this solved my 6 month long apathy, I knew something was up but my blood was tested on almost everything on the entire labform, but they don't do iodine blood tests, now when I started supplementing iodine on my own after trying dozens of things beacause my doctors thought I was becoming crazy and made up a problem, I became alive after 3 days, crazy... thank you so much, I've lost a lot of confidence in medical professionals that's for sure...
Can you please explain what you mean by “alive”? What improved for you? I’ve been tested in several ways and my iodine has been low each time.
I walked into a pharmacy/drug store (chancy drugs) today and asked for dietary iodine. Pharmacist said she had no idea that iodine was taken orally. I asked her if she ever heard of iodized salt. She looked at me puzzled and confused. I stated that I was in the wrong place and walked out the door.

The most toxic thing in our environment is the healthcare $$$ industry.
We no longer have doctors. We have care takers that push big pharma drugs. I stopped taking all 13 prescriptions and started healing myself. I haven’t felt this good in a very long time. Amazing what iodine does for the body. I’ve learned to listen to my body.
Greetings from Portugal. My wife at age 23 started having breast lumps ..... put her on Iodine (kelp) and after a few days,
those lumps were gone. Today at 59, she is still having Kelp and still no problems...!!! Great video.
Kelp as a supplement?
It’s seaweed but can also be purchased as a supplement.
Yes thyroid
I have Hashimoto’s, what’s so jacked up is the same symptoms of Hashimoto’s is the exact same as low iodine! I started off with very low vitamin D (clear signs) I was very tired, and hair coming out thinning, gaining weight, cold, and I found out the knee reflex doesn’t work as well ( I had this for many years!) my breast were sore, I was depressed, didn’t have a period unless I took folic acid… they never tested my iodine! I had to nearly fight to get my Thyroid tested for Hashimoto… because my labs were coming back normal. When I say the medical field failed me… they failed me! I was told I was older and this comes with aging. I was 37. I’m on the medication but I want to be healed!!! 🙄
Another expert on Iodine is Dr. David Brownstein who also talks about Hashimoto's. He has written several books about the topic of iodine.
I'm only half into this video and it is very informative.
I just wanted to bring up Dr. Brownstein as another source and someone who has worked with thousands of people in regards to this.
It's so important to educate ourselves and work with practitioners who are iodine literate as Dr. Brownstein puts it.
All the best to you!

The medical system has failed you if you're not healthy. Look around. Everyone is taking meds. Think about that. Everyone is sick.
Thanks to you, I weaned myself off my Thyroid NP. Decreased my dose to “half” months ago, have been gluten free, and have not taken my med in 2 months. Had my yearly labs done 2 weeks ago, and ALL my thyroid labs TSH, T3, T4, autoimmune, within normal limits! I am so excited 😊💕🙏

If I used iodinized salt and ate salt water fish each day my iodine intake would be less than 1mg per day. Our body has about 1500mg of which up to 50mg is stored in the thyroid. Other iodine storage areas are breasts saliva glands and ovaries which also make T2. We urinate excess iodine. Your 12.5 mg per day is excellent. The breasts store iodine but the thyroid needs iodide. Lugols is a good supplementation. Iodine was being used to cure goiter in the 1800s. Doctors in the 1970s were using 400mg three times per day Super Saturated iodine for patients in the hospital. Goiter is from low iodine. Hashimotos is low iodine and low selenium, B2, B3 possibly. If your doctor only test TSH T4 T3 ask for an iodine test. Low iodine results in breast and ovary cysts which can turn cancerous. There is a pandemic of deficient vitamin D and iodine.
Thank you
Can you tell me if it was the iodine supplement in Liquid Kelp 800 mcg one drop in my palm for dupuytrens , that made me weak!!! 4 days only. For a week before that I took boron. I’ve stopped everything. Like d3… k2. That’s all.
I took 5% Lugol's iodine five days a week for a year, applying it to my stomach, nails, throat, and everywhere else, and it worked really well for me. However, at the end of the year, I developed large lymph nodes in my throat, under my jaw, and around my ears, as well as near the trachea. I experience a burning sensation in my throat whenever Lugol's iodine touches it. It swells more and never goes down. Killing good bacteria and allowing bad ones to multiply, causing an infection in my salivary glands. I have used many antibiotics, but it never goes away. And in the last three months, five thyroid nodules suddenly appeared. We also applied 2% Lugol's iodine to my son and had him gargle with it, and he developed black rashes on his legs, his teeth decayed, white lines appeared on his nails, and his throat lymph nodes became very hard. What is 'T2'? I have developed problems in my salivary glands and breasts after using iodine. Do you know how to fix this with 'T2'?
Thanks for the complete dump of your summary of best iodine tips!!
@@ozge4039I am not a functional doctor. Sounds like you used way too much iodine. I took 2% lugols drops up to 4-5 drops most days for several months. I felt better and had good results. That would be much less concentration than you took daily. I took mine internally even tho bottle said not to. My decision was based on many comments by helpful people in good YT videos.
Hello. The reason they used iodine after the Cernobal catastrophe was to saturate the glands with iodine so they will not absorbed high amount of radiation.

