There are many skills and personality which a child develop while in school which a home schooling cannot provide. some good aspects of normal schooling cant be overshadowed by home schooling.
@@AnkitSharma-ph9kx get the child into sports academies and literary clubs that will take care of team work and social life, conventional schools are either ill equipped or make kids snobs which takes serious unlearning to overcome. I have yet to meet someone who has learnt more in school than the playground,,youtube and friends who share common interests.
I'm 58, my wife and I are worried about the future, gas and food prices rising daily, we've had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere and finding it impossible to replace it, we can get by but cant seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 40years nonstop just for a crooked system to take back!

I would love to try this life out. I’ve taken my company completely remote and can manage my business from any corner of world. However two important reasons that pull me back. 1. My parents and brother’s comfort zone - I’m sure in your case your parents would probably be flexible to meet and stay with you in Goa. So that part is sorted. 2. Kid’s education - I thought of doing home schooling for my kid like you however this is where the key problem lies. Social skills and stability. For kids to form friends and grow and learn from each other through osmosis it takes time. If kid is regularly shifting to new surrounding, it would be hard for him to get familiar to a geography and build meaningful relationship with people in life. As much as I would love to fill in the rolls of friend, brother, competitor etc. I’ll not be able to justice to it and neither would my wife. After lot of thought and planning we decided to pass this opportunity of regular migration in favour of giving cushion to my kid. What are your thoughts on it? Especially from psychological development of child’s point of view. It can encourage me or my wife to rethink of our plans. And thanks for transparently putting thoughts out for audience every time.

Goa is beautiful n very safe. Don't buy plots near beach area as rates r more. N water levels are rising. Live where locals live n not where there is tomuch artificial life

Hey, we considered home schooling for our kid for a long time, there are two factors that made us decide against it. The first one is that kids learn a lot by meeting n interacting with other kids, including kids across age brackets. Finding this space n opportunity outside schools is difficult for obvious reasons. Secondly, while it may be easier to home school a kid in the initial years, the sheer specialization (and infrastructure too) required to educate kid is significant. Kids post class 8th also hit puberty and a stable school environment takes care of lot of issues. If one can find ways of addressing these issues, the freedom that you get in return is, for sure, quite valuable. However, our personal experience is different, primarily because of the need for quality education for our kid. All the best, for now your kid is quite young, ask a parent of a kid who is preparing for JEE or NEET about nomad life ;-)

Within one day from Edaplly traffic he go back, I suggest Calicut or Thrissur, both having good facilities including airport access, beach , hospitality, less traffic and affordable houses as well..

Beuatiful house & peaceful place. Cheers and all the best. Goa is indeed a beautiful place, but most importantly the local Goan populace are lovely too & quite peaceful. The only issue I find, is when rich outsiders, esp from Delhi / North India start treating Goa like it's their playground, try to make it a Goan version of their culture and don't integrate with the local people & culture. When you are in a different place, the best way to enjoy it is mingling with the local populace & experiencing their food, their culture. Good on you to have your son learn Portugues & Spanish. Also Mandarin is a good language to learn from a professional angle.

Please make video on your WFH experience in Goa. Esp on internet, internet speed. How the environment was during pandemic? Esp, buying groceries. Outdoor activities for children? During pandemic and after pandemic. Again preparing for the future as WHO has declared MONKEYPOX as national health issue in US. What are current outdoor activities? What are good family and kid friendly areas to rent/buy properties in Goa? If you mention property index, would be better. Electricity issues if any? How are you keeping up with drinking water? Or are you buying packaged water?
Internet speed is bad in cities itself. If u move in villages, some villages don't have proper mobile coverage, forget internet. Electricity in villages is gone for couple of days and locals fight with politicians for the same. Groceries is comparable to other cities but online shopping and delivery is not available for groceries. During pandemic its dull here, as ppl are low on money. So stay where u r and enjoy. Goa is good for holidays.

Hey, we considered home schooling for our kid for a long time, there are two factors that made us decide against it. The first one is that kids learn a lot by meeting n interacting with other kids, including kids across age brackets. Finding this space n opportunity outside schools is difficult for obvious reasons. Secondly, while it may be easier to home school a kid in the initial years, the sheer specialization (and infrastructure too) required to educate kid is significant. Kids post class 8th also hit puberty and a stable school environment takes care of lot of issues.
If one can find ways of addressing these issues, the freedom that you get in return is, for sure, quite valuable. However, our personal experience is different, primarily because of the need for quality education for our kid.
All the best, for now your kid is quite young, ask a parent of a kid who is preparing for JEE or NEET about nomad life ;-)

Beuatiful house & peaceful place. Cheers and all the best. Goa is indeed a beautiful place, but most importantly the local Goan populace are lovely too & quite peaceful. The only issue I find, is when rich outsiders, esp from Delhi / North India start treating Goa like it's their playground, try to make it a Goan version of their culture and don't integrate with the local people & culture. When you are in a different place, the best way to enjoy it is mingling with the local populace & experiencing their food, their culture. Good on you to have your son learn Portugues & Spanish. Also Mandarin is a good language to learn from a professional angle.

Please make video on your WFH experience in Goa. Esp on internet, internet speed. How the environment was during pandemic? Esp, buying groceries. Outdoor activities for children? During pandemic and after pandemic.
Again preparing for the future as WHO has declared MONKEYPOX as national health issue in US. What are current outdoor activities? What are good family and kid friendly areas to rent/buy properties in Goa? If you mention property index, would be better. Electricity issues if any? How are you keeping up with drinking water? Or are you buying packaged water?
Internet speed is bad in cities itself. If u move in villages, some villages don't have proper mobile coverage, forget internet. Electricity in villages is gone for couple of days and locals fight with politicians for the same. Groceries is comparable to other cities but online shopping and delivery is not available for groceries. During pandemic its dull here, as ppl are low on money. So stay where u r and enjoy. Goa is good for holidays.
