My boss said to me, "You're the worst train driver ever. How many have you derailed this year?"
I said, "I'm not sure; it's hard to keep track."
HAHAH!
I once asked if I could drive the train at 6 Flags, I was told no, because I was a bad conductor…I’ll see my way out…
*BA DUM TSSS...😊*
That sounds like a track crew problem. Check gage. Install gage bars as required.
In putting the cars away at Swanton Pacific one could not get the 1912 up next to the car barn on track one without dropping the pilot truck on the ground. The 1914 could go into Track one without a problem. That was an articulation problem on the pilot truck linkage. They are different. It was fun putting the cars away, and most people missed the show. One can watch it here on UA-cam.
😂
“If pigs grow wings.” LOL. I was an F-4 Phantom mechanic for years. Believe me, pigs fly.
😮😮😅😂
aw come on, the Corsair IIs weren’t that ugly! 😉🤣
🤠
@@bostonrailfan2427 After nearly getting eaten by a couple on the flight deck, yes they are! LOL!
I guess that they're TRAINed professionals to drive those trains.
Keepin' in RAIL.
Years ago Near Cumberland Falls, there was a attraction called Tombstone Junction. They had a real train, with robbery. Gunfights in the town. Saloon girls. And top name country acts on their stage.. I loved that place. Still miss it. Peck
Awww, neat!
The cool ones are the ones with steam engines.
They are all cool.
@@ArizonaGhostriders Extra cool. 😇
My brother drives a steam engine in Fort Scott Kansas at his clubs Steam Engine show. It's not a train but it's still pretty cool steam engine. It's a big steam engine.
@@moviedog1 Awesome. I bet he loves it.
This had all the bells and whistles.
🤣
Santee, All Aboard the Arizona Ghostriders Pew Pew Special to learn about the Old West. Let Santee drive the train. Thank you very much. You and Mrs. Pew Pew have a beautiful and blessed weekend.
🤠🤠🤠
This was so cool. I agree. Riding on the train is part of going to a theme park... We went to the EcoTarium on Labor Day. The wait to ride on the train, the Explorer Express Train, was over 2 1/2 hours!
YIKES Thanks, Santee...
🚂🌞🤗👏🏻👏🏻
Oh wow!
I love riding the trains at Western theme parks. We don't have one in the state I live in but they did in Southern California love to go to Knott's Berry farm every summer!!(
Love the trains. Especially the real steam ones. So much fun. Hopefully they'll let you drive it again, Santee! Have a great weekend! Cheers!
Thank You!
I road that train in Old Tucson several years ago... FUN .
It is.
Good morning Arizona Ghost Riders. Your friend Ted here. Back in New York when I work part-time at a petting zoo on Long Island we had a gas powered train as well . I have working on it and helped to maintain it. Every so often the train would jump tracks and it was a pain in the ass to get back on . The name of the petting zoo was the Long Island Game Farm. It was a pretty decent sized petting zoo with lots of exotic animals and I got to play with all of them, even the ones I didn't like. Stay safe my friend
Very cool. Thanks for sharing.
Yes we got a Pew Pew from Mrs. Santee
🤠
*More coal!!* What?! What do you mean it runs on gas!? Have you seen the price of gas, lately? It would be cheaper running it on coal. Also, I got the industrial-strength glue, and the goose feathers you wanted, Santee. Hey.... What are you doing with that pig, Santee? 🤨
HAHA!
This was great. Brought back memories to the train museum by the Wisconsin Dells.
🤠🤠
Mount Pleasant Iowa has a fantastic 1800's train at the Old Thrashers and Settlers Reunion.
🤠
I remeber one in Florida as a teenager. The conductor told everyone to slide to the right away from where we got on. Then he said slide to the left. When everyone had complied, he said that's the cleanest those benches have been in years.
Fun stuff 🤠
I love Knott's Berry farm train robbery. They use a full size train called the calico railroad
The Calico trains are genuine narrow gauge steam engines. Always awesome to see them running.
Cool! 🤠
The last train I rode was at Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. Very cool old train. Very cool video Santee!
Awww, thanks!
“Grand Pooba” lol!! Santee with the humor as always!
Thank You!
Love thise trains! Proud to have held up one in Texas a few times. Lots of times!
🤠🤠 Cool.
Great video Santee
Thanks!
