1st Time Hearing "Be Prepared" by VoicePlay ft. Mykal Kilgore

- I'm a huge fan of a cappella, especially Pentatonix, Home Free, VoicePlay and Voctave. This is my first time ever hearing VoicePlay's cover of "Be Prepared"!
I pulled up UA-cam and saw VoicePlay had just put out a new song today, so I decided to do this on the spur of the moment. Let me know if you enjoyed it!

Hi Silverbell, I really enjoyed your reaction - it felt a lot like watching the video with a friend! I’ll be keeping my eye out, in case you do decide to do more (especially VoicePlay).
I like the reactors who play the whole video first then do it a second time and then do their analysis. Did you see Geoff's newest. He got the dwarfs back for Song of Durin.

Every reactor has their own style and preferences...if you keep doing it, you'll figure out what works best for you and your audience as far as stopping or not, how much to talk over the music, where to set the volume and such. Layne wasn't sure when he arranged this whether to stop in the middle for the dialogue from the movie like they did with their cover of Hellfire, or just skip that part. He decided to split the difference and build a little 'rap' around it so that it wasn't lost, but also didn't interrupt the flow of the song. Mykal Kilgore is a Grammy-nominated performer who was also founding member of 4 The Love, which later became 4:2:Five and then VoicePlay!

Mykal is one of the founding members of VoicePlay, back when they were a barbershop quartet in high school called 4theLove.

Yeah it came out wayy too quiet. Was hard to tell in the recording settings how it would turn out. I was surprised it came out way too quiet. I'll have to adjust that next time.
Hey! from a former Alaskan. Voiceplay doesn't block, don't worry about it. If needs be, break things in two sections, with an unbroken reaction and then an analysis. Or as others suggested, comment and then drop back 10-20 secs. It takes a little while to find the style that works for you and your subscribers. You're here to have fun, and so are we.
Saw several comments that Mykal is going to be in an upcoming video, I sure hope so - he has an amazing voice.

I can't hear the video. The volume may be ok for you but all we hear is you. You should never talk over the video. If you want to talk over it play it a second time & do it then. You wont get very many subscribers by talking allthe way through the video.
Hmm, I hear ya. I feel like if you don't talk enough, it just gets blocked, because then you're kinda just re-uploading the music video unaltered. So that had me concerned. I'll take your feedback into account and see if I can strike a better balance. Thanks!
@@Silverbell_TTV you won't get blocked. At least stop the video then talk then go back 5 seconds until the next time you talk.
