I wouldn't write off Serbia that quickly. They have an amazing basketball culture. Germany can improve a lot as well, not to mention Canada, who was honestly underachieving in this Olympics. The gap officially closed now, and thus it becomes harder and harder for USA to dominate top contesters. Which is a good thing for basketball culture globally.
I like those "old" players but mister Kerr will always play those guys even in 4 years from now, and I really hate it. How can you sit someone like Tatum not one but 2 games? that's embarrassing, he wanted to play only those guys. KD was injured before, doesn't matter Kerr loves him too much and others how have played the whole time can sit on the bench. I'm pretty sure the others would have delivered as well. They're talking about bad defense against Serbia in the semi finals, why don't you bring more defense in? Booker is great on offense but Booker isn't really known for his defense... and there's so much going on in the background per instance the thing with Nike... man what is this?
Tatum's fit was an issue because although he's probably a top 5 talent, there isn't any _one thing_ he does better than everyone else. His two 'mates from the Celtics are better defenders. KD and Booker are more versatile scorers, Steph's The Shooter , while LeBron and TH have better distro. Nothing personal, just a matter of chemistry with this squad. At least he's not Kawhi or JB who got the (Nike) boot-out.
@@shaft9000 you're right and your explanation is great. I still think this just doesn't mean he has to sit 2 games, but lebron or kd would kick Kerr out of the coaching seat, if that would happen to them, and Kerr loves Booker too much... And Tatum's role needs to change. He had to wait in the corner... He's more then capable to orchestrate the offense. But yes it is what it is.
He's a grossly overrated, unathletic "DPOY" who is lost when he has to guard anyone more than 10 feet from the basket. He gets the hate because he keeps getting DPOY votes from media clowns that think blocks are the only thing that defines defense in the NBA.
Definitely Barnes in my opinion would be on that 2028 squad. He can play the 2, 3 or 4 very effectively. I can see him being a starter for sure. I just don’t know what position it will be. All depends on who else is on the team. What we can assume is that Haliburton, Booker, Edwards, Tatum and Bam will most likely be on the team. AD and Embiid possibly could also be on the team depending on how they are doing 4 years from now. I think Lebron, Steph, KD and White won’t be on the team. Maybe KD or Lebron might be up to joining the team as legacy pics depending on how their health is doing. So I’m thinking maybe 4-6 players might be selected to join Team USA. If I had to select 6 players right now I’d say Barnes for sure! Chet and Barnes are locks! Out of the guards I’d say Fox, Brunson or Maxey). I’d say Banchero also. Now I might not select all 3 of the PG’s I named depending on needs but at least 2 of them should make the squad. Then I’d say another wing. Possibly Flagg if he is all as advertised and if he is an all-star caliber player by 2028
USA is still dominant. Steph will be forgotten since he didn’t get MVP despite his performance. USA has been beaten before when supposedly the world talent wasn’t as good. Thus it’s more about what the USA does and not other countries. USA was the heavy favorite so the outcome wasn’t surprising
I actually hate this guy and his terrible Jim Carrey Impersonation. I’m from Toronto Canada and even I know America will never lose If they don’t want to 😂
LeBron is already subject to PED investigations, largely 'unofficial' and informal up to this point. It is just a matter of time whether he get's Barry Bonds treatment or.... not.
If Kobe came back to life and lost 19 straight games in the finals, HE WOULD STILL HAVE A BETTER FINALS RECORD THAN LeFlop. Let that sink in. 23-14 vs 22-33 in the finals.
naaah, I'm a curry fan but it could have gone either way between LBJ and Curry. LBJ impacted each game all the way back to the exhibition. Curry showed up for only 2 games but they were massive. If it would have gone to Curry, that would have been dope but going to LBJ wasn't a snub either.
Let's face it. This upcoming generation is only focus about their money, their social media their outfits not saying that they don't love basketball obviously but we are screwed. If Jason Tatum is our number one option 2028. Though he was bad these stars like Ja Morant Zion Williamson saw that and they for sure don't want to play for USA seeing how the whole Jayelon Brown situation came to fruition.
That’s true, definitely not saying it’s wrong either. Representing the country isn’t their priority. I’d probably do the same thing (minus the social media) if I’m being completely honest with myself.