I love all the amusement park trains. Especially the one there at Old Tucson. Thanks for all the great knowledge of movies you share with us every week, and thanks for sharing the picture of me with the cute pistol packin mama. Ha. Too fun. It sure was good to see you. Thanks again Santee.
I appreciate it and wonderful to see you too.
Rapscallions and ne’er-do-wells! My kind of people! 😂
HA! 🤠
Sounds like my family reunion!
@@greghardy9476 HA
🐴Frontier City 🌵 in OK City was My 1st Theme Park in the early 1960's .🐮🚂🚃🚃🚃
Fun stuff!
My favorite theme park trains growing up were the steamers on the Omaha Zoo Railroad. Number 119 was made by Crown Metal Products in the 1960s. Their second, Riva, was built in Austria in 1890 and worked in Italy, Romania , Poland and Austria before coming to Omaha in the 1970s.Both run on 2 ft 6 in gauge.
Nice!!
Love these trains. Like "robbing" them too when we get the chance! Great sound effects at the beginning. Must have cost you a bundle. Got it up to 85 MPH when ya drove it, eh? Only lost two passengers, eh? Landed up on cactus, eh? Glad it was there to break the fall. 🤣🤠🌵 Guess Rex was not hungry. Did not snag a passenger from the train. Always great episodes! Keep up the great work and we'll see ya on down the troll! 🧐🤔🥴😊😁🤣🤠
HAHAH! Thanks.
Hey Santee- Brian from High Plains Folk here. Really looking forward to when you can make it out to Sacramento- I’ll get you up close and personal to the one and only REAL C.P. Huntington. It’s here at our Ca state Railroad museum.
Sure, will do!
Wow...Arizona Ghostriders and Dave Meek's Thunder Mesa Studios in the same video, love it! (Thunder Mesa Studios was the scale model train near the end.)
Very cool! Yeah, been watching that channel for a long time.
Santee, there is a family owned business in Strasburg, Co. Uhrich Locomotive that specializes in “grand scale” model trains. They manufacture locomotives and rolling stock, mainly for the amusement park industry. That make both live steam as well as gasoline powered models. One of their creations is in Tiny Town Co. And another is in Lakeside Amusement Park in Denver, I believe these are both live steam. I had the opportunity to visit their facility several years ago. On that day they tested a model of D&RGW’s K27 live steam, what a beautiful product!
Very cool!!
It was very appropriate to hear the banjo playing Reuben's Train in the background.
🤠
Thank you for taking me back in time. I've been going to Old Tucson since 1970. It's one of my favorite places in the world .
Glad you enjoyed it
I remember riding the "skunk train" Roaring Camp in California as a kid. Fun times for sure!
More recently though, I've ridden the Virginia & Truckee (V&T) railroad (including in the cab) many times due to a good friend of mine being the Head Fireman. That is definitely an unforgettable experience.
I'd say!
💛...get it to 88 mcfly... ar' y'borrrred... pew pew...time's a wastin'...
HA!
In '71 I went to Knott's Berry farm, when you could afford it. There was a young kid operating their real steam engine. I gave him the business about his having trade----(How many people know how to operate a steam engine?) I haven't been there since. For all I know, he may still be there and doing the same job.
Maybe! Nice.
Will there be a follow-up video on full-size locomotives at theme parks, like those used at Disneyland or Knott’s Berry Farm?
At some point!
I'm actually looking forward to going to a Western theme park at some point that's in North Carolina....it's like 3 hours from where I live. It's called Tweetsie Railroad, and they do themed rides for Halloween and Christmas, they also use two actual steam powered trains at the park...sure it's meant for families but my old beloved Ghost Town In the Sky theme park my family used to go to closed down years ago and I've been desperate to get just a taste of that feeling for decades now so I'm willing to look outta place as a 30+ year old man going to the park by myself lol.
Heard of Ghost Town in the Sky.
I love how you "coached" Summer about driving the train. She seemed real "steamed" about it and "railed" at you. I guess she told you to ride a "steel horse" and go jump in the "Southern Pacific".
Nice! 🤠
Weather it's Thomas the Tank Engine or videos of steam engines keeping up with modern-day automobiles on the highway, trains will always be cool.
Agreed.
In Poway (North/East San Diego, Ca) they have a park with a couple of real trains from the 1800s (Steam powered).
They were someone’s personal trains. They each have an extra passenger car.
They also have some real coal carrying cars that had benches added.
I used to take my kids there every week. It was only like 50 cents to ride the train around the park (the park was circled with a train track)
Great info!
