Mike, I have a useful tip for you, for the next time you use those tire levers...You do Not have to hold the tire lever in place after you have got it under the bead...The opposite end of the tire lever, with the little hook (that you used to go around the tire bead), simply hook it under the spoke. Now you have both hands free (not having to hold the tire lever in place, because it is hooked to the spoke)...Nice to give you a little tip, to repay you for all the tips 👍 you have given us.
This is the way
i was about to say the same thing, it was stressing me out when he kept pushing the tire back on the rim, and some stronger levers, the plastic ones are fine for normal small tires.
This is really useful because you don’t have to replace it. Good job Michael
Thanks for the video. Only video I’ve found of a fat tire being patched. Just the tutorial I needed.
You’re welcome and thanks for the kind words!!
Great tips! I've never had the need to remove a wheel to fix a puncture but I'm aware of a number of e-bike users that think it a necessary step.
I put a CO2 inflator in my emergency bag for flat tire issues. Very small and can carry several CO2 cartridges in case of multiple flats. I too had problems getting my stock tires off the rim with plastic levers. Broke 2 in the process and had to resort to a steel screw driver to get the tires off. So I bought steel levers for next time.
Solid. Same bike. Same issue. Was almost home. 2.5 miles
Really well done...thanks much Michael. I feel like I can do it now too.
Learning is half the battle 🙌
Thanks for watching Robert!!

I felt the struggle when you were taking off the tire… thanks for the vid, good to know just in case!
Nice video I do like ebikes but I don't think the cars have much of a future as of now
Cool, thanks for showing the reality of bike ownership 😎😎😎
You bet!
Thank you that help me fix my tire today
That's awesome, glad it helped !!
🤙🏽✊🏽✌🏽🐾
cool. In my head it was possible. Thanks for demonstrating. Congats on the electric car.
Glad it helped!!
Cheers 🐾
Thanks for the vid ,super helpful
Thank you for the great video. I have the patch kit and just ordered the plastic levers.
Anxious for the arrival of my x-class and my long seat! :))
Glad it was helpful!
Get steel levers. I broke 2 plastic ones changing my X-Class stock tires.
After having multiple plastic tire levers break on me I upgraded to Park Tool TL-5 steel tire levers. They make getting the bead off so much easier, just need to be careful not to move it on the rim while prying the tire, may scratch the rim paint. Also upgraded to the thicker motocross tubes that Splices put on his Grizzly.
I did the same (steel levers) after changing my X-Class tires.
I hear that. I considered it but didn't want to scratch my wheels.
The plastic levers I use came in a set of 4, but I only need 2 to get the tires off.
Keys are:
1. Use soapy water ! (I keep some in a tiny spray bottle in my pack)
2. Break the tire bead on both sides for maximum clearance
Maybe 3 or 4 tire levers would be more helpful 💡 The metal item is patch kit is for roughing up the tire, not smoothing it !
Ahhh thanks David!!
Great tips 🙏🏽
Thanks boss 👍
Thanks for this valuable info! I hope I never need it! 🤙
You're welcome !!!
Always be prepared 👌🏻
Always!
Must work for the guvmint.
Nice video.
Thanks so much
If I'm riding solo and my ebike is not on a rack, I'm assuming I could complete this repair by inverting the bike onto its handlebar and seat? Also I carry a small CO2 inflation bottle
What kind of ebike is that?
Nice what kind of electric pump do you use?
Description 👍🏽
Can you use tubeless tires?
No rubber cement? Very cool
Are the patches in your bio? Are you active military?
How's it going Mike hadn't seen any new videos in awhile hope all is well with you bro quick question I'm about to order 52v bike wanted to use your link what should I do to ensure you get credit for my order and how do I apply your code to get $50 off
Hey Ivan! Thanks for watching and for the kind words.
New videos coming soon!
You can add our code "RustyRoads" at checkout for $50 off 😎
What color are you considering?
Thanks ! 🐾⚡
@@RustyRoads looking forward to more videos bro I'm going for the blue I think it's gonna look real good with those blue halos that you have on to your bike thanks for replying keep up the good work
Why happened when it’s a slow leak? Very hard to find the slow leak hole with the wheel on
Spray the tube with soapy water until you see bubbles 👍🏽
Good luck!! 🐾
@@RustyRoads ok thanks much, I will try that.
Where's the content,bro? Seems like you're slackin'!
