Interesting bit of info regarding the date being written on the back of the tags. So I went and checked my Daiwa Tournament Goretex suit and discovered the date of 30th July 2001. It still looks in very good condition and keeps me dry. Only gripe is the hood design was a bit big and floppy back in those days but I clip the hood peak to my cap and it's fine.
I must be unlucky then as I’ve had 2 lots and both bib and braces started to leak in the same area of inner thighs just where you tend to put the landing net to unhook fish . And yes they were washed according to instructions , cleaned washing machine first then used grangers and put in the tumble drier . The jackets are great though and still 100% waterproof .
I don’t think you are being unlucky. You’re expecting too much of the garment by constantly throwing pools of water into your lap. Eventually it’s going to get through when doing that. Try using the Halkon Hunt goretex towel around your waist and cover your crotch area. That’ll solve your problem.
I’m currently looking to buy some but I want it embroidered. How do they size as spending that much I don’t want to get it wrong is a large a proper large or are the small or big for there sizes

@@thomasbadger854 kind of defeats the purpose really if you have to wear something else to prevent water leakage in waterproof clothing

They are generous sizing. If in doubt, go direct to Halkon Hunt. They will advise you best and complete the embroidery.
