It's because the men's 400m need some growth. Jermaine Gonzalez was very good, but he was injured a lot back when he was running..
I so much enjoy watching this video, life is like a relay race, someone that seems be at the far back can suddenly become first as much as he keeps running and not give up, how that South Africa man won was unbelievable, he has long legs, lol.

I was going to write the exact same 2 things. The South African 2nd runner was sensational! And Merritt ran that perfectly. So many times we see guys make their move at 200 and waste so much energy running in lane 2.

It was sad as he got injury. This made the USA lose in the 4x400m.
If you look at 1:34 you would find it surprising South Africa didn't win, if you look at 2:15 you would find it surprising Jamaica didn't win and if you look at 2:36 you would find it surprising USA won. Quite a good race actually.

last leg for the US was coasting the whole way
until this london olympic..I was really disappointed since we lost our streak but the other team (i don't remember who) truly did run a good race so deserved that win.
USA lost 2 elite 400m runner Merritt and Wariner as injury. However, Bahamas ran pretty well.

Americans cleaned up easily in the end given the great run by their last runner. He cruised to victory and made it look easy.
Bolt only does the 100 and 200 meter...and the only relay he does run is the 4x100

Leford Green is a good relay runner, but he had an awful hard task with Van Zyl and Merritt. That being said, this wasn't Green's best relay run. His 2007 leg was spectacular.
