Thanks Mr. B! Please do stay tuned! Side note: when we were on the ferry sailing over to Fogo Island, another ferry passed us going the other way... it was the Astron! I couldn't believe my eyes! I looked into it and realized it is a different Astron (the Astron W) but still, it made me smile to think I was looking at your old ship in 2024!
I absolutely get it. Showcasing what you love about Newfoundland, simply because you love it all, is what it's all about. I feel the same way when I'm showing guests around this special place! Though I'd visited St. Lawrence many times since I was a small child (my mother was from St. Lawrence and wanted to go "home" every summer), I actually drove around the loop at the bottom of "The Boot" this summer. Frenchman's Cove, Garnish, Lamaline, Lord's Cove, Fortune, etc. had just been names of places I'd heard, but had never seen. It was fantastic to finally enjoy them! The highlight, for me, was Grand Bank! The size and beauty of the Provincial Seaman's Museum there was so unexpected! The commercial area had such pretty shops and wonderful places to eat, and every person I met was so genuinely warm and welcoming! I see another, longer visit in my future, for sure! I'm so looking forward to your next video!
Grand bank was the highlight for me too. But the whole peninsula is so calming. That's the best word I can think of for how it makes me feel. I'm definitley going to make sure I make it an annual visit myself, with Grand bank most likely being my home base. We stayed just outside of town this time and it was a beautiful spot (the first scene from this video was at our air bnb in Grand Beach, 15 minutes from Grand Bank) but I would have loved to wake up on Water Street and have an easy day of just walking around with a coffee and my camera. I will be putting a Grand Bank video together very soon. It won't be my next one but it won't be too far down the line. I hope you see it when it's ready. Thanks as always Carol!
AWESOME content for those of us landlocked here in Ontario with roots firmly wrapped around THE Rock. My father (God rest his soul) was born in Lawn in 1930 & my mother, one of the many older sisters of Harry Hibbs was born on Belle Isle. So many stories they shared with us growing up there and it is incredible to share your current story and see how they are connected. Thanks again.
I watch all you video and I love the way you talk about Newfoundland. I'm not originally from Newfoundland but this is my home now and this is where I'm gonna finish my life. Thanks for sharing your idea with us. Pat
Hi Pat I recognize your name from the comments you leave from time to time. I appreciate that you keep coming back to watch these videos, and I love knowing that you found your home here. Thanks for watching!
I’m very interested in Newfoundland and look so forward to your videos and because you give shoutouts to other channels that focus on NL, I look at them and view a different perspective…. Don’t ever stop doing what you do.
Thanks buddy! To anyone who reads this comment, check out this guys channel too 👆 (I mentioned this channel in the video that I talked about in this one). It's a good one!
The wife and I were down for a visit last weekend and had a great time. Mostly kicking around St.John's to check out Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi, George Street, etc, but we also took a road trip out through Brigus and up along the sore of the Baccalieu Trail so we could end in Dildo before heading back into the city. The next day we went down the Irish Loop through Bay Bulls, Witless Bay and stopped in Ferryland to do the lighthouse picnic. I kept an eye out for Mark as I drove through Mount Pearl but had no luck. Ha! Will have to make another visit to try again. The weather was great and it was a terrific trip and I'm looking forward to the next time.
That's a great trip... except for the part where you drove through Mount Pearl haha When were you here I was out of town with the family driving around the island for the past couple of weeks but we're back in da Pearl now.
Another great video Mark and I really appreciate the shout out. Like you said we all display our beautiful province in our own unique way what we find interesting and through our hobbies and travel. I always enjoy watching others perspectives, keep up the awesome work my friend hope you have an awesome week.
I told him… he said he already knew but he’s not sure about going because he’s prefers the supper reunions over the brunch ones haha The t-shirts are for sale… but I just noticed that this one isn’t showing up in my little store so I’ll try to figure out how to fix that now da once. Check here in a bit if you want to buy one: ilovesnewfoundland.com Thanks!
Wow, great one Mark..........I'm late to the show here because of the work I am doing on the homestead here and trying to beat winter of course.........thank you.....thank you for the shout out.........much appreciated buddy............There is an island close to where we live that was resettled but still has lots of people there in the summer..........lots of history there........we have a boat and I can get you there......hint.......hint.........for a future trip out this way.............pull out your google earth and try to guess which one I am referring to.........lol..........firstly, you have to figure out where we are...........lets play the game..........want to hear your guess. All jokes aside Mark great little chat in this one and an update for any new subcribers for sure......can't wait to see the footage from your latest trip.......Thanks again buddy.
I have honestly been trying to figure out where you are exactly for a while now. Pretty sure I have the region figured out but there haven't been a lot of clear clues on where you are specifically. I'll figure it out one day, and I'll figure out which island you're talking about too... Love the idea! I'll let you know when I'm coming back to where (I think) you are haha!
I just fixed up my store because they weren't showing up for some reason, but you can get it here: ilovesnewfoundland.com/products/unisex-softstyle-t-shirt-1?variant=42663969620104

The problem with NFLD is too many Newfies and not enough Newfoundlanders.
I love your content. Enjoyed this video. Where can I buy that shirt ?!
