One wheel vehicle (Monowheel) built by Kerry McLean and recorded by mr.d of kimerykreations at Schoolcraft College "Wheels of Tomorrow" in Livonia Michigan USA.
For Kerry McLean it all started with the first monowheel he built in 1971 and after his first ride he was smitten with the bug to make it better. Kerry has been building his unique monocycles ever since then and he continues to refine his creation with each new model. Kerry has developed and sold numerous versions of his monowheel, the smallest which is powered by a 5 hp Briggs lawn mower engine and his largest model is powered by a Buick V8 engine!
Visit McLean Monocycle on Facebook or their website www.mcleanmonocycle.com for more information. - Авто та транспорт
Glad to see Mr. Garretson finally mastered the art or riding these.
That's stupid they had them back at night back in the 18 1900s I had a wheel like that That's nothing new
It still beats what you have to go through at the airport.
Marcus B Mr Hat would like this
C. mao jeethus christ.
Marcus B Where's the mouthpiece?

"Wheels of Tomorrow"--a device first prototyped in1915. We've had a hundred years to make the monowheel practical. Maybe this is our lucky year?
its like south park
Or Men in Black 3. Take your pick.
South park was the one to create it first.
@@hueyfreeman3103 Or you know the original from the 30's
@@infinite0hacker447 hah I guess everyone is just re-thinking the wheel. 😄 hahah
The only motorcycle concept that lets you go over the handlebars multiple times in one sitting, without falling off.
This is dope. See, monowheels are difficult to turn normally, but when putting your foot down they can turn incredibly tight. If you learn how to use it, a mono wheel can be used inside a building pretty well. Any other thing that can drive inside of a building will be out-maneuvered by running or walking. But this thing is actually better. I did some calculating and it’s mind boggling. If you’re inside of an office building, a well designed mono wheel will be able to move around the corners and straights much faster than someone who is running. Just imagine that. I think this might be great for use by security in things like malls, or offices. Imagine a security guard on this thing. People run away inside buildings all the time, but with this, security can do it’s job better. I have a quite wealthy friend who also heard me out on this, and he is thinking about investing in this. I’m commenting this here, just to be able to look back at my comment in a while, and see wether this became a succes or not.
I’ll remember everyone here if it does become successful
So how is it going so far?
*and so an answer never came*
Parabéns pra quem construiu ... Ousou e fez algo diferente .. deste protótipo pode sair algo mais pra frente
Essa coisa existe desde 1800, não é algo tão diferente uma agora.
With one wheel, are you doing a permanent wheelie or stoppie? ( your choice which)
mr garrison
+dixie faps my exact same thought. He excluded the front and rear controls though... and the side manuevering handles.
+dixie faps yes, this
dixie faps your profile pic is perfect!!!😂😂😂
He almost died like 5 times just going around a parking lot. Can't wait to see this on the road.
Brett Losey 😂😂😂😂
And he almost killed like 5 people 👍
Not to mention braking would be physically impossible. Your only option would be to use your feet.
futuristic vehicle, this motorcycle is years ahead of her time
Wow, that looks really safe! :D
That was on Ripley's Believe It or Not, about ten years ago. They claimed it was a new invention, but I recently saw old black and white photos of the same invention from some time around the 1930s or 1940s.
it is older ua-cam.com/video/MD9v9v7Dbqk/v-deo.html
General grievous? Is that you?
Oh my god, I was thinking the same exact thing! Well said! LOL!
Reid Haight i think south park xD
General girevous or MiB 3 momcycles too!
Hello there
SENPAI KENOBI
The creative capacity of the human being has no limits.
"Guys, we need to create a new transport method for the future!"
"How about a single wheel? You sit inside it, so you have shit visibility, is really uncomfortable to use and we'll also have you sit really low down so if the road isn't perfectly smooth, you'll destroy your spine! As an added bonus, a crash of any sort is 60% more likely to kill you!"
"Brilliant! Make it happen now!"
Actually, these mono wheels have been around since the 1930, so they certainly aren't stuff of the future.
koshi116 I'm guessing Renko Usami is refering to the title of the video, Wheels of tomorrow.
Chill bud let people have a little creativity.
That dude swears he's styling in that on wheeler lol
Jack Atlas from Yugioh! 5ds.
He was doing a wheelie the whole time!
RIDING DUEL, ACCELERATION!
I really want to see him lock up his breaks.
if i got one, thats the first thing i would do..
+jayden shadlow Most likely the last as well.
steve g
Probably..
+jim ritzheimer I think he is wearing his brakes on his feet. He had a big one with a v-8 and lost control of it, flipping it multiple times. Bigger is not better for this thing, nor faster.
brakes*
1:52 Fart
Now I do have one question about....the ...”air car “1..is it running on a special tracking underneath? To keep it up?? What causes it to float??
Has every right to show off his creations that epic
This makes me think of the episode of South Park called the entity, where Mr. Garrison tired of the inefficient and frustrating airline check-ins, decides to invent his own vehicle the Gyroscope powered monowheel lol.
Yes I was thinking of the same thing. Glad he doesn't have anything up his butt though...lol!
I'm trying to imagine what would happen in an emergency stop..lol
the inner rim that you sit in spins independently, you would spin on the rim a little....probable not even a quarter turn though.
I know the outer wheel is independent, but the action of applying the brake you would have thought would eliminate said independents and bind the outer rim to the inner, then logically power to weight would cause the whole thing to roll with you inside it, now I know that doesn't happen, but I'm intrigued to know how the braking arrangement still maintains independents between the outer and inner rim, I'm talking under extreme braking conditions, how is the friction applied to stop the vehicle yet still allowing for the centre to spin freely, I assume it operates similar to anti lock brakes on a car.
