital of Hungary looked like Havana in terms of dilapidated buildings and so on. Now, after I think 2 decades of being a member of the EU, Budapest is looking like a 1st world city. Havana looks like it could use some serious EU type money from some source. But of course once money starts pouring into the nation things could even change for the worse on a social level. My dream for that part of the world is like in Guyana, Jamaica, Cuba & ALL the Caribbean islands discover massive oil fields in their territorial waters.
Guyana in time will do right by utilizing the oil, gold, bauxite and other resource wealth to uplift the lifestyle of it's citizen....!
I saw the rabbit hutches 20 even years ago in Havana...
Where’s the Los Angeles bar, in Havana?
That was so interesting. I hope the embargo ends in my lifetime. I'd love to see mainland Cubans thrive! Thank you for your great work!!
How come you don’t say; I hope cubans find a way to free themselves from Socialism, from Communism, and from such a cruel dictatorship….?
@@jccuban1Socialism is what brings them good. It’s what brings them high life expectancy, high literacy, low child mortality, low homelessness etc. The only thing keeping back cuba from thriving is the unjustifiable embargo.

They're not happy, they just smile for tourists in order to get some money. It's impossible to be happy with such difficult conditions of life. At this moment, almost every Cuban is trying to get out to another country. Cuba is considered right now by most Cubans as a "prison"
On a scale from 1-10 how dangerous is Havana overall? What city would you compare its safety to? Medelin? Rio? Mexico City? Houston ? Etc

How did you learn Spanish? Classes, total immersion ?
Hey Chris!
Living in NYC I got a chance to practice frequently…. I’ve had fake girlfriends in Puerto Rico, Cuba and Mexico that didn’t speak any English… I’ve had girlfriends who’s parents or grandparents don’t speak English… + Panamanian neighbors that enjoy letting more practice with them.

Love the content but don’t over saturate the market - lots of corny dudes who refuse to learn Spanish going out there now … this ain’t DR or COLOMBIA.
Thanks for the comment.... I don't think we should gate keep Cuba... Russians, Italians and Canadians have ran through the place. Plenty of black Americans are going to Havana now (It's what I want)... Many of them don't speak Spanish and seem to find the inconveniences of Cuba to be a little overwhelming... It takes a culture lover to make Havana a repeat trip.... DR and Colombia are far more convenient for the "johns". Havana is a city of 2.13 million people.... I think there is a lot of room for us all.... Right now is the low season too.....

Hey Keenan. I just left Havana last week. That was my second time there. I love Havana. I took a liking to some children there and I sent them soccer balls. I brought soccer jerseys, clothes, shoes and toys this trip last week. I came back and posted on facebook that I’m taking donations for Cuba. I have accumulated a van load of stuff filled to the top. I’m having a problem finding some company to ship it to Havana. Help.
Have you seen any military action in Cuba, scary to me seeing warships enter the Cuban waters
It's all for show, I saw them 4 years ago when I was there
Hate to be this guy. But the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd world designation is from the Cold War. Capitalism and communism 1 &2. The 3rd world is in between or neither. Cuba is technically a 2nd world country. Love it though.
Technically, you are 1000% correct. However, since the conclusion of the Cold War… “3rd world” has been used as terminology to indicate economic or political turmoil within a nation…
I want to come for two week where can I get fresh fish to eat while I’m there?

God Bless you brother. President Biden should listen to President Obama and normalize relations with Cuba.
na man the video title is disrespectful as hell brother....not cool as a cuban i feel mad violated
The title is an attention grabber…. You know that
No disrespect to the Cuban people…. Ever
If capitalism was so great, why would the US have to sanction Cuba? If communism was so bad, why don’t they allow communism to be a disaster on its own merit. It’s because Cuba has enough natural resources they could sell and trade with other countries and prosper, but you forbade countries from trading with them, you have the finger on the scale of free enterprise.
If communism was so great then why didn't the USSR or China subsidize for what America wasn't paying
The former USSR literally threw $1m every DAY to support the Cuban regime, up until Gorby was removed in 1991. In return Cuba supplied sugarcane. And hotels. Since then Cuba trades with the EU, China and India. So my question is....if Cuba is actively trading with all of these countries, how can the US embargo be inflicting so much pain (answer: it really isn't. The reason Cuba is suffering is due to years of economic mismanagement and government cadres milking the system).
First of all Cuba is a Socialist country not communist the fact you dont even know the difference shows how uneducated you are on this topic. Second of all Cuba or should I say the Cuban regime trades with the world you can look up their main trading partners, now you might be wondering if Cuba does trade and the embargo is an excuse then really what is limiting Cuba? Socialism and the Castro Regime, if Cuba were to have a free market economy like all the 1st world developed nations instead of being a cold war north korea military dynasty aswell as upholding the constitution of 1940 then you would see change in the country.
@@klawlor3659 And all that money is going to the Cuban Regimes pockets which there are videos of Fidels grandson I believe in a mercedes.
@@tiago310 Cuba is a socialist state, in which the role of the Communist Party is still enshrined in the Constitution. Cuba is actually an authoritarian government where political opposition is not permitted.
