      ***** I don't know who you are or anything about you, but I bet that you are highly religious and that your head took a trip back to the '60s and stayed there... People who murder people, rape or torture ane NOT in their right mind. I recommend you to start reading facts, it's proven that being gay straight or whatever lies in your DNA and that it in fact isn't a choice.

      Yet no one really does that. Because deep down everyone knows it's bullshit and unethical.
      But THESE people....literally believe it. Reason #8789374 why literal religious belief is fucking insane and evil.

    I finally gave up on reading all the comments, because there were so many, and so much name-calling, and so many invalid arguments presented.
    There is a saying, "If you don't approve of same-sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same sex." That pretty much says it all. If you believe that if you tolerate homosexuality that God will punish you, then reread the Bible. The last documented occurrence of God striking someone dead for displeasing Him was in Acts 5, when Ananias and Sapphira lied about the gift they brought to God.
    Paul said that everyone must work out his own salvation with fear and trembling. What I do is no concern of yours. Jesus said that if your message is not received, move on.
    In other words, it's nobody's business who I love, or what I do in the privacy of my own home.
    The last time I tried to visit the Homosexual Recruiting Office, I couldn't find it. You just had to decide for yourself whether you were gay or straight.

      Too late. God is working on you right now, and I do mean God, the Lord GOD of Abraham and Isaac, not some tinpot idol that you imagine I worship. I pray that God will reveal Himself to you in a very real way, and open your eyes and your heart. May God richly bless you.

    • @waynehowell6160
      @waynehowell6160 9 років тому

      You'd better go back and reread that. Abraham was the uncle of Lot. Yes, the men of Sodom wanted to rape the angels, which is as close to a loving, committed relationship as a man raping a woman. Rape is rape. God was going to destroy the city before this happened, you may recall. Why was God going to destroy the city? Ezekiel 16:49 "Behold, this was the guilt of your sister Sodom: she and her daughters had pride, excess of food, and prosperous ease, but did not aid the poor and needy." (ESV)
      God looked at Sodom and couldn't find 10 righteous men.

    Dear gay people
    You owe your very existence to HETEROSEXUALITY. So please stop calling normal people homophobic for believing in real marriages and normal relationships. Please realize that we do not hate you, we love you. We just refuse to accept your deviant life-style. If you lack perseverance or determination to quit homosexuality, then seek counseling. It helps.

    • @joshm60
      @joshm60 10 років тому +19

      Eugene Koshanof Everyone who is alive today would not have existed if one of their ancestors didn't rape. That means that *your* statement about owing one's existence to heterosexuality can also extend to rape. If you don't like the consequences of *your* arguments, then don't make bad arguments.
      Many people have led wholesome lives with same-sex partners. Your continual insinuation that gays must change their sexual orientation to live a wholesome life with the person they love is an insult.

    • @eugenekoshanof7328

    • @joshm60
      @joshm60 10 років тому +17

      Eugene Koshanof It's *your* argument that leads to the logical conclusion that rape is moral. I'm merely pointing out that deficiency in *your* argument. It's called a reductio ad absurdum argument (look it up). I don't accept rape as moral partly because I don't accept *your* reasoning. Since the same argument you use against homosexuality would lead to accepting rape, it's a flawed argument that doesn't work for either.

    I'm only a little over halfway through this and I'm honestly pissed that I haven't heard of how bad it is there until now, and I try to keep pretty in touch with lgbt issues. I knew it was illegal to be gay in certain places(and there still is) but I never really thought about how bad it would be in those places and I'm disappointed in myself for not looking more into shit like this...Also another reason why I hate when people say things like 'Gays can get married now, isn't that enough for you?' because no it's not, people will stop talking about homophobia when homophobic is dead.

    You have every right to disagree with homosexuality or even to avoid interaction with gays. But your rights stop when they threaten another person's life and well-being. You have NO inherent right to imprison, torture or kill someone because you disagree with their lifestyle. Whether that "lifestyle" is homosexuality, drug use, prostitution or anything else is irrelevant.
    Uganda has much bigger fish to fry, like poverty, rape, disease and poor education. The gay outrage is a dangerously stupid distraction.