In 4 years the US might have new young rising stars and cooper Flagg might play and curry might retire after 2028 and KD might retire at 40 and it might be the same team except lebron gone and Jaylen Brunson and JB playing

Other notable players that can be added to the pool: Bridges, Mobley, Suggs, (Jalen) Green, Lamelo, Reaves, Cade. Replacing 3 all time greats of Curry, Durant and Lebron is a tough task given the amount of competition right now and in the future. So hopefully everything will do well with our young players. Got to change our coach. Steve Kerr's rotation is everywhere. Either Spo or Greg. Gold medal will be tough but still doable.

Jokic and Bogdan will also be out of their primes or nearing the end of their primes by then as well. Serbia are not the threat. France is.
This same Serbia team will be there, Jokić is the oldest and he'll be 33 then. Add Topić for a starting PG. How stupid of you to expect LBJ to play in 44 and nobody in Serbia at less then 33.
If they have Patrick Beverly on the 2028 Olympics roster they’re blowing each team out by 70
That’s funny🤣
"they didnt even bring any of those young guys"
They brought Bilal Coulibaly
2028 Team USA roster
PG- Tyrese Haliburton, Ja Morant, Tyrese Maxey
SG- Anthony Edwards, Devin Booker
SF- Jalen Williams, Scottie Barnes
PF- Jayson Tatum, Paolo Banchero, Cooper Flagg
C- Chet Holmgren, Bam Adebayo
Snubs- Brunson, Mitchell, Zion, Mobley, Cade
Brown????
Some un-named future high school star may show up
Probably put Jaylen over J-Dub
@@johnnydepp4866 JDub will be too good by this point and is already one of the most versatile players in the league. Maxey and Flagg would be first cuts for others imo
I like this list we need a beefier 5 to hang with the bigger 5s along with Chet
I’m putting Fox over Morant. Mikal over Williams. And Jackson Jr over Flagg.
Since this guy doesn't do it : Hello from France ! Congratulations ! Well deserved gold, it was an amazing show, I enjoyed this game ! I really hope to see both our team play it out again in LA !
Jayson Tatum just won his first title and dude doesn’t even get a mention-- damn, that’s c-c-cold!!
Also was the second leading scorer in the last Olympics
This olympics showed tatum cant play high iq basketball
wrong league
Dude is just not a superstar, he's a decent all-star when he's not having an off night (50/50 toss up every night).
Plus his resume is closes to the vets now only thing he’s missing is the mvps
The avengers would have lost if the refs didn’t bail them but we ain’t ready for this conversation
I hope Steph shutting this guy up will make him realize he doesn’t know basketball 😂
We can’t even relish the victory before this dude puts this out. And he doesn’t know how good players will be in 4 years. SMH
The LaMelo Ball disrespect is crazy
Bro this guys takes quite literally the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard
This dude is the youtube equivalent to Stephen A Smith
Nail it
I wouldn't write off Serbia that quickly. They have an amazing basketball culture. Germany can improve a lot as well, not to mention Canada, who was honestly underachieving in this Olympics. The gap officially closed now, and thus it becomes harder and harder for USA to dominate top contesters. Which is a good thing for basketball culture globally.
U.S. still has plenty of talent.
Lebron gone. Steph gone. Joel gone as everyone finally stops pretending he’s any good. Kerr gone. Team USA in 4 years is going to be killer
Maxey should be there and haliburton will be back in 2028
Man I just am so confused about what Rudy Gobert did to get the hate he has.
Ikr
He's a grossly overrated, unathletic "DPOY" who is lost when he has to guard anyone more than 10 feet from the basket. He gets the hate because he keeps getting DPOY votes from media clowns that think blocks are the only thing that defines defense in the NBA.
Dont forget that covid issue he did
@@FullContactCoderthen why didn’t wemby win DPOY if they only think blocks matter
They didnt want him to get roy and dpoy @dalton7726
It seems like this guy always looking at situations negatively. At the end of the day, we got gold 🥇
Doesn't even mention Scottie barns. Man is wildin
Trying his hardest to make the 2028 team sound bad😂
Possibly Flagg if he is all as advertised and if he is an all-star caliber player by 2028
I honestly don’t know if Casey be watching basketball
Barnes Canadian ain't it
@@otisbanananutspunkmeyer ... no
In LA they’ll have a mature Edwards, Something to prove Morant. Tatum, Booker Halliburton, BaM, etc
Serbia will always be the biggest treat.