@@carolcole570 I've been slowly ramping up iodine for two months now. I'm up to 32.5 mg. It's playing havoc with my sinuses, which is one of the symptoms mentioned in The Iodine Crisis book. When I was in my 30s I was told I needed a mammogram every year even though there was no breast cancer in my family. Thinking doctors knew everything I did what I was told. My dog began pushing his nose deep inside my breast. So when I went in for my mammogram I told them, I think there’s something in there. They didn’t see anything on the mammogram because my breasts are too dense. My first thought that is why am I getting one of these every year?
So then they did an ultrasound and found a lump about the size of a plum. Said it was benign. Course they wanted to cut it out so I went to a naturopath. He had me take five drops of Lugol’s iodine daily Within two months the tumor has shrunk. I’ve been taking 3 to 4 drops daily for the last 15 years. All my thyroid tests come out normal. I have discovered that this is to help counteract radiation. Not saying everybody should do this but it’s not harming me.

HIGH OXALATE diet and people who make oxalates due to B1 B2 B3 B6 deficiency - oxalates blocks iodine uptake. I developed a goiter eating those foods. I was diagnosed with Graves and copper helped right away for the anxiety. I would love to hear more about copper “regulating” thyroid 😊
I've read that Soy increases copper uptake - too much isn't good either.
Yep! I believed the lies and ate a high oxalate diet for a decade. Those superfoods were far from being superfoods.🙄 Went Carnivore 4 1/2yrs ago. After 3yrs, my allergies of 48yrs disappeared, then I had a wicked oxalate dumping weekend, but beautiful once on the other side. Now I'm upping my Lugol's iodine, as I'm listening to every interview with Dr. Elizabeth Bright I can find. Search for Morley Robbins on YT. He's a huge proponent of what a lack of copper does to the body, as well as iron overload causing many of our problems.
Chlorine neutralises / destroys iodine . It's in our drinking water to destroy bacteria. It's in our swimming pools for the same reason. Do your own research..

Hi from NC. Diagnosed , self treating diet and 2 drops Lugol , and Vit C,and. Selenium,
I got a doctor's appointment with a new doctor. I'm 65 years old went through menopause 15 years ago and I'm still having horrifying hot flashes off the top of my head so bad that the sweat drips off the end of my shoulder length hair. Handheld fan that sprays water is the only thing that will saves me. Dr kept saying blood tests are normal. My medication has not been changed in 15 years. I believe I'm being overmedicated. When I told my doctor that I would like to go to a thyroid specialist she acted insulted. Set the blood tests were within range and I was just fine. I do not take pills if I don't have to, not even an aspirin. One time after I've been begging her for sleeping pills and she would not prescribe them for me and told me to just take melatonin. Finally after 4 days of not sleeping her nurse practitioner went ahead and prescribed me some sleeping pills. Great I'm on another pill. At least I won't die from lack of sleep. Getting some sleep but not much because I got to wake up so I won't soak my pillow with sweat and have to lay back down on it in the middle of the night. I feel for each and every one of you. When you say you have a bad thyroid to somebody who doesn't understand it's like saying you have an ingrown hair. I sure hope my new doctor cares enough to make me have some kind of functional life.
Insomnia won't kill you.
Trust me, I asked my doctor about this when going through covid as I went 4 days on zero sleep with this bloody virus..

