  • This summer's 2024 Paris Olympics was an absolute story. The journey of the US Men's National Team was highly documented as they were looking to avenge Team USA's defeat against Germany last year in the FIBA Championship.
With names such as LeBron James, Steph Cury, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Joel Embid, Jayson Tatum, Anythony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, Jrue Holiday, and others led by Steve Kerr - this was a big deal.
And it did not disappoint. The games against Serbia and France both will be remembered for the ages and what Steph did in both those games has to beg the question - now that we have seen what he can do around all the alphas in the world - where does he actually rank in All-Time list?
    Let's discuss!

Many others hates play against Stephen for years till they finally play with Stephen in Olympic and they gets what GSW players and fans had been feel like.
This man. You just cannot really HATE. He doesn’t taunting you haters. He taunts the people that doubt him for years. He was told he wasn’t good enough. He was told that he’s not tall enough. He was told many things about bad things to him. He just never gave up. Same time. He’s showing young kids who’s dream to be nba players and you CAN. He never let them say stephen CAN’T. Now kids learn from Stephen. Thats what my dad taught me. Im deaf and my dad always say don’t let them say you can’t. You CAN. Thats how i see it about stephen curry. And best part? Im born in bay area and he’s playing on my favorite team. To me. He is legend period.

Everything that has been said about S. Curry's performance in the Olympic final against France is true. Still, for us, his feat in the last 4 minutes is so unique in sport and has never been produced by any other athlete, it is pure heroism, and the height of courage and audacity deserves a separate trophy other than that of the best shooter or best player of all time, MVP, etc.... Probably the most courageous and combative athlete Basketball has ever seen.

Listen, Steph came into the league looking like he was 12yrs. Old. Little, short, and cute as a button !😂 He has mastered his game like none other. The level he got to many years ago, silicify who he is today. The greatest player that GOD created! Ya'll says what he can not do but never entertain what others can not do like Steph.(and to be honest, I am sick and tired of it!) Steph ‘s character speaks volumes against any other player. He has it all. Yes, great father, husband, son, and brother and he shows special dedication to his fans and community. He’s humble, blessed, and genuine. Steph Curry is the Greatest of All Time and no one can ever say, I’m wrong! Gg❤

It's over, there's nothing more to argue about. The whole world is a witness, there's nothing more for Curry to prove. Everyone bears witness to the greatness and legacy of the one who revolutionized the game of basketball. No matter the criticisms and hate from many in basketball history, it can never be erased that Curry was once underestimated by all of us before he claimed the championship and the gold medal in the Olympics.

For people my age it was always about how he'd do against more physical basketball. This Olympics did it for me. I didn't even have him top 30, but he showed me he can play through it. My son showed me some plays where Curry is off the ball and some clips of Reggie Miller, Mark Price, and Run TMC, and I never realized Curry was playing through physicality the whole time. The guys that have the ball these days dont have to worry about handchecking or even being looked at cause they'll get a foul call. But off the ball the guys are holding him like Mike and Reggie used to hold each other to stop the other from getting the ball. I never realized how much we focus on the guy with the ball, and I feel bad for always saying Ray Allen was a shell of himself because he was always shooting after his injuries. But I need to give credit to my son since I wouldn't have realized all this, and I hope he follows through with his film breakdowns and becomes a good coach one day. And also credit to Stephen Curry, because if he doesn't perform like that, I don't pay attention to what my son is saying about all this stuff.
So now Curry is all the way up in my top 10!

I am too young to have watched Kareem and Magic but I was around and old enough to remember very clearly the era of MJ even if I was young. The impact he had on the game, the culture and the aura he had make him impossible to ever not be the GOAT....especially for kids from my generation who were at an age of wonder when he was re-writing what it meant to be great.
I think the only other 2 players to ever come close to creating that same sort of wonder in the game of basketball are Kobe and Steph. I think LeBron is the second greatest player to date but I don't think he created the same sense of wonder that those other 3 did and I would argue that Steph is actually the only one who has managed to get anywhere near what Jordan did.
Whatever that means for his standing in the top 10 players list for you I think that cements him into the history of basketball and this performance in the Olympics is EXACTLY that sort of thing. When you say "you remember how they made you feel" I think this Olympics performance actually put Steph into the Top 2 for that category for me in front of Kobe. For me personally this is the most important list for legacy because it doesn't depend on position, history, competition or anything else that can greatly skew the results.
None of us will ever forget this

I dislike these G.O.A.T. conversations. These players you describe all have different roles on their teams. Steph, at 6'2" (no, he's NOT 6'3") isn't going to be a rebounder and he's not a great defender. However, no sane person will deny that he's the greatest shooter ever ... EVER. Steph also caused coaches to rethink defenses to guard the perimeter. His level of fitness is all world. I don't know if you'd put Steph as the GOAT or in 5th place. It's irrelevant. Steph is a first ballot Hall of Famer. No one would dispute this.

Kobe does not have better offense, Steph eclipse him so badly in that regard, it's actually disrespectful to regard any player's offense as being in the same stratosphere as Curry with regard to offense.
No other player in the top 20 is as much a threat on or off the ball, none of them are as great three level scorers or even have half as good of a handle, I haven't even spoken about the playmaking, the FTs or even the efficiency 🤣, I'm not saying Curry is the GOAT, but I don't think anyone can argue for 4 players being better all time...
