    Pretty interesting process. It takes a long time from start to finish. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.

    Get a wire saw to cut your block up.
    Get a large, fine fish net for aquarium fish. When the gel is hot you can drag it through to help clear it up some. The corners will be hard to get to.
    My buddy pours his through the filter into the mold. but he made the filter from mosquito netting and clothes hangers. It is a jam up way, but I can’t sew that well. He pours from a couple big pots into his mold. He puts his into a big plastic tool box to mold it. Hope some of this might help. I look forward to your videos.

      Pretty good ideas. People underestimate how tough this stuff is lol. It gives the illusion of being like jello lol

    WOW! Strong fingers fella! I'm going to try cutting my gel lengthwise and scoring them as you did. Tearing big chunks is tough!

    I laughed when you said "How hard can that be?" My famous last words😆 Thanks for posting. I just started doing this kind of testing. Any other sage advice would be much appreciated.

      Buy a heat gun. Does wonders on clearing up the outside of the block right before testing

    Ever considered lining the bottom with parchment paper. Might help. Sure works on sticky or delicate baked goods

      Hmmm not sure how well that would work out. The surface is finicky with stuff touching it and no longer being clear.

      Lol well you can’t take it with ya! I’m not sure how dangerous or potentially dangerous the fumes are from this stuff but I’d say a man could get the msds sheet on it and have a better idea. I can’t imagine them putting it out and suggesting to remold it if it was toxic but it definitely smells bad lol

    Thanks! I always wondered....
    Since everyone has to go through this, makes you wonder why they don't just provide (or sell) a 6 x 8 mold so you can fit everything in the first time...

    That’s interesting that it is possible to avoid most of the darkening when recycling the jell. I thought it was unavoidable. Thanks

    Thanks for the video. i just got mine and this is the first time i am remolding it and your video helped a lot. Do you take out the burnt parts when you remold it?

    • @thegundungeon
      @thegundungeon  Рік тому +1

      Yeah if you don’t it will have a cloudy area where it’s burnt. I stopped trying to get just the burnt gel and just starting cutting out a strip. You don’t lose as much as you think and it’s much quicker
