Old school Megadeth fan here from the 80's. I love that you're playing a song that none of you were even alive when it came out. I happen to think rust in peace is the best album they ever put out. It's so great to see gen z playing this type of highly technical metal from the early 90's
Goes to show you there’s tons of kids who don’t want what’s being served on the menu in today’s musical landscape. They’re is a real hunger for real musicians who play real instruments
I remember playing a couple of talent shows in high school my junior and sr years. I ended up touring and playing tons of shows in the 2000’s, this brings back memories 😂 hope these dudes love for playing live metal music keeps going
So strange to see schoolmates so excited about this. You were pretty much picked on and called all sorts of names for listening to metal in my highschool, about 12-13 years ago.
I disagree I think he is to low in the mix and I don't think he's trying to sound like Dave he's young he's probably trying to sing like a d jent band..
@@dalegribble9101 if your only counterargument is my spelling then you have no counterargument. You're probably the singer's alt account the way you're slobbing on his knob
Loved this song for about 32 years. It's great to hear people still playing it live. Whole band is awesome. Guitarist is very good for pulling off all guitar parts and nuisances in the original recording.
Great job. All of you...singer has his own personality and he s still too young. Don't hear the stupid comments. Greetings from Argentina , the second megadeth home.
Great cover! Watching the singer and lead guitarist interaction...they might as well have hid the drummer and bassist behind the curtain. Minus the solo the bass is just as if not more technical. That song always gives me goosebumps
The vocals need work, but as a whole this is one of the more entertaining talent show band videos I've seen. Maybe the most entertaining just due to the singer and guitarist's stage presence. Great job guys keep at it!
@@jacobhealy8659 Ah...I have the 50 watt, was curious if that was a Katana. Impressive sound out of the amp. Was that straight amps or are they plugged into a board? If not, impressive sound quality. Is that a Schecter (hard to see headstock)? Great song choice, and sounded great!
@@jeremycarlson1189looks like a schecter shape more than a Jackson. I have a Jackson and it’s more narrow body and the headstock is more pointy. Ibanez can be 100% ruled out because there is no middle single coil
drummer very solid, guitarist alright(6,5/10), have shitty headphones so I can't hear the bass well, singer 4/10 (nice how he feels the music but lack of skill imo), amazing stage presence from guitarist and singer, good stage presence from drummer and man the bassist looks like he doesn't wanna be there lol. Overall I'd give that performance a 5/10 if I were to judge them professionally, for a highschool talent show I'll give an 8/10. Holy wars is a very difficult song. Good job guys, keep it up
Great job guys! Guitar player rocked! Singer actually has some really solid potential, but just needs some good vocal training. You guys might have something here. Write some originals and get out there and rock!
From what I can make out only by the video, the vocalist is overdoing it on the presence but not on the actual vocals. If he works on the singing he can be a great frontman just needs improvement.
Dude this was sick. Guitarist has my respect. Feel bad for the singer tho. Getting too much flak. All he needs to do is sing higher on the octave. He has what he needs otherwise. Drummer was solid, so was the bassist.
Guitarist did a great job trying to do both guitar parts
Quite impressive guitar skills.
He also did his best at distracting us from how overwhelmingly cringey the vocalist was.
The vocalist was there for the popular vote
I knew from the get go.
Every guitarist knows how hard it is to play this song on just one guitar, the guy was amazing, everyone was amazing🙌
Bro how can he not sound like Dave Mustaine it’s easy
Yeah vocals are not the best but they tried 😂
Ong, I love doing a Dave impression bc it’s so easy
He's singing an octave lower. It sounds kind of weak.
Ong kid managed to hype himself up the whole beginning and then it went to crap as soon as he opened his mouth😂😂
Dave sounds better 💀

Just like Dave?
@@timfennis91 even dave sings better
2:55 I like how he has to calm down a bit to actually do the solo

My opinion the guitarist is the true metalhead among them
So strange to see schoolmates so excited about this. You were pretty much picked on and called all sorts of names for listening to metal in my highschool, about 12-13 years ago.
Same here and im a freshman so I'm living it as we speak

Those vox really screwed it up.. everything else was awesome
The guitarist KILLED IT!!!👏👏👏👏👏
i love that he did like 3 accidental pinch harmonics
That lead guitarist is awesome! Overall a great show. Keep up the great work
drummer was so clean, loved the whole show
Singer could have been more in to it. He sounded flat but overall pretty good.
He sounds like he’s straining to reach those notes
@@andick00 You’re fucking right 😭😭

Excellent job! Nice to know that Metal has a future with the younger generation! Holy Wars is NOT an easy song...well done!
My dream is to play it live one day at my school, even if it's as rhythm guitar because I'm not that good with solos
Great job lads.
Love the lead singers moves and energy during the intro, Brian Johnson vibes.
He just looked purposeless

Amazing kids!!
Love it, coolest kids in school.
Excellent performance! Most adults couldn’t pull that off so it’s special seeing you guys do it so young!
Damn! These kids are good.
Mr. Healy your time on that guitar is not without recognition! F*ing awesome! Been a huge Mustaine fan since 1986! You killed it!
Bro that guitarist is insane
Hooooly shish, this guys have lot of energy, hope they’ll be popular soon
i wish you could hear the bass more
Yeh it felt like I was listening to And Justice For All... I couldn't hear the bass at all.
There is hope for the future.
I keep coming back to this it's so beautiful
dave would be proud
I'm really impressed.
I wish I went to a high school where people appreciated Megadeth lol. Pretty good cover!
Amazing song
i also love that the singer was doing elvis presley moves
kicks ass! nice job dudes!

Amazing!!!
This is awesome!! These young men kick ass !! And play the song Holly wars perfect! So good to see young metal being played! Rock on little brothers👍

Like all bands, the guitarist and lead singer getting all the glory 😅
bro... the vocal
Guarantee some kid with an acoustic singing wonderwall still won
Watching the vocalist now i can dance to the song
Ficou muito massa, o guitar da banda tocou melhor que muitos praticantes de longa data ai.
When is another song coming out
The vocals dude pisses me off. Other than that these lads were amazing!

The singer has no skill but the band was really good!
ong the vocals sucked
imo he looks like he doesn't even know megadeth and is just there to get reputation around his school
@@enigmazero6797 exactly my thought.
The vocalist definitely only joined for that gig to get more popular😭
ok this guy is the first one that i see that can sing even worse than dave, that must be some talent
Cool... What guitar processor did you use?