No, 🇫🇷 is the biggest threat because if Wemby stays healthy. He is going to get better, and their players are stacked over there
@@pinbarbecue1100 if jokic stays healthy he can carry another team again
@milliondollarart idk 🇫🇷 looks tough and scary!! Wemby got that 🐕 in him if he was healthy. His team is stacked more than Serbia
@@pinbarbecue1100France never plays organized like Serbia.
You didn’t watch basketball in 2008…
USA is still dominant. Steph will be forgotten since he didn’t get MVP despite his performance. USA has been beaten before when supposedly the world talent wasn’t as good. Thus it’s more about what the USA does and not other countries. USA was the heavy favorite so the outcome wasn’t surprising
It's gonna be a while before we get the payoff but this video is going to age poorly like a lot of your other videos my dude 😅
I actually hate this guy and his terrible Jim Carrey Impersonation. I’m from Toronto Canada and even I know America will never lose If they don’t want to 😂
if lebron is in the 2028 olympics he needs to be investigated
LeBron is already subject to PED investigations, largely 'unofficial' and informal up to this point.
It is just a matter of time whether he get's Barry Bonds treatment or.... not.
He been on drugs since 2008
LeHGH
Yeah no way he plays, that'd be nuts.
Of course we're already crying about the 2028 olympics the day after winning 2024 gold medal.
If Kobe came back to life and lost 19 straight games in the finals, HE WOULD STILL HAVE A BETTER FINALS RECORD THAN LeFlop. Let that sink in.
23-14 vs 22-33 in the finals.
We will always know that. He may be a so called king 👑 but MJ and Kobe are gods of basketball.

The disrespect to Tatum and Brown here is appalling. You really took Mikal Bridges over the reigning Finals MVP. 🤦♂️
They robbed curry of the Olympic mvp. My dude always getting robbed.
tbh it don't matter because the best thing people will remember out of these olympic games is the CHEF
naaah, I'm a curry fan but it could have gone either way between LBJ and Curry. LBJ impacted each game all the way back to the exhibition. Curry showed up for only 2 games but they were massive. If it would have gone to Curry, that would have been dope but going to LBJ wasn't a snub either.
Give MVP to the guy who played the best through out the event
Should have been co-MVP’s
Always? Did I missing something?😅
Wembanyama gonna have a breakout next Olympics
IN 4 YEARS, YOU NEED TO LOOK AT TYRONE MAXEY IN 28! KIDS NO JOKE!
Tyrese…
And you said he was a role player. Don't doubt this man.
What about kyrie ?
In 4 years the US might have new young rising stars and cooper Flagg might play and curry might retire after 2028 and KD might retire at 40 and it might be the same team except lebron gone and Jaylen Brunson and JB playing
France really finna be the best in both football and basketball in a couple of years😮 Edit: I meant one of the best chill out
Serbia finna be even better
Still got the US winning and Spain will have something to say about that in football. I already knew Spain was a contender in the World Cup when they came up short but they just proved they will be ready for the next cup.
Spain is a real problem in footy.
Lmao. Guess you never heard of Spain??
You see Vic's reaction to losing there, he didn't need any more motivation to be great but now he has the struggle arc as a part of his story. Team USA may have created a monster with this and Wemby will be a major problem for the league for years to come.

Saying that Jokic would not be a superstar still 2028....
This is my current pool for 2028 if anything went well without decline, injuries and personal shenanigans.
PG - Morant, Young, Maxey, Haliburton, Brunson
SG - Edwards, Booker, Mitchell, Brown
SF - Tatum, Flagg, Jdub
PF - Banchero, Holmgren, Barnes, Zion
C - Adebayo, Jackson, Davis, Embiid
Guys like Morant, Maxey, Flagg and Zion need to partcipate in the next FIBA tournament to gain exposure.
I'm hoping Edwards, Flagg, Banchero and Holmgren will turn superstar within 4 years.
Our center selection is kinda old compare to other positions. Jaren Jackson is the youngest.
Lebron might try to make it to another Olympics 😅
For the 2028 you had Ja Morant and B Edwards and a couple Halliburton it’s gonna be good. The US team is gonna be very strong actually gonna be stronger. The younger guys are gonna be stronger so we’ll be fine. It’ll be competitive though will be fine.
Why do people insist on insulting Rudy Gobert everytime???? Give that man a Peace!!!!!!
