I want this, because I love drifting, and I love the appearance of long low bikes, be it a modest stretch like this, or a bike naturally like that, like a Honda Valkyrie/Cafe-Racer-Goldwing. I don't like wheelies.
I've had my '01 gixxer 600 for 8 years and have gotten bored with it. Rather than getting another I'm gonna stretch it and bring back the magic. I've always thought '03's and older look better stretched anyway.
Hello brother absolutely love your explanation. Can you tell me which swingarm extension should I use for stretching my R15 V3? And if you know where I can find it? Please guide
I'm 6'4 220 lbs and would probably look hella stupid sitting on an r6 but I really want one, stretching it would counteract my weight/height and make me look better on it.
@@billbobjoes i got the FTD extension, it's adjustable from 4.5 - 9 inches. it keeps the bike down a lot better but now I see that I need a tire with more grip. i get wheel spin at the top of 1st gear with 200/50-17 continental conti touring contact. I ride a lot so i usually get these for price and longevity.
@@uptownsamcv okay thanks! Last thing I want to do is accidentally pop a wheelie, I prefer to keep it on the ground lol, I’m gonna look it up and see if I’d be interested. Stay safe!
Nicely done! You are correct about different strokes for different folks. Personally I like stretched bikes because of the custom look. How do know if it stretched 4, 6 or 8 over? How to measure that? My bike is stretched but I couldn't tell you how far.
I looped my built engine r6 and I’m scared to open it up again because it just wants to go up all the time so this video was so helpful maybe I’ll stretch it
Yes sir. Keep all your stock parts. It'll take 2 hours to completely put it back to stock. Even less if you simply shorten the chain and re route the brake line
Thank you for the video I’m about to get one from FTD customs. But I’m wandering about the quality if you have know about this brand or what brand that you prefer? Also how many inches you stretched that bike ? Thanks.
This bike was a 6" extension kit. Not sure where you're located but the best in the bizz. For sure is Roaring Toyz. They've also been around the longest. Never heard of ftd. But I do see their stuff all over ebay cheap as can be. 🤏
@@ChampionCycle Asking a lot but can you link the Extension bolt-on itself, the extended Chain & Brake line? Looking for one on my 2015 GSX-R 750. Thanks!
I know this is an old video but I am wanting to stretch and lower mine on the 954... I was curious how many inches did you lower the rear if you remember and roughly how many millimeters or inches do you have the fork tubes coming out of the triple tree
Every bike is different dude. We've actually done a 954 with bolt on extensions and a 954 with a custom fabricated swing arm. Jusitlower it enough that the front is a little lower than the rear whilst the rider is sitting on the bike. If you can. That's always the 👌
All right thank you very much I do appreciate it what I've been reading rule of thumb whatever you lower it is what you should probably cut off the kickstand is that roughly what you did@@ChampionCycle
Honestly, if you're one of our friends down in Mericcaa..... I'd say call up evil swing arms and order one. They look killer on R6's and are relatively cheap in comparison. Especially considering after looking at cost vs cost for reputable extensions. The full are will only be a $600ish difference. Lastly a full swing arm will help your suspension and bike have a deadlier stance. The arch on an R6 swing arm with extensions looks a little off. But I mean either way just send it !! 🤙🤙
I would prefer an explanation from a racing and performance standpoint. There's a whole class of Drag racers with stretched bikes. Why? To neutralize wheelies for clean take off? What else? What are the technical benefits. We need to go a little deeper guys.
I went to the r/motorcycle Reddit and it was CRAZY how many people were so angry at people wanting to stretch their bike. I find it crazy how all these people hate on something they’ve never even done. People just pick sides and shit on anyone who doesn’t agree with them and do EXACTLY what they do. Super lame lol.
Well said ! We service and build all different types. Have owned ALL types as well. Definitely changes your perspective when you're not just jumping on or off a wagon.
I bought my motorcycle stretched and lowered and thought it was pretty cool, then I hopped on my buddy’s bike unstretched and unlowered now I cry when I ride my bike lol can’t wait to get that shitty stretch off and have it handle like it should
Great video, thank you men. I have a 2020 Honda CBR 1000 RR-R, looking to purchase this kit for mine. Can you tell me where to buy it? Thanks in advance
I’m thinking of buying a bike with 3” stretch. My only concern living in FL is u-turns and speed bumps. Can I do a normal uturn and with bike 2” above ground level, is that gonna be a concern with speed bumps? Is there less need for rear brake with a stretched bike?
2" above ground is like riding/driving any lowered vehicle. But a 3" stretch is almost nothing. You'll likely barely even feel the difference.. I've personally taken a zx14 with a 6" stretch down to Tennessee and ripped the mountains scraping the belly fairings left and right with no problems. Moral of the story 3" is nothing you'll be cool
We almost always use a 190 or 200. You'll get a bit less drag out of a 190. But it's minimal for the average person. The 200 will give you that juicy fat ass look 🤣
Another question I have had a cbr600rr at 20 and a gsxr600 at 25 I prefer the body structure of the gsxr because the cbr is skinny but the gsxr as terrible throttle response in lower rpms I feel I've out grown a 600cc should I go with 750 gsxr or 1000
I’ve been thinking about stretching my naked z900 I have ECU flash so she comes up a lot I don’t like wheelies… what’s your thoughts on stretching a naked bike?? I seen a z1000 stretched and it was beautiful

I just stretched my 08 CBR1000RR and it turned out great, front wheels were going up way too easy in first gear.