      If a person's lifestyle hurts others then there is a very strong reason for imprisonment. I am not talking about homosexuality at all as I do not believe it hurts anyone at all. However, you mention drug use. Many people are hurt every day by drug use. This is something that needs to be controlled. I do not agree in any shape or form that it is appropriate to allow someone who is taking serious drugs that cause them to be violent and/or to steal should be allowed to carry on their merry way continually hurting people.

      ***** You are right! religion has been and still is the source of great evil in this world! agreed! but what people have to understand is that the evil created by religion does not directly comes from religion per se but from us spiritually ignorant humans. religion is there to be our guide towards God which,by the way,is the true purpose of life.religions sets standards of conduct for us to follow and those rules are not there for us to challenge for divine moral standards are eternal in their character: 'thou shall not kill' and similar injunctions will be there for eternity. Verses against acts of homosexuality clearly state that this is against the will of God,therefore those acts are forbidden by God.
      You will never believe me: I DON'T HATE HOMOSEXUALS, but it really upsets me when this people tell the world that is 'ok', 'normal' or 'natural' to be gay! IS NOT! THEY CHOSE TO BE GAY? FINE! Your life must be pathetic and even worse: you might not even realize how pathetic it is when you don't even know the purpose of your life! Isn't it? But don't worry,i'll help you: the only true purpose of life is the pursued of happiness,a happiness that only God can give YOU. Obviously, you're a homosexual and spiritually blind. Truly sorry for you. Change while you can.
      Being a homosexual like you is NOT normal etc,and is abomination onto God(the God you don't care about, i know,i know). Like most people here, you're young and immature with some level of education and zero wisdom, wisdom that normally comes with age. All religions condemn homosexuality and the Bible is not a fairy tale.Don't worry,I'll pray for people including homosexuals.

Anyway, it seemed like there were still heavy pockets of intolerance in the UK, but I'm not totally sure if that would be a correct observation.
      I don't know why the United States has been so far behind compared to some European Countries and Canada. We grow up being told that the US is the land of the free. I also got teary eyed when he brought those poor homosexual people living in horrific conditions, food and shelter items. Guy is a fucking hero. PS: I'm not even gay and I love this guy. Perhaps I Identify with gay people in some way due to my preference for woman's feet and, trust me when I say that in no way do I compare being gay with having a foot fetish. The irony here is that the homophobia in Uganda is a legacy of his country’s colonization of Uganda. It is a legacy of the buggery act of 1533. The 31st king of Buganda (modern-day Uganda) Mwanga II was renown for being bisexual yet still one of the most beloved rulers of his subjects. However, after the British arrived and brought their “Christian” missionaries with them who converted his subjects in turn, led to them overthrowing their beloved ruler.

    As I watched this video I realized how lucky I am living a peaceful life being a LGBTQ Member because I never experienced being hated like what Gays in Uganda have had experienced. I think the problem of Homophobic people are the idea of respect and love of being different. I live a life surrounded by religious people, I live a life living in a huge number of Catholic and Christian religion country and I have friends who happened to be a religious but you know I thank God that they Love and Respect me for who I am. People should open their hearts and minds to spread love instead of hated because at the end of the day religion, church, culture,beliefs and tradition will not save us from hell nor send us to heaven what will save us is being a believer of God no matter what you just need to have the strong Faith despite all our sins and imperfection, GOD will love us unconditionally just repent and just say sorry for all the things that we have done wrong. I really believe that even I am Gay or an LGBTQ Member God still LOVE me. I will pray that those people who hate gays will learn to RESPECT, ACCEPT and Love LGBTQ Members.
    Kudos to the people who made this Documentary you let me see things that made me think that a LGBTQ Member like me has more ways to go to fight for equality and the right to express our true color.
