Thanks for this great video, l have Greatly enjoyed it also great to see the bows going up and down also the stern ramp going up and down, they have come a long way since they used to use 2 planks for cars coming off the ferrys and going on to the ferrys - Great how things have changed over the years.
How these Captains manage to move these massive ferries into such small spaces, leaves me speechless, and that in itself is a miracle indeed! (I'm never quiet!). I realise that there are much larger vessels sailing in the oceans, but they are not taking their craft into such small areas, with tragic reefs around the coasts of the Hebrides! I'll miss LOTI when she is no longer in service, but hope that Calmac ensure they have enough vessels to cover in the future! Hebridean Isles just shows what can happen to a firm like Calmac trying to cover routes with fewer vessels, so LOTI being able to cover most routes makes her valuable! .Tich.
I was on her on the Arran run the other day It was great fun to be on her the food on her was fantastic 100%. The only thing I was disappointed in was the gangway at Brodick didn't fit her I love the way the gangway design joined on with the ferry terminal. It's another fantastic video you have taken.
Potential routes for MV Finlaggin could be the Oban-Colonsay & Port Askaig route as that would allow MV Clansman to do extra Oban-Coll and Tiree sailings. She could also be a second vessel for the Mull service running alongside MV Caledonian Isles once the new Arran ferries entered service, or lastly she could be a second vessel on the Ullapool-Stornoway route alongside MV Loch Seaforth. If there's enough demand for more sailings. Great video once again btw 👍
@@Scottish_Transport_Explorer Thank you! I’ve thought she could become the designated Colonsay vessel with additional Craignure sailings alongside Caley Isles, which would give Clansman and Hebrides (who I reckon will be moved to Oban) to cover Coll, Tiree and Barra
