I bought the 2005 300C new for my wife. She will murder any vehicle. As of today 9/21/24, I still have this car with 300,200 miles on the dash. I have done some maintenance once I got my wife out of it. It will still get-on-up if need be. The only issue I have is a slight lifter ping that repair shops says," not loud or bad enough to worry about.
We had the 3.0 Mercedes diesel v6 over here in the uk and it suits it perfectly. Very quiet yet oodles of grunt, and I'd get 42 full fat mpg average out of mine. Need another!
@@typeshift-f2y i was lucky to find my boy Louis who sold it to me. I paid 10k for this one but my wifes gold 2012 300c limited edition had 50k more miles and I dropped 12k on that one.
@@BernonCars she just got new tie rods and inspection today she's lovely. I don't take her to work much I just drive my old beat up caddy lol I had some overheating after installing a new water pump because I failed to change the thermostat together. Later I installed a cool temp 180 stat and she's been cool as a cucumber when I'm at topspeed.
Good video bro , I have an 05 with coilovers and I can say the coilovers really make a big difference on handling , not the fastest by any means but moves great !
It had quite a presence. The retro style was nice when it was released. I had a base version as a rental. Steering is vague, body roll, and it’s dark inside with small windows. Really dreaded driving this big boat.
Its not an e-class and never was. Its the former LH platform with e-class front suspension and S-class rear suspension + NAG1 5spd. In 2011 the Merc suspesnions were replaced and in 2015 the NAG1 was replaced. From 2015-2023 they had no Mercedes parts
It's still very much an American Mercedes with muscle. That's also why they sold well in Europe too, comfortable and drives like a Mercedes because it used quite a bit of Mercedes parts but with better reliability especially with the hemi. Of course these cars came out when Chrysler merged with Mercedes so these cars were kinda like tests to see how they would come out and I think they came out beautifully!
The front suspension of these cars are garbage. I've had to replace it on ALL 3 of my 300s more then once. They clunk sometimes in as little as 6 months after having brand new parts put in. Its something you have to look for when buying these too because its such a common problem. Not really a great note to end on. I will say this.. They don't "feel fast" because they're heavy.. The numbers don't lie, they're pretty quick
I would hang onto that cool classic!
this is my favorite car and absolute dream car.. i want it in ivory/ cream color with the grill like in the video!
One day!!

I fell in love with that front grill look ever since seeing one being driven on the Sopranos in season 6
It's iconic!!
A later edition featured in Breaking Bad too. Heisenberg certainly enjoyed its roar.

I found one here in Germany, it’s a 2005 limited I believe and it’s a 3.5L v6 engine and I’m really considering it. Should I pull the trigger on it?
Nice, if it seems to be running and driving properly I would go for it!

It's an American Hot Rod Behemoth.
Indeed it is!!
