I expected Havana's night scene to be tame and conservative, however, upon arrival on the dim lit streets of Centro Habana I realized I was in for a treat. The people of Cuba are beautiful and have endured many hardships, yet they come together at night to celebrate their bright culture. In most places in Latin America I can blend in - However, my camera and intense generosity exposed me as a foreigner.

What city the guy visited in Cuba?
It is not the same, Cuba. The country is in total crisis and has the second highest inflation in the world, second only to Venezuela. People spend 4 days in a row to buy. and they generally don't know what is coming to sell at the supermarket. Cuba is currently experiencing a silent civil war of the 65 million blacks against the white racists who work in those tourist places. And the black Uncle Toms who are the police and the army in charge of all the repression and abuses against the population.
The Jamaican and Caribbean students left 3 years ago because we began to see them as racists complicit in the suffering of the Cuban people. Malcon x and Cuban Martin Luter king are both in jail on hunger strike. And you blacks in the US are other racists complicit with the communists. Your money is being used to build more prisons, more concentration camps, where black children are being incarcerated, and the world's largest per capita black prison population.
The whites from the US stopped visiting Cuba, because you have to be an idiot not to know the hell Cubans are living in. The most violent blacks in the world are Cubans. Of course, they haven't come out to fight because they don't have weapons and Castro's assassins are armed to the teeth. But that's not going to stop them. He is regrouping together with the army. Before the bolcan erupts everything seems to be calm.
Let's see, the white girl did hang out with the pimps. The black girl is friends with the jinetero who speaks English (who is not a pimp), because that is not her business. His thing is to walk with you, 1- Take care of yourself 2- sell you tobacco, rum and get your tip. 3- With him and with the black girl you will be well taken care of. With the drunk white girl, you could be in danger, because she hung out with the pimps, and besides the pimps are colleagues of the police who are tremendous criminals.
You are in an area that is full of tourists and you are the responsibility of the boy who speaks English and who is appearing in your videos, because if something happens to you, they are the first that the police will go looking for (And believe me, it is better let the FBI look for you, and not the Cuban police for assaulting a tourist). You are very safe with the people you walk around.

My friend, they were not fighting over YOU…they are fighting over your money. Big difference. I’m an American and a frequent visitor to Cuba. I can see that you’re an educated man…regardless of the fact that you were playing with fire here and never knew it.
These people that you were with are not your friends, they are “Jineteros”, translates to “Jockeys”. Only in this case they ride the tourists.
Look, some of the girls are just trying to survive while their keepers (the men) are often “Chulos” or, Pimps (to you and me). Perhaps your cameraman was watching over you, but so were these Chulos.
For the men who are watching your video, you cannot believe how fantastically dangerous it is to do this kind of thing these days. Cuba is spiraling downward economically while crime is trending upward. If you’re lucky they will just spike your drink and rob you. Others have not been so fortunate.
BE VERY CAREFUL IN HAVANA. Now, more than ever. Travel in pairs at night. Getting stupid-drunk only helps your potential attackers.
The back story behind this video is a video in itself…. I wised up to the game being played and played back.
As a female who travels alone frequently, I watched this video in a sorta similar way as well. I would never trust those women or think they were into me. I'd think they can even be "playing drunk" more than they are, and have men working with them to rob ya later when you are drunk and hanging out with the girls. No matter if you're a man or woman of traveling alone in another country it is not the smartest thing to get drunk with locals IMO. It's their language, their territory.
You're really treating "them" as sub-human, no need to assume the worst about an entire group of people.

This was my first trip to Cuba and I wanted to get as close to the socioeconomic bottom of Cuba to have a good time and make good videos…. The women as always are a part of the scenery…. I didn’t necessarily want them but I recognized they would transform the video from good to fun and give me some insight into life in Cuba….

You have a good time, but the truth this is still a communists country and the people do what ever they can to survive . Women giving themselves away for little money has become a way of life for many. If you would get out of the tourist area , you will see the proverty level. Rationed food, medicine. I have family still living there. Sad to see that my homeland has not skaken of the grip of communists while here in America it is being welcomed slowly !

Women give themselves away, homeless is sleeping in tents, they have to beg for food, medical care isn’t available…this is in NY, Atlanta, Houston and many more cities in the US.

As an avid traveler, I do my homework or recon before getting embedded in the local life in any country. Additionally, I stay aware of my surroundings as I do in the streets of the South Bronx, Compton, Memphis, etc!! Keenan does his recon also so please don't take what you see as him being naive, he is aware of his surrounding....most of the time, wink-wink!!!

Yes, you can definitely blend in in South America with your face features! But what gives it away most of the times with American men is how you guys walk. The demeanor gives it away. Now, once the women hear you speaking in English or see "touristy" signs, they'll come to you for your money or for your green card, trust me. A lot of guys get scammed for thinking they're being treated like that for being special. No, sir. The women know tourist men are naive about that so they capitalize on that.
I'm just getting back from filming another round of videos. I was able to pass for a Cubano in Vedado - Until I opened my mouth lmaoooo. In Cayo Hueso, I stood out like a sore thumb!

There are broadly three levels of understanding for a tourist in cuba
1) no understanding at all and gets played by everyone (can still have a good time though). Met lots or girls, bought lots of people drinks, bought lots of tourist stuff. 😂
2) wised up tourist who can spot and stop Cubans gaming on them. Good but will be quieter experience overall. (Cubans not happy)
3) wised up tourists who allows Cubans to run their games on him to point. But is still in control. Because then both parties get what they want . Party back on 🎉🎉🎉

Yes, Havana is crazy. I've been to cuba 8 times now. I'm a 70 year old white guy. It's very disorienting to have beautiful women throwing themselves at you, and yes fighting over you. . I have a gorgeous girlfriend there and I support her and her poor family. I think that im now seen as her dad and the family friend.
I'm much more buttoned down now when I walk around there. As a gringo , I attract far too much attention. I now realize that I am seen as money and maybe a ticket out.
You can never sort out if you are liked for who you are. But, hey , it's still fun to have a hottie Latina giving you the eye and inviting you over to her room! After being considered a zero here in the states, I am just a stupid man... after all. I still love Cuba.

Great video. I think I missed an opportunity in life on my probably only trip to Cuba. I did not go to Havana. I just stayed in Varadero - a beach resort. A real missed opportunity because most times I am in the Caribbean I feel obliged to go to the island where my parents are from - Jamaica.

@@KeenanLambert198 Yes, brethren. I think round trip flights from Amsterdam to Havana are about €600, so not too bad. That is excluding of your accommodation and other expenses. Caribbean-wise, some of the other islands are more of a priority for me. Islands like Antigua and Barbados, St Vincent, St Kitts is a must to visit one. Already been to Aruba/Curacao and Trinidad and Tobago. Will never go to T&T again - got robbed on the street three times in one day during their carnival a few years back - bay tief down deh.
Avoid Varedero - stayed 1 night before I moved on. Tourist trap, over priced - the equivalent of Cancun in Mexico where I did not even stay 1 night.

Women are not constrained by the same social rules that exist in other parts of the West. The reason I didn’t cut stuff out is that Cuba is very different from other places and I wanted y’all to experience it with me.
