I'm a grown ass man in full uniform at my security job, tears streaming down my face as I reminisce about my childhood and wish for all my life that I could go back to that time. The freedom of youth, the friendships that have long since passed, and most of all, the closeness I felt with my family back then. This song and several others on this album (I'm on my first listen at this moment) envoke(s) a powerful nostalgic feeling, and boy am I ever here for it. Bless this band.

This is one of those songs that live the entire crowd will just get lost dancing and jamming in unison. The last 3.5 mins are so upbeat. Will def become a live favorite.
During the slightly techno breakdown, I can picture a short drum solo. Something like Kenny Aronoff did on the breakdown of Mellencamps " lonely ol night"
Usually, a band disappoints me with the followup to a masterpiece. I spent 2018, 19 and 2020, listening to Deeper Understanding constantly, wondering if they could do it again. THEY DID
@@oldbrotherhubbard I listen to Don't Live Here almost as much as Deeper. Totally agree, whether it's as good or not, it's pretty close. The live versions of the newer stuff is better than the studio mixes. " harmonias Dream" in particular, is a 1000 times better live. Especially since they added Elisa and she does those Enigma-style angelic chants with the vocoder, during the breakdown. I don't understand why they're not all over radio
Was listening to this while driving the other day. Had one of those comical moments where I became so overwhelmed with how good the song is that I randomly choked up. I was just thinking to myself, wtf is wrong with me, pull it together man! Great song!
This song is everything I love about Adam and his merry men: heart felt lyrics, beautiful melodies and a rousing chorus. Dreamy music(pun intended!!!)...
I think the bass on this song is totally under appreciated, there are some little riffs in there that add so much depth, and also it just holds the whole song together
My favorite track off the new album. I love the way Adam puts together his chord progressions. There are always one or two extra chords and the progression starts a beat or two earlier or ends a beat or two later than the ear expects.
