I like it how 1st clarinet is all calm and has just all whole notes and some half notes, then like half way througH OH WELP YOU'RE PLAYING FLIGHT OF THE BUMBLE BEE, then it just goes back to whole notes and acts like nothing just happened
Found this messing around on jw pepper. sent it to my band director for spring concert suggestions. Told me we had it. Played it for the class. Everyone jumped up and screamed. Needless to say we rocked this one.
@@FastnOut I was on French horn at the time, but the clarinets were quite upset lol. thanks for bringing back a fun high school memory on a comment I don't even remember making 5 years ago
We are playing this for honor's band and I'm excited. I'm also terrified because I'm a flute Edit: one year later and we're playing this for regular band. It's no longer hard and I can do the sixteenth notes with ease :)
I try the 16th note run on clarinet whenever I get bored and have nothing to do. I know its just a chromatic run going up and down but my brain gets jumbled and I forget if you're going up or down the chromatic
@@Lei-I tried it on clarinet before and no matter what, the fingerings are too weird. Flute fingerings for A Ab G F# and F are easier to go back and forth from
I’m playing this exact arrangement in my band class and I have the Clarinet 1 part. Which stinks because the chromatic passage at measures 49 and 50 is so fast and hard.
Probably just so it doesn't get too repetitive, we once had a piece that was the exact same tune for 20 measures and some audience members actually got up and left the building.
Hey, what software do you use to write the music? I'm a writer too, but the software I have isn't nearly as good as yours and I don't want to waste $200 on a trashy software. What program do you use?
@@kingofthenerds7925 tbh it's not hard if you think about it. It's just the chromatic scale going down and up. It's difficult for beginning/intermediate players but it's not hard. Just needs time and practice
1:26 flutes and oboes though
Andy Wu trumpets as well

Francis Bonnefoy omg I thought of the bumble bee song. To when I got the sheet music
RIGHTTT LIKE WHAT DID I DO???
Because in the original song there is a chromatic section that goes up and down
I totally agree, it sounds so amazing!

How did you guys do on the 16th note chromatic section?

Seemed easy enough for clarinet until I saw 1:13
I was thinking the same thing
Uh huh but me flutes have a WHOLE different thing ;)
It's not that hard. You only need 20 fingers
Ik playing that on bells lol

Flight of the bumblebee who?
I did it on Flute it wasn't that bad and I'm a student been playing this like 3 years ago and it sounded pretty good (I recorder myself)

I think flutes really getting credit because they have the bumble bee part
TyRhey Jones they are not the only ones mallet got that too.
mallets don't need to breathe
Jayson Holguin true the mallets get credit too
The clarinet and the flutes both a have the bumblebee part.
TyRhey Jones mallets part is fun though, especially after the chromatic part having to switch to bells in between 1 beat

Is it interesting that I learned how to play flute 1 on a bassoon at a 164 tempo?
*y e s*
Yes
How in the world did you survive the chromatic section
isnt it weird how i learnt how to play bassoon 1 on a flute at a 164 tempo??
I'll gonna ask to my music instructor for play it to Music Festival next year with my band xD
probably not gonna be on a festival list. sorry to dissapoint.
Im rolling away
We’re playing this in band- I’m an insane Tambourinist ok

I play the third trumpet so its pretty easy 😎
Bravi quelli che suonano😂
Happy we aren't playing this, I would fall asleep as a clarinet ZzZzzzZ
Rikke Togeskov except the chromatic part
Rikke Togeskov A part is only boring if you make it boring.
Trombone part looks even worse
I almost did
this is too much watering down, it's already grade 3 and transposed, any simplification is unnecessary
my band played this today ;D
you are lucky...my band only plays smtg. like Movie themes for band...but also some cool things like Pink Panther or Heal the World😏