Who doesn't love a Train?
🤠🤠
Train robbers always get shot down in the parks.
Dying ain’t much of a living boy, said Clint Eastwood, but I guess those boys make a living at it
🤠
You didn't mention Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton, California, where I robbed the trains for years! I got shot dead every time .
That's fun stuff!! Good memories.
I'd love to ride a full scale steam train. I am about 50 miles from where Casey Jones started his last run, and his final resting place. If my information is correct and anyone is interested, Casey was a nickname, because he was from Casey Kentucky.
Great info!
We have s few heritage steam rides here in Australia, and one, called the Mary Valley Rattler, had the loan of a WW2 era Baldwin, which only just fitted on the turntable. It was precision driving, with the a bit over an inch clearance front and back.
So cool!
I consider this your "Hell On Wheels" episode, Santee, but with a much better ending 😏
HAHAHA!
Been a fan of trains since I was a kid (about 6). Where I grew up, Western Washington, the town of Anacortes had a small steam engine train (hand built from an old copper boiler someone found) that ran on some track rescued from a logging operation. it has a turn table at each end. They stopped running it when the man who built it passed on. Here in Fairbanks, AK we have a little train at Pioneer Park.
Pretty cool!!!
Good morning Santee…
Another excellent episode and now I’ve learned more about the trains and I thank you very much for all your time and effort
My pleasure!
I love trains. And riding them in Western theme parks is the best.
I think you would make a great train conductor! 🤠🤠
I started at Old Tucson riding that train every weekend night doing tours on it.
Hi Santee, you were right on track with this video! And by the way pigs do fly. Just like a rock does!🤠🇺🇲
Thank You!
Wanted to say thank you. You produce entertaining and well polished videos on stuff we all love. I also admire your willingness to say that you don't know when you don't. So many folks on this platform speak with authority on something they're not at all familiar with. So thanks for what you do!
You're welcome.
Trains are always amazing. I’m glad that more people are getting into the spirit and preservation process of trains.
Love it!
Thank you very much!
Another excellent episode. San Antonio has had a miniature railroad for years. When I was a child there were two trains running, a steam locomotive similar to the one here and a more "modern" F7 looking engine with open streamlined passenger cars. Both of those were retired in the late 80s or early 90s and two newer trains replace them, both steam replicas. Ha! We've even got a tunnel!!!
Oh wow!
It's not a train, but my brother drives a real steam engine. It's a big steam engine, too. He belongs to a steam engine club in Fort Scott Kansas. I think right now he even maybe the president of the club.
So cool!!!
OK everyone, we need to take up a collection to buy Santee a lionel train.............
Those are pricey...I'll chip in.
A great video Santee! I was lucky growing up in that NC has a western theme park called "Tweetsie Railroad" up in the mountains where they run a couple of old steam locomotives! The old west town even had a hoosegow with a locking cell. First time I got to see a staged gunfight. They also had a chair lift up to a prospectors section. Later on in life I stopped in Nevada City and Virginia City, Montana which had a steam train ride at the time. I guess my next stop will be the Durango and Silverton at sometime. Always fun to imagine riding west on these iron horses, and even with the smaller attraction trains still make it fun. Thank you again!
Pretty neat!
I'm from NC. Tweetsie Railroad is an early memory. It may still be in operation for all I know. It was based on a railroad that ran through the mountains, the Tennessee & Western NC Railroad (I think)
I drove US-550 (The Million Dollar Highway), which pretty much parallels the Durango and Silverton.
Fantastic scenery. That road is in my top 10 roads to drive in America.
One of these days, I'll do it by train, lol....
Santee, looking forward to one day, and go out there to see that area and ride the train. Would really like to visit old Tucson. Hopefully, one day I will be able too. Great video Santee, thank you for sharing.
Thank You! I'll be a-waitin'
Thank you 🥰
I love, love, LOVE your videos 💞💞💞
So glad! 🤠🤠
this might be an oddity, but have you considered a dressing the part: the conductors, firemen, and engineer train crew?
and those signals with the whistle? a bunch are right out of the FRA handbook,2 long, 1 short, 1 long = crossing warning, done a mile out and unfortunately for my city and our six crossings and station it carries far dye to need
Not an oddity at all. I'll do it!
@@ArizonaGhostridersyou get to show off your watch and fobs and your ticket punching skills then get dirty
@@bostonrailfan2427 Yehaw!
