  • The Opéra de Paris has announced its 2024-25 season in Le Palais Garnier et l'Opéra Bastille. Benjamin Bernheim, Lisette Oropesa, Ludovic Tézier & Asmik Grigorian Lead Opéra de Paris’ 2024-25 Season. Here is some more information:
    Verdi’s “Falstaff” opens the season with a cast that includes Ambrogio Maestri, Olivia Boen, Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Lesieur, Andrei Kymach, Gregory Bonfatti, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Iván Ayón-Rivas, and Federica Guida. Michael Schønwandt conducts the production by Dominique Pitoiset.
    Performance Dates: Sept. 10-30, 2024
    Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” will star Eleonora Buratto, Elena Stikhina, Aude Extrémo, Stefan Pop, and Christopher Maltman. Speranza Scappucci ocnducts.
    Performance Dates: Sept. 14-Oct. 25, 2024
    Offenbach’s “Les Brigands” will be directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Stefano Montanari and Michele Spotti. The cast includes Marcel Beekmann, Marie Perbost, Antoinette Dennefeld, Yann Beuron, Laurent Naouri, Mathias Vidal, Philippe Talbot, Eugénie Joneau, Leonardo Cortellazzi, Éric Huchet, Franck Leguérinel, and Rodolphe Briand.
    Performance Dates: Sept. 21, 2024-July 12, 2025
    Pene Pati takes on the title role of Gounod’s “Faust” with Alex Esposito, John Relyea, Florian Sempey, Amin Ahangaran, Amina Edris, and Marina Viotti. Emmanuel Villaume conducts.

    Julie Fuchs, Lawrence Brownlee, Lionel Lhote, and Susan Graham lead Donizetti’s “La Fille du Régiment.” Evelino Pidò conducts.

    Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte” will star Pavol Breslik, Nikola Hillebrand, Aleksandra Olczyk, Jean Teitgen, Mathias Vidal, Mikhail Timoshenko, Ilanah Lobel-Torres, and Nicolas Cavallier. Oksana Lyniv conducts.
    Performance Dates: Nov. 2-23, 2024
    Ben Bliss, Iain Paterson, Clive Bayley, Golda Schultz Justina Gringytė, and Jamie Barton lead Stravinsky’s “The Rake’s Progress.” Susanna Mälkki conducts the production by Olivier Py.

    Roman Burdenko and George Gagnidze share the title role of Verdi’s “Rigoletto.” They star alongside Rosa Feola, Slávka Zámečníková, Liparit Avetisyan, Dmitry Korchak, Goderdzi Janelidze, Alexander Tsymbalyuk, Aude Extrémo, and Justina Gringytė. Domingo Hindoyan and Andrea Battistoni conduct.

    Ludovic Tézier features in Wagner’s “Das Rheingold” alongside Florent Mbia, Matthew Cairns, Simon O’Neill, Kwangchul Youn, Mika Kares, Brian Mulligan, Gerhard Siegel, Eve-Maud Hubeaux, Eliza Boom, and Marie-Nicole Lemieux. Pablo Heras-Casado conducts the production by Calixto Bieito.

    Pascal Dusapin’ “Il Viaggio, Dante” will be directed by Claus Guth. Kent Nagano will conduct the production and leads a cast featuring Bo Skovhus, David Leigh, Christel Loetzsch, Jennifer France, and Danae Kontora.
    Performance Dates: March 21-April 9, 2025
    Verdi’s “Don Carlos” will be headlined by Charles Castronovo, Marina Rebeka, Christian Van Horn, Ekaterina Gubanova, Andrzej Filończyk, and Alexander Tsymbalyuk. Simone Young conducts the French version.
    Performance Dates: March 29-April 25, 2025
    Asmik Grigorian stars in Puccini’s “Il Trittico.” In “Gianni Schicchi” she stars alongside Misha Kiria, Alexey Neklyudov while in “Il Tabarro” she is joined by Roman Burdenko, Joshua Guerrero. Finally Grigorian headlines “Suor Angelica” with Karita Mattila. Carlo Rizzi conducts a production by Christof Loy.
    Performance Dates: April 29-May 28, 2025
    Nadine Sierra and Amina Edris share the title role in Massenet’s “Manon” with Benjamin Bernheim and Roberto Alagna alternating as Des Grieux. The cast also includes Andrzej Filończyk and will be conducted by Pierre Dumoussaud.
