- So, I bought another SVT Raptor. This is a 2014 SVT Raptor "Special Edition Package" in Ruby Red Metallic. It's way too clean not to be my new daily driver. So what does that mean for the Terrain Raptor? The plan is to make it a pre-runner Baja truck that is still street legal. (Suspension, wheels & tires, new hydraulic steering pump, new bumpers, chase rack, lights, exhaust, possibly engine mods, etc.) Hope y'all are as excited as I am about this! Just be patient with me because Imma need some cash... Thanks for watching!

Looking forward to seeing the build. I love my Gen1 and have done some mods and looking do more but I like to keep the stock look for the most part... they just look so good!
I can’t wait to see This raptor build series and this channel is for sure going to get a lot more views and subscribers for making this raptor build! It’s going to be badass! I say you should get king long travel suspension with the front coil-overs and the by passes that will smooth your ride and jump pretty smoothly! You should for sure put the 2 tires in the back! Maybe put a fuel cell or just leave the tires on. Also, maybe you can roll cage it for safety and you can do some intense off road driving and jumping!
What's wild about this is that I just rewatched the raptor video last night.

Ha very nice rigs in your garage. If I had the time and money, I would drive my SVT Raptor down to RPG OFFROAD, get those guys to finish and complete the baja pre-runner build. In 2018 we drove down and had them bolt up the rear bumper, as well as dove tail the rear panels. The rear bump stop with frame stiffener kit is a great help from bottoming out. Corey and the rest of his crew are very good to answer any questions. Have fun go Offroad

Like someone else mentioned RPG and SVC make mid travel kits. I put on RPG tie rods so far on mine. Can’t wait to see the build!
I have the Howe power steering set which replaces the pump and res and I've never had a problem with it even when hooning around, for suspension I would hit up svc offroad, best in customer service and IMHO leagues ahead of everyone else across the board. I would wait on the chase rack until you get your bed cage in since you can probably tie a chase rack directly in to the bed bypass rack. I love it and good luck!

SVC has a great section for upgrades, including all of the suspension upgrades you talked about and lights. ADD has some nice bumpers and chase racks if you want more options as well. Corsa has a COI set-up to match their cat-back exhaust upgrade. There's probably more aftermarket COIs for the gen1 raptor than anything else. For the exhaust portion I would check out Stainless Works for long tube headers and exhaust. If you want to have it dump out the bottom and be short they have that or a side exit in front of the passenger rear tire. All of the options are on their site and it's very user friendly.
I have a 2013 that I'm doing a Corsa COI to a BBK throttle body, naturally aspirated to SW long tube headers with high flow cats and the Corsa Extreme connected to that with the factory exit. Will need a custom 93 tune to finish it off.

I have the same pump on my 13’ screw. Do you notice any stiffness in the steering and idle or noise when turning the wheel??
Svc and RPG make mid travel kits, gives you a chance to get fabricated arms and opportunity to run bypasses up front, then you could run deaver leaf springs and a simple 3.0x16 or 18 bypass shock in the rear with bump stops. Only thing is a lot of shocks are backordered currently. Since youre in texas TMX will probably be the best people to talk to. Currently making my 04 into a prerunner

Love the idea of having two Raptors. The SuperCrew is a much more practical daily driver. Would you ever consider getting a SuperCab to build as a pre-runner?
Noooo! Don’t do the bed cage!
Go with the Rouge Racing Cantilever rear suspension it. Keeps you from cutting up the bed and you still get 18-20 inches of travel 👌🏼

Congrats man! I’ve been wanting one of these ruby SE’s for a while. Currently have a white 2011 SCREW, thinking of trading it for a molten orange 2011 SCREW that a nearby dealership has, just don’t want to go through the work of pulling off my mods lol

Have you thought about doing it similar to the Shelby Baja raptors but keeping the 6.2 ? They’re chase racks look sweet

Check out the SVT suspension bro... Keep It Dirty Off Road here on UA-cam just got a Gen 1 & he has it... He just posted a video at the SVT shop here in So Cal... They make amazing upper & lower front arms, rear mid travel, bump stops, etc.... Hope this helps... That exhaust sounds WICKED at the end bro!!!.... Be well, do well & God bless y'all🙏🇺🇸

Honestly if your crazy about a off-road truck your better off buying a prerunner F150. It will be far more capable and cheaper than taking off all raptor components that make a raptor a raptor.
Man, I'm eyeing one of these in Supercab, but the idiot owner changed the original rims with some "crappy" 22" HD Rockstars... Sure, those are nice vs some stock rims, but for one of these Raptors, not having the original SVTs is blasphemy. I'll try and see if the original owner still has the original rims, but since I'm buying from a 3rd party used car joint, I won't keep my hopes up...
