    Tire Repair.
After some practice I can repair a rear tire flat in 13 minutes. Removing the rear wheel is only necessary in rare circumstances. Do not remove the wheel! Before attempting to pry the tire loose it is important to make sure the tire is completely free from the steel wheel. The tire is typically seated or stuck on the rim. Just wiggling the completely deflated tire back and forth all the way around will dislodge the tire and the inner tube from any gluing effect.
Once you have pried the tire off on one side it's time to pull the innertube itself. First remove the valve stem. Sometimes it is wedged tightly in the hole of the wheel. Apply a tiny amount of oil at the base of the stem if it is stubborn. But usually a strong, deliberate push with your thumb will push it loose.
Once it comes out the entire inner tube will easily come out.
Often, before you inflate the tube you can deduce the approximate location of the hole. Either by the sound of rushing air escaping out of the tire before you even start. But if the hole cannot be found it will be necessary to inflate the inner tube as it sits between the wheel and the bike frame. The aim is to inflate is much larger than it normally is while inside the tire.
Some people have recommended dipping it in water to look for bubbles or using a soapy solution.
I find this to be a completely unnecessary mess. If you pump up the tire enough the sound of the air blowing out will make the location of the hole extremely obvious. You'll stay dry and mess free. While there is still inflated hurry and use the flat metal tool to roughen up the surface of the tube.
One of the simple tricks that I use is instead of using some secondary marker to mark the hole on the innertube just use the tire patch glue itself. As the air is escaping from the hole move the glue around in an attempt to accommodate the tire patch while being aware to make the hole in the generalized center of the applied glue. One the glue is applied you need 5 to 7 minute for it to dry. While you wait for it to dry be sure to completely deflate the inner tube. In all likelihood, once the glue is dry the hole will probably be invisible. That's ok! Because you have centered it nicely in the middle of the semi glossy glue. Be sure to keep the glue free of dirt and be certain that it is completely dry. Now you're ready to apply the patch itself. Peel back the protective bottom cover of the patch and carefully apply it to the inner tube. If you've done this correctly the patch is permanently bonded to the tire. It is actually a continuous part of the tube.
Before you reinstall the tube it is extremely important to find the culprit of the flat tire. I have removed thorns, glass, staples and nails from the tube. Checking the inside of your tire for a nail is very difficult to do with your eyes. Its much easier to do it with all four of your bare fingers. This is where caution an patience comes in. Very gently move your fingers on the inside of the tire. Do it very gently because it will be quite sharp. Before you start deduction really helps! measure the distance from the valve stem where the patch is. Then measure the same distance from the valve stem hole and shazaam! That's where the sharp object will be. I recently had to pull a very sharp staple from the inside of the tire and it just wasn't visible on the outside of the tire. Occasional the object will have fallen when the tube was taken out from the tire. Gravity would have put it at the bottom inside of the tire. Be diligent about removing all debris at the bottom of the tire. If available a wet rag does a nice job of wiping up glass fragments etc. make sure the spoke holes are squarely covered be the inside rubber belt. A little bit of talcum powder make the tube go in easier.
The first thing that goes in must be the valve stem. Make sure it is completely in and not binding with the rubber rim guard. Finish placing the tire while being carful not to allow it to twist or bind. Now pry the tube back onto the rim. Once its on the rim squeeze around the tire making sure the tube is properly in and ready to be inflated.
Inflate the tire and make sure the tire walls seat snugly and correctly on the rim.
Congratulations! You are able to fix a rear flat tire in the field in less than 30 minutes.

    (1) I have a Rad Runner Plus electric bike. Those who know the bike, know the rear tire has a lot of accessories, gears and hub motor in the back. And is complex to remove.
    (2) I just had a rear flat tire. A very slow leak that took 3-4 days to leak down to a flat tire. I did not want to remove the rear tire and would just air it.
    (3) Then I stumbled upon your video and was excited to try it.
    (4) I left the bike on its two wheels and the kickstand.
    (5) However, this is what I did different. I used a spray bottle with a water/dish soap mix.
    (6) Aired tire up to PSI setting.
    (7) With disc brake and gear cassette covered with towels (did not want to contaminate with dish soap). I Sprayed tire tread with soapy water and looked for a bubble air leak, as I rotated tire.
    (8) Found bubbly air leak and marked location. It was a deeply imbedded, strong and sharp plant thorn that was not easy to spot. Deflated tire.
    (9) I did not remove the whole tire from one side of the rim. Using Tire Lever Spoons, I only removed a quarter (1/4) or more of the tire from one side of the rim WHERE THE HOLE PUNCTURE WAS. I left the Tire Lever Spoons in to help with leaving the tire separated from the rim.
    (10) Retrieved the section of the tire tube in the rim (did not remove tube stem from rim) and then aired the tube up just enough to feel and see the hole in the tube.
    (11) Patched hole and reassembled tube and tire. Aired up tire to PSI settings and no more leaks.
    (12) Your video saved my bacon. Thanks MrBuzzBill.

      Jimmy that is most excellent!
      Great additional suggestions.
I've patched the tires about 6 times since I made this video and have improved my technique quite a bit.
My goal in the video was to learn to fix a flat in the field with minimal tools.
I fixed one the other day in 17 minutes. Thanks for all the great suggestions.

One more little trick I've incorporated. Get a sewing thimble for your tire patch kit. Hopefully you already carry a small first aid kit. Once you find the culprit it protects your finger to PUSH it out from the inside. These thorns staples, glass and even needles are very dangerous if they break through your skin. Take care.

Good to know I can fix a flat on my wife's Rad mini without removing the wheel, thanks for sharing. One thing that is a bummer, the bike falls over when the rear tire is flat as the kick stand will not support it. I guess we always know as we approach the bike if it is flat or not. LOL

I've had my runner for almost 2 years, I use it alot. Another thing, keep replacement fuses for the battery. I had a fuse die on my way to work. They are easily replaced. One 15,for the charging system, and one 40 for the bike. I now replace them once a year. There is no warning that the fuse is weak, the bike just shuts off. The fuses are on the battery.
