I agree 100% - if that's what happened. I was triggered by something in this case and decided I wanted to know more - because it all really upset me! What I learned left me more upset - and confused. Would y'all do me a favour and read my stand alone comment? I'm troubled by some of the facts and really want another opinion. I'm not asking anyone to agree with me - in fact, I expect many will disagree. I'm counting on other opinions to help me sort this out in my head!! But I am asking people to be kind and be rational if/when they disagree. I think that's reasonable. Thanks in advance!!

For the dad to give all his life insurance money to his baby daughter, I thought it was strange until Mike said that her mom started to do drugs right after that happened makes me suspect he knew she had a drug problem and would waste all the life insurance money on it if it was given to her instead of his daughter. It’s not unusual at all, because a lot of parents and a lot of people in general presume that by the time they are going to be deceased, and have any beneficiaries to their estate that their spouse would be deceased as well, so they leave things to their child or children their estate that their spouse would be deceased as well, so they leave things to their child or children. After all if your beneficiary is dead and you don’t have a contingent it’s still has to go through probate. My kids are the beneficiary on our life. Insurance policy is not my husband he has enough money and vice versa and our children are minors, so if God forbid something happens to one of us before they reach legal age one of us is still going to be the custodian of that money until the children, reach legal age. There’s a lot of different reasons why that might be the case but there’s really nothing unusual about it. I can tell you that from having seen a lot of insurance policies in my day and a husband who is an attorney.

she had been through a lot of loss, and never really got the support she needed to process all she had been through. attachment trauma can lead to unhealthily close bonding...which can explain how any feeling of perceived abandonment by these friends brought back all her worst fears & insecurities. paired with poor impulse control as shown by her struggle with addictions and possible other factors, she acted on her emotional response. it dosent justify what they did. it's truly tragic. i think mike's metaphor of a cornered rescue dog going for the throat is quite apt.

They don't decide to kill the next group of people that abandons them. She was emotionally stunted because she just couldn't accept the way her life was playing out, and innocent young women payed the price for it when they were nothing but kind to her.

@@shadominx3696 I'm the same age as her. No one in my schools was bullied for issues like that for long. Our most popular girls in high school were actually surprisingly kind (they were popular for a genuine reason, not superficial), and they protected girls like that. We still had bullies and b*tches, but they got shut down pretty quickly (and occasionally violently; my best friend busted a bully's nose and got no formal repercussions because the 00's were great).

It never changes: the lovely couple that plans and executes the crimes together always turn against each other when they get caught. Always. True. I think what they do in most (if not all) cases is tell them that the other one has turned on them and blamed them for the whole thing (even tho they haven’t yet). So they become enraged then actually do turn on them for real. Works like a charm, lol.
But ya, if I was told my husband blamed me for a crime, I wouldn’t believe them. Clearly these perpetrators don’t have enough confidence in their relationships to believe the cops when they hear they’re loved one has turned on them. They always believe it right away lol

Even if you try your best to befriend such people, your efforts will be wasted. Once such a person sees everybody as the enemy, you can't befriend them or show them love. This story has always haunted me...
I am close in age and had a similarly traumatic young life as Christine -but I had bad legs and LOTS of surgeries on them as my source of self esteem (and subsequent addiction) issues, instead of simply having no hair...
And similar to her story-shortly after starting at a new high school (from being sent to live closer to where all of my surgeries had to be done), one of the extremely popular, beautiful girls, with a heart of gold just randomly started hunting me down at lunch(I was in a wheelchair, so I wasn’t very hard to find😆), she befriended me, socially protected me and took me under her wing.
We’re closing in on our 40’s and are still extremely close friends to this day...and I can’t even begin to imagine ever hurting her!!
There’s literally nothing she could do to me, that could EVER make me consider, let alone *DO* something as evil as what Christine did to her “friends”!!
That can’t be blamed on drugs, that can’t be blamed on traumatic childhoods, that can’t be blamed on “emotional issues,” or “teen angst” and it can’t even be blamed on having a controlling/abusive partner...
Those heinous actions could only be done, because something is fundamentally broken and irreparable inside Christine’s sick little head.
She should never be released back into society.

Gonna be honest with you here. I'd switched mental gears over to the long format style and was genuinely surprised when this ended so "quickly." I was hooked on your channel from the moment I watched your video on the missing 411...on my way to Redwood National Park... for the better part of a week. Instead of freaking me out, it sparked my sense of curiosity about the area. It was definitely an interesting trip. Keep up the good work.

I remember this case from the Snapped episode. One bit I remember from that show is that Christine how disgusting the motel room was and how she was faking her withdrawals from heroin. When a cop was in the room, she was shaking, crying and puking. When she was alone (on camera), she was just fine. A truly manipulative lying lunatic.
Oh, and you can write her in prison! She’s on a pen pal prison site looking for love!

    • @s0lastsummer7
      @s0lastsummer7 2 роки тому

Wait, what? I mean they were both DEEP addicts which was obvious looking at that disgusting room.... only people in active addiction can live in those conditions without really seeing how bad it is, and I don't believe one of them could stay clean while the other used to that extent, so how could she NOT be in withdrawal? 😳 I'm not arguing with you, I believe you saw what you saw, but I'm very confused by that! It's pretty impossible to truly fake H withdrawal, the pupils of your eyes are the size of dinner plates, you're visibly sweating bullets (and smell like it too), you are covered in goosebumps from head to toe, your eyes water, your nose runs like crazy, you are writhing uncontrollably because it feels like you're coming out of your own skin, eeeeeeverything hurts like hell, I could go on and on! Did ALL of these things really just.... stop? Or was she just playing it up more while they were in the room? I wonder if it was just easier for her to dissociate a little while she was alone so she didn't feel it as much? I'm just so confused by this now 🤔

They had to transport her to the ER because She was on her period and bleeding everywhere and passing out from her withdrawals. she recieved methadone at the hospital then brought her back for questioning...she wasn't faking, doctors made statements in court that within a few months her body would shut down from the amount of drugs she was consiming.
