    Awesome vid guys. I was just doing run myself about 30 minutes ago and I managed a 4.06 to 100 without roll out. i have all the same mods as you aside from jb4. I also have xdrive We spoke on your last video about the 9.0 beta maps...I recommend starting in second gear...gets way faster and you only shift once instead of twice.

      Xdrive!!! You’re so lucky with that haha. Mine just won’t hook if I feed too much power in. We have tested starting in second and it ends up much slower. Starting in first o get wheel spin but it’s not like blazing the rears, where second will as the road speeds not there yet, It’s a challenge getting this thing off the line.
      Looking forward to getting the new tyres on a decent surface instead of what this was filmed on.
      Have you had yours for long?

      @SuperHbkforever 4 роки тому

      Oh you did try eh? (Sorry, Canadian moment) would you mind including an attempt with 2nd gear start in your next video for comparison?
      Yeah tires help...it's still winter season here so I've been doing these runs on my winter setup which after all the donuts I've done this year, need new rubber.
      I bought my car back in October 2018 bone stock. And a friend of mine has helped me install every mod so far. The next in the list is gasket refresh and then turbos. While we do those I'll install the inlets that are just collecting dust.
      Side note: your new wheels are pretty much identical to mine. I like them without the Orange!

      @@ZeroTo60Tube I think yours works best from 1st gear probably because you have boost by gear?
      Maybe playing around with boost by gear settings will give better results, but 4.73 in rear wheel drive is seriously rapid, and once it hooks its relentless. Great video guys 👌

    dumb question. What does 5.5 or 7.5 inch intercooler mean? Is the the height?
    I have an aftermarket ic fitted, just curious what I have and if it is somehow measurable

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 роки тому +5

      Not a dumb question at all. Its strange no one actually talks about it, i only know the answer, as when i fitted mine last week i did finally measure them. The 7.5" or 5.5" is the measurement form the front to back of the core. Not the height. If you take your under tray off, it should be quite easy to measure the bottom.

      As long as it is made for your chassis of course.

  • @spencer1803

    why are your boost levels jumping up and down so much between revs and gears? My n54 spools to 15+ PSI and stays there through all gears until I let off the throttle.

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 роки тому +2

      Gear boost limits, boost reduction on shift, modified wastegate rods (to help with rattle) and boost ramp settings all compound in to the mess you see in the video. It looks terrible as the JB4 tries to ramp boost as quickly as possible, then hits target as the revs rise so quickly, then it needs to pull it back for the shift and does it all again in the next gear. Because it goes through 1st and 2nd so quickly and it is only using vacuum to control wastegates it looks messy but it actually feels alright to drive. I can tweak it with duty cycle settings, but i'm going to wait until i have the new turbos fitted.

    Awesome video guys! Just one question: how is the trans cooler doing when standing still?

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  2 роки тому +1

      Not much, it’s fine for daily driving, but at roll racing trans temps creep up when you are sitting in the line waiting. I say creep up. It’s still cooler than a stock cooler

    • @BartjeMssls
      @BartjeMssls 2 роки тому

      Even if it would get to 100*C that would be fine. Prettig sure it will come down fast enough. Just wasn’t sure if would keep climbing after that. Thanks!

    what program you using on the phone to get the temps and time?

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 роки тому

      Its the JB4 app for all the vehicle data and we use a vbox to do the acceleration timing. Actually have 2 phones going for this setup....

    Hey, question when you are monitoring the intake temps where is that measured? On my 335d it measures before turbos. Only “charge air after intercooler” in my car measures the intercooler efficiency

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 роки тому

      The intake air temp sensor on the N54 is just near the throttle body, after the cooler. Ideally you need pressure and temp sensors to (calculate air density) before and after the cooler to properly see the efficiency of an intercooler, which hardly anyone actually does.

    Do you have a mechanical lsd? Or standard diff that uses e lsd? E lsd came out in 2008 sometime on 335i

    • @ZeroTo60Tube
      @ZeroTo60Tube  4 роки тому +1

      My car is a late 2007 build. From memory i just missed out on the big housing diff which the early models have, so i have a small housing non lsd model. The diff is terrible. It must be the e-lsd as it will leave 2 lines every-time, but it does not behave like an LSD at all when you are under power, its a very strange sensation. Definitely a needed upgrade soon.
