ive o wned a 2006 300c AWD since 2009. Only issue ive seen was the gas tank problem, which was fixed for free by CHrysler. Had one valve cover leak, replaced gasket myself. Other than that, the car has been flawless.. 104K miles on it now. Still loving it.

I replaced my intake manifold gasket while replacing the engine wiring harness. I basically treated it like an opportunity to take care of several little things which had been bugging me. I was absolutely convinced that the intake was full of oil sludge, because there was some visible where the EGR tube goes into the intake. That’s the real reason I pulled the intake. To inspect it. It also made the wiring harness swap easier. Well I was wrong. It was an optical illusion, as the surface had very slightly rough texture to the touch , but without light at just the right angle, it appeared as excessive sludge build up. I tried cleaning it with a flaming engine cleaner and a brush attached to a drill, and a little bit of oil residue came out. Otherwise, it was fine, and I looked at pics of a new one, and it didn’t look much different inside. Also, I could see the backsides of my intake valves quite easily. To my amazement, they looked very clean, and except for the very edge, they looked shiny and new. Crazy. This on a car with 180,000 miles. The misfire issue is because of the computer. So is the oil pressure code, and several other intermittent codes. The dealership replaced almost every sensor, as I have a Chrysler Lifetime Bumper to Bumper Warranty, but none of those “fixes” ever lasted more than a couple of weeks before the car started stalling again. After five years of them giving me the runaround, I replaced the computer at my own expense, and not with a new OEM one, but a lifetime warranties rebuilt one from CarComputerExchange, and the car immediately ran better than the day I bought it, and even the trans shifted better, not that it was ever a problem before, but it shifted more firmly under WOT, and even the brakes and steering felt better. Anyway, the ONLY real problems I’ve ever had, were that I radiators replaced twice, and then parts related to that issue, twice, but they only failed because the car was running on low coolant often, but normal temps. The leak was always undetectably until it finally would give a chime and show high temp out of nowhere, about once a month in the summer. It had a pinhole leak so small you could barely feel it, and couldn’t see it without lighting just the right way. The original brake rotors are junk, and warp easily. That’s one thing obvious. I was having them serviced every 20,000 or less miles, while regular aftermarket ones have lasted me some 70,000 miles. The suspension bushings are known for premature wear. And apart from that wire in the door breaking, rendering the passenger window inoperable from the drivers switch, which I fixed myself. I’ve never had one single problem with any interior component. All door locks, sunroof, windows, stereo, etc, all work great, at 189,000 miles. The clearcoat is intact, and under the car there is zero rust except for certain bare steel places which are obvious places and usually wear items. There are rattles, but those are from the dealership taking things apart and putting them back poorly. The differential is also one thing which needed a rebuild at. 165,000 miles, but that is directly related to two things. When the bushings start to fall apart, they allow move me to where there should be none. In the rear, this movement could also be called compliance, and it allows the control arms to shift around a bit, which allows wheelhop, but only in the wet. Wheelhop is a sure fire way to ruin an independent rear suspension. I also have been pulling a 2500 trailer with that car since new, and quite regularly, with maybe 1/3 of the miles covered we’re pulling that trailer. If that’s not a testament to the reliability of the entire drivetrain, nothing is. Oh, and the drivers seat started cracking so I replaced that with a new leather bottom cushion cover. Otherwise the interior shows very little wear. The car is great. The dealership and Chryslers directives are not.

You forgot the #1 issue with the front windows not working. In the 300c if the stereo is replaced with an aftermarket stereo it will create electrical interference basically deactivating the driver switch. The driver switch will only work the rear 2 windows and the mirrors won't be able to be adjusted.

Never take it to the dealership unless insurance is paying for it. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for serious damage to your wallet.

Taking it to the dealer is a recipe for financial damage and damage to something else that was never the problem. So Im miffed.

I'm looking at buying a 2007 Chrysler C300 diesel turbocharged. The guy selling it says that the turbo is not working because of a sensor. Do you have any idea mate thanks Graham

+The Aussie Nurse Flipper. We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

So all in all its actually a good car then 🤷
No major issues to speak of.
Normal wear and tear items nothing I would call a major issue here.
Not like fuel leaks or gearbox/ transmission issues.

Top 5 problems? Hell, it would be easier to say, "Here are the only 5 quality things that Chrysler was able to produce for this vehicle."
    Gigantic turd of a vehicle.