Great video! I've ridden that train many times over the years! Would love to see more "behind the scenes" type videos of Old Tucson. It's one of my favorite places!
Thanks! I will do my best to provide what I can.
I just had an idea- how about one that covers the late Roger Corman's Western films?
OK!
We had a local amuzement park that had a train. It even had scale crossing signals.
Fun!
I operated the train at our theme park. I always overshot the train station after the ride was over. That wasn't easy. Glad only did it for a couple of hours.
Wow!
Another great video Santee! I'm glad to see that your channel is still on the right... track.
Me too! 🤠🤠
Cowboys and steam trains. One day Santeee, you, may, have to accept-You are now an adult!
NEVER!!!! 🤠🤠
The important question here is, do they let Rex drive the train? Had my 30 year class reunion last summer at place that had a miniature railroad. And you bet we all piled on that train and went for a ride.
Oooo! Fun!
an episode without pew pews!, is a like a day without whiskey.
Glad you got your whiskey then.
I love riding the calico express at knotts Berry farm.
Oooo! 🤠
That is something I never thought about yet rode them as a kid and put my own kids on them many times. Awesome video Santee!!
🤠🤠
another awesome job , I love trains, Ive rode a few in my time. thank you again .keep it up
Thank you very much!
The only theme park train I have ridden is the one at Silver Dollar City. I’ve been robbed many times on that one. It’s a steam train too.
Cool! 🤠
Good day Santee. Once again a video to touch the inner child in this old fart. Thanks.
🤠
I love trains santee
Good!
Thanks much 😃
You're welcome 😊
We have a mini train at the Zoo and a full size tour train called the Tarantula in Ft. Worth, TX.
OK! 🤠
The railroad and the old west go hand in hand.
As always, great video.
Yes, thanks
So glad to see T-Rex in this video. He is the best.
Glad you like him.
You kind of had a one-track mind on this one. Best of Days to the Ghostriders.
🤠🤠
Drive a train? I wouldn't trust you to drive home a point! 😝
Wow. I bet you're proud of yourself with that one, Scott!🤣
Breakfast Pass. Charles Bronson looking for his hash browns.
HA!
I THOUGHT BILL WOULD ROB THE TRAIN !! ANOTHER GOOD FUN VIDEO THANKS SANTEE ADIOS
You're welcome.
Just down the road from where I live now( stuck behind the iron curtain) is a park and yearly old engine show week at Buckley. There They have a full size steam engine train using coal for fuel. Tracks about 2 miles and ride offered. Also a steam powered sawmill. A mill much like the one at my first job at 12 years old.
Mountain man
Interesting!
Love those old steam trains! I keep checking the classifieds, maybe someday. I do know a guy that builds scale model, live steam trains!
That would be cool!
Luv all trains
🤠
You should do one on Bob Haslam, the pony express rider.
I'll look into it.
Once upon a time, we had a narrow gage train at Brookfield Zoo - you can still see where the tracks were - but we went to trams. We DO still have a contemporary of Rex's - a Trachodon.
Hmm, interesting! 🤠🤠
One of my favorite parts of history is rail, thanks for the vid.
That's good. It's such an important part of America
Really great episode and sound effects on your part!
Thanks!
I love trains and thanks for sharing the backstory on these. I look forward to being there in a month or so and riding that train!
The train will run again in September for Nightfall. During the summer we shut down the attractions.
@@ArizonaGhostriders That's a bummer, oh well, I'll be there anyway.
Woohoo the classic hat is back. What size do you wear?
6 7/8
Santee, was the cattleman crown used in the old west?
I've seen a version of it, but not quite the same as the popular one today.
Anybody know how to disassemble and reassemble an Allan Herschell Carousel?
Not I...

Yep
Another great episode Santee, keep em coming.
Have a great weekend.

Very awsomely and interestingly informative, I really liked and enjoyed it, I learned a lot about amusement park trains abd old west frontier reenactments and got a lot of inspiration for my old west frontier, videogames ,retro and retrofuturism inspired writing projects.
Great job, well done and keep up the great work.
I'm definitely going to add both trains and amusement park trains to my writing projects world and theory stories as well as monorails, MotorHoop vehicles and hover crafts.
Glad you enjoyed it! Some fun info.
@@ArizonaGhostriders your welcome.

Great video, love the old Tucson train
Same here!
I operated one back in ‘88 at our local zoo. They are a lot of fun and I actually miss it.