You ever see a hola hoop fall on its side :P
+legionbunny I admire your optimism much more than your understanding of simple Newtonian Physics!
That's why he has such thick soles on his shoes!
that was just awesome ! Seems like a lot of fun :-)
Esses Americanos malucos! Formidável, parabéns!
SouthPark ruined this for me hahaha
Wall tile
Muito Bom!!!! Queria dar uma voltinha nele aqui no Brasil....
Not a new idea, but he rides it really well. In fact so well, you wouldnt realise that it is completely uncontrolable. A stoppie would be entertaining though..
Holy shit MIB
"Ever had these in the future? "
did anybody see that southpark?
If only it was the South Park version.
It would've been better.
How do you change a flat tube on those things? where do you even buy one?
Awesome bike. SUPER cool
This reminds me of a South Park episode.
does it spit oil in your face when it is finished? 😄
That looks like alot of fun!
Awesome! They will sell, they will work....Just need the circle lit up with a light for for visibility! All good
Try this, 1 month riding and you're going to have a flat shoes...
and a flat ass lol
You mean bottomless shoes😄
South Park :D
anyone?
ChiLLaTzE35 yep, its "IT" ..............(((((((((((((O
Notice they had ppl standing in front of him when he got up? Didn't see the mouth piece though.....
M. Torres lol
ChiLLaTzE35 we were just talking about the episode
Ciaran Toscano
muito bom parabéns pela apresentacao
wow really cool!
i was thinking of building a go kart, but that is just awesome!
this isn't 'wheels of tomorrow' they had monowheels in the 1930s
panrick This was actually invented & patented by Richard Hemming in 1869 he called it a Hemming's Unicycle. 😊
Jellie J9 Talk about old-school.
actually the hemmings unicycle did not have an engine. first one with an engine was in the 20's..
Moonshine J3LLi3
The wheel with the engine was invented by an Italian in the 30s
Is anyone else watching this video and thinking of that South Park episode?
Yes omg Yes..
What's the secrete to riding it and making it better?
That thing was invented in 1935 and it's still cool af
Interesting, how it performs an emergency brake application?
How does it steer on a highway? And within a city traffic?
Or how does it perform emergency maneuvering?
By the way, the Dynasphere from the 1930-s had a genius steering system! Don't know how it would work at modern speeds, but the idea is brilliant!
And here you need lots of shoes:)
I thought about the shoes first off! Greetings from 2022- my advice is to stay 8 years ago.
@@erikdeeNOSPELLSNO
Ahahahaha!
Maybe now we have some 'Kevlar reinforced shoes for single-wheeler emergency braking'.🤣
Greetings from 2022 :)
CARAI MEU , q porra da hora...

What if you brake to fast? Does the driver of the monowheel spin?
what happens when you hit a bump? looks like suspension needs improving.
Just like Star Wars (Episode 3)
"IT"
Nice looking!
This is IT!
This is cool... until you run into something and slam your face on the inside of the wheel. Also, what happens when you slam the brakes too hard? Haha
This is cool, but you do realize that monowheels have been around for nearly 150years. Not really the wheels of tomorrow.
when you break, do you spin like crazy ?
How you do wheelie on this ?
South Park
Star Wars - general grievous
xe vip vãi
Gerrison It bike :D
I want to see him do a wheelie!!!! lmao
nice..
but i´m still in love of motorcycles !!
thanks for share !!!
how do you stop that thing?with your feet?
its mr. garrisons IT bike :O
Axxx sfreka
I hope he’s got a spare tire in case he gets a flat
That's one sick bike
Very loud and very cool :)
Shut up and TAKE MY MONEY
South Park!!!! :D
world become better place by someone alway invented something new.
even if it does not working perfect yet.
Imagine a hovercycle...
looks really uncomfortable
In my city when it rains 😂😂😂 😂 he would be underwater...better have a snorkeling pipe for air
Where did u buy the one-wheeler
looks like he forgot where the brakes were and had to wait for it to run out of petrol !
(thats the excuse i would have used !)
Irre gut !!!
Too low to the ground for my azz.
mókás
super
oh yeah way better than the last video I just watched that tried to pull this off.
niiiiiiiiiiice
Do you have to put your foot down to turn
- Can't pop a wheelie
- Can't perform a stoppie
- Can't drag a knee
- Can't power slide
- Can't power drift
- etc. etc. etc.
Pointless piece of $%^&
SSMateuszSS Can't brake (if brake to hard, roll away like an idiot, same for hard acceleration)Cant't take passanger
But it gan do front/backflips :D
Laura Zariņa Probably an anchor will help to brake ;)
SSMateuszSS Seems to me he has no choice but doing a wheelie.
kirk douglas Still my comment is valid.
It's impossible to pop a wheelie if you in wheelie mode permanently.
SSMateuszSS True, but he can do a *heelie*.
It's like a smaller version of those cool wheel cycles in the third MIB movie
Where do I put the saddlebags?
how can you pop some wheelie with this thing?
what do you think is better? This or a hoverbike?
how the breaking system works??
Nice, All the best for new advanced bike. Please go ahead with new models.
that was amazing bro i realy like it
Soooooo what do you do about that 50cc oven in your chest exactly?
Mr Garrison comes straight to my mind...
Gives whole new meaning to the term "a wheelie" .....
The future??? Of course......hats off to you folks!!
dirt from the road keeps lifting up from wheel to the face. What about in rainy days, will it got worse?
SO AWESOME!
these monocycles were actually made back towards 1925 so they are actually not new but they do look futuristic
Does it come with ABS?
Do you have a model where you spin together with the wheel? Im interested .
How many miles to a pair of boots?
thanx steamboy for this idea
That's AWESOME!
Does it shoot exhaust in your face?