Over the years I've learned that I have an unusual metabolism. Salt is a no no though I need a lot of potassium. I've learned that gluten is just a bad thing all the way around so I spent three years developing a gluten free flour that has most all of the proper nutrients and closely resembles whole wheat flour. It has no wheat, rye, barley, almond, coconut, corn, amaranth etc. Rather beans rice and birds seed. This along with meat proteins has helped digestion tremendously. Living inland I finally learned about iodine deficiency. It even effects hair growth. Since the beginning of adding iodine, the decades old symptoms of iodine deficiency are beginning to go away. In hospital settings there are nuclear medicine where one can get a dose of radioactive iodine (RAIU thyroid uptake), and as well in CT one can receive a radiographic contrast (non-radioactive, a nonionic iodinated contrast) which has iodine in the molecule which is used in oral and intravenous administration. There are also providone iodine scrub used in procedures. What makes things difficult is that “iodine” IS found on many patient allergy lists in the hospital computer systems. I wish it wasn’t an option to list as an allergy. Due to lack of knowledge and poor memory of reaction experiences it just keeps living on as an allergy.

Not everyone can handle high dose iodine. Lugol's iodine bout killed me several years ago. So it's not wise to take multiple milligrams of iodine all willy nilly like any other supplement - especially if you have a chronic illness and you're in a weakened state. It's recommended that you work with an iodine educated doctor so you don't accidentally murder yourself. You can thank me later and just take some kelp or if you must use Lugol's iodine, use it externally and know that you'll absorb approximately 8 to 12 percent of said iodine which is orders of magnitude safer than taking Lugol's iodine internally.

I finally dropped the iodine and have regained mt voice and hair has now began growing back. I saw almost immediate improvement in voice an a month or more for hair improvement. I also went through a diet change during this period. I believe I healed my thyroid and no longer need to supplement iodine. I may add back in on a weekly basis rather than daily.
Same thing. My hair shed so bad after iodine. I answer phones at work and the hoarseness is terrible.
Try applying externally. If skin absorbs it quickly, you need it. If it stays orange half the day, you may not. Once weekly is good after you're at optimal level.
I've found that taking kelp keeps my iodine levels good. I tried taking Lugol's internally some years ago and it about killed me, so not everyone needs super high doses to function optimally. Table salt is sodium chloride which raises blood pressure, but sea salt and other healthy salts don’t. Suppliment with iodine and use non contaminated sea salt.
Raises cholesterol as well
Sea salt is also predominately sodium chloride. It’s influence on hypertension is still controversial. It does not raise cholesterol.
Just balance your potassium intake with your sodium intake 3/1 and your hypertension will decrease if not completely go away. When you have too much sodium and not enough potassium, your body thinks you are dehydrated and creates uric acid in order to create inflammation which helps your body retain water. This is what’s causing the majority of sodium related hypertension. Look up “uric acid” for the explanations of this.
Salt is important and it doesn’t raise blood pressure

Yes. Hashimoto.
Yes, 33 years of Hashimoto's! Middle Tennessee Rita ❤
hello, from Seattle. No, but I have asked for the good tests.
Yes. Hoshimotos.
How about swimming in chlorine pools?
SO Central MO.
I have had thyroid symptoms for years but my tests have been low normal.
This last time my Free T4 was 8-- right on the line.
I have had fatigue-varying amounts-- since I had mono at 6. The last 30 years, I've suffered at times with extreme horrific fatigue. I also have fibromyalgia, long covid with O2 24/7.
get EBV anibodies checked, and get DesBio homeopathic....long Haul covaids from march 2020 hellish severe category infection (no shots - that asking for it!), but it reactivated EBV and I never knew I had mono! I'm a nurse though so I picked up a million things in my work, but the mask we then had to wear caused severity. Anyway, check that EBV! The horrific fatigue is awwwwwful and I came from an active, healthy, caffeine-free hyper life...to 'this'....felt like regretting survival but this helped...try it. And do ozone intravenously...you'll hopefully ditch the 02.
Thank you for your time sir.
Australia. Yes Hashimoto's. Would love to get off medication.
