My high school director studied under Paul J. and taught until 1982. We performed Christmas concerts that were very much like the Concordia Moorhead Christmas Concerts. We performed this number for our Christmas Concert 1968. My former high school can no longer offer Christmas music, etc. That policy makes me ill. We will be performing this number in church very soon. It still moves me to tears.
Bravi! These two scant pages of this arrangement are easily dismissed as too paltry by those who don't know how difficult it is to sing well. Paul J. was a master at gorgeous part wrtiting. I would have preferred it to be a bit slower, and with more of a sort of rubato to enjoy the gorgeous chords and sonorities. But this is a fine job of singing.

Where did you go to high school?
I attended high school at Sibley High School, West St. Paul, MN. It is now known as Henry Sibley in Mendoza Heights, MN
Beautiful arrangement, beautifully sung. I have long loved this song!
Amazing how they sing without moving a muscle! :D
I sang under the direction of Paul Christiansen at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. He would have liked this rendition of his arrangement.

I am sure Concordia University choir would be the best at performing this, since P. Christensen was their director in the past.
