The bloomin onion is delicious but is so greasy you're liable to feel ill afterward. In other words : a classic American food.
Much like many american foods it's also meant to serve multiple people, and as an american this is seen by some as a challenge.
I googled UK where to find blooming onion and reddit says a few places in manchester have them, recommends asking for 'salt and pepper onion petals'.

I get not being able to pronounce more like obscure words, but the J being a "yo" sound is common and should be general knowledge honestly..
